Sorry, but now that GH works solely with credits and no longer with coupon codes there's no longer an option to put in any code to get games at a reduced price.  The only way to get games at GH now is by using your credits, using your reward coupons, or by paying full price, which is something I never do.

Bummer.

You can still do it, you have to uncheck the box where it applies your credit, then you'll get a box for a coupon code further down the page. Takes the price from $5.99 to $2.99 USD for SE. I tried it with FAVORITE and it still works. I just adore GameHouse. I'm paying $69/yr for the Funpass, getting 12 free SE games that earn me 3 reward coupons that I can use on CE games. And if I want to buy more games they're half off and the SEs are cheaper than BFG. They're about 3 years behind on most HOG games, but I'm that far behind in playing them so there's still plenty they release that I haven't bought or played yet. And their TM/M3 games are pretty current, a lot even release at GH before they're at BFG. I'm a total convert.

Thanks, Wendy!

I tried using the code last week or the week before but couldn't use it as there was nowhere to put in the code!  When the buying page first loaded it flickered with the coupon code box but then that disappeared.  I tried unticking everything - the credit box, the reward code box - and then tried everything else I could think of but that little coupon code box wouldn't reappear.  For every single game I tried - SE or PE - the page flickered with the box then it disappeared and all I was left with was to choose using my credits, my reward codes or cash.  So thanks for letting me know that it still works as I just tried it and yes, it still works!

I wonder why it wasn't working the last time I tried it, why that box kept on disappearing?

I find it very odd!  But now I can go and get all those PEs I wanted - which is why I tried it last week - at half price, getting 3 punches, instead of waiting until I have 2 credits.  Because, as you said, it only takes 4 punches to get a reward code that can be used to get a PE!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Thanks for the code, Wendy.  Glad it is working now for you too, stusue.

A strange thing this morning around 4:30 am.  I peeked in here while I was up for a couple of minutes and saw that this site had 36 guests.  Weird, every time I log on here there is just like 10 guests or under.  Nowhere near 36.

Black Swan is a game either you really going to like or you don't.  I really like it.   It gets better as you go along.  It's beautiful and has a interesting story and the music is from Swan Lake and maybe from other ballets (?) The HO scenes have 4-5 obvious morphs in them.  At first I didn't understand why the items kept morphing because I clicked on a few and nothing happened.  Now, I think I know why.  Each HO scene is visited to twice.  Once as a list and the second as a progressive silhouette.  This game is not really easy and seems to be really long.    To compare it I would compare it to Invisible: Beyond Evening.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I've now finished Detective Ross: Episode 1: A PI in Paris and Dreamscapes 2: Nightmare’s Heir. Detective Ross didn't have great reviews on GH but I liked it. There doesn't seem to be an Episode 2 out though and I really want to know what happens!.
I didn't enjoy Dreamscapes 2 as much as the first one.

GH was down for a morning 1 day last week so I tried a couple of Mad Head games I'd bought from BFG a while ago. Both were off-centre. So I sent in a ticket and got 2 coupons! Used one on Beyond: Light Advent. Trialed it and I like it, Sun I might trial Black Swan tomorrow then. I love Swan Lake.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

If you do demo Black Swan be aware that the game play is not perfect.  I have run into a few small hiccups, so far nothing major and nothing yet where I had to start over again.  I just had to skip out on one of the progressive silhouette scenes when it froze and nothing I clicked would work except the skip button and one close up scene which is all black.

Mad Head Games is having a half off sale today.  When looking it over I noticed the Nevertales series and Maze 360 & Beyond: Light Advent weren't included in it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

This morning I finished Echoes of Sorrow and enjoyed it a lot.

Then I did trial Black Swan, Sun and I love it. Before I knew it the trial was almost over. I used my coupon and got it and will start it from the beginning after I've finished the game I'm on now. Thanks for the tips about the little hiccups.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I've finished the first 9 chapters of Mystery Case Files: Fate's Carnival Collector's Edition .  This is a long game, and since I'm trying to do MC's Castle Challenge, it might take me until the end of the month to finish this CE.

And I must not let myself get distracted when Vermillion Watch: Moorgate Accord Collector's Edition gets released either tomorrow or Saturday.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

That does sound like a long game, TiramaSue!

I finished Legends of the East: The Cobra’s Eye PE today. It was a pretty long game which I started yesterday. REALLY enjoyed it.

I've almost finished Echoes of Sorrow II but don't like it nearly as much as the first one. In fact I'm looking forward to finishing it as then I can start Black Swan!

There are a lot of the so-called Super Puzzles in Fate's Carnival.

I agree with you about the two Echoes of Sorrow games.  Loved the first, was disappointed by the second.

I like the sound of Super Puzzles! Alas, I don't expect GH to ever get the game!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I've finished 13 of the 14 chapters of the main game of Fate's Carnival.  Wonder if Dire Grove, Sacred Grove is as long?
