stusue -- The Honeymooners have an incredible lot of traveling planned! The length of their trip seemed wonderful, but now that you've filled in a few details it barely seems long enough!
I'm sorry your hip was bothering you. Hope you are feeling better now. And I really hope you'll have some time to just relax and do almost nothing when you get home.
I didn't eat enough (when you consider how much walking I did) when I was on my own in Europe. The first week my cousin fed me very well and the same for my third week with my other cousin. Despite that I came home having lost weight (which I couldn't afford to lose). I definitely want to go back. There's so much I didn't get to see in Germany and Krakow. I want to see Austria too.
teeitup -- I'm glad you've been cleared to swim. Hope the toe is an easy fix. Fins crossed that you'll get to Maui!
Wendy -- There's still a lot of the US I'd like to see, and I definitely want to go back to Europe. I've only seen Switzerland on a ski trip, so I'd like to go in the Fall. Everyone that I know who has been in Italy would return at the drop of a hat! Your poor cat!

Hi stusue Nice that you get to spend some time with your niece and her husband showing them the sights.

I tripped while walking on Sunday and fell down. It's been a long time since I had a skinned knee and I don't even know how the bruise happened on the back of leg since I fell forward. Hurt my wrist too since I used my hands to break my fall. All winter long no falling down on the ice or anything. A beautiful day comes and whoops down I go. LOL

Feel better sunshinej. It doesn't look as though you did too much damage. Hope you heal up soon.

Thanks lilyr. No, not too much damage and I've been taking plenty of vitamin C for faster wound healing.

Yikes!!! You have a little sunshine yellow in that bruise. And it is weird about the bruise on the back of your leg.
The kid has finally decided to start talking this last week. Since he's 2 1/2 he's skipping by some of the steps so it's kinda strange. He's saying sounds instead of the animal name and he's obsessed with baby whatever now so my Chihuahua is Baby Ooh, (like ooh, ahh) ooh being his word for woof. It's so cute when he wants to pet " Baby Ooh" (which I love for a name), they end up doing a circle around me, Baby Ooh is not so sure about him. He gets mad at the other dogs because he only wants Baby Ooh. Or his Baby Moo, he's been real big on cows the last 2 weeks. In contrast to that sometimes 2 or 3 word sentences come out of his mouth with perfect clarity, we'll be looking at each other saying "Did you hear that?" All winter when I'd talk to him he'd basically ignore me, now he looks at me and responds. You couldn't get him to do anything with numbers, last night I was playing solitaire and he came up, pointed to a 9, and said "Nine". He wouldn't even sing Old McDonald's Farm a week ago, now he picks out the E, I, and O from his letters. It's been frustrating because you knew he had to know stuff but wasn't showing it, now we're finally seeing it. I'm leaving next weekend and it sucks, cause he's so much fun now.

Ouch, Sunshine. Looks sore. I always hurt my wrists when I fall over.
Pleased the kid is talking now, Wendy. My son was over 2 before he spoke a word and then talked in full sentence! Kids progress at different ages. My son did end up going to Oxford University to study Maths. He has big brains. Maybe he takes after me!! LOL!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Fudge. It's just been kinda frustrating because you could tell that he wasn't stupid, just not talking. Anything mechanical like he was always intrigued with, there was no hesitation putting the different shaped blocks in the right holes, he just wouldn't use words. Shortly before I got here his grandmother was living here, I've heard how her and her daughter scream at each other, that's a big reason Grandma moved out. Hubby said he watched little Joey when they'd get into it and he'd do that thing where he jumped he was so scared. I guess he was talking some before I got here, Hubby always said he thought all the yelling and screaming made him quit talking, and I think he's right. It's finally relatively calm around here, there's still some yelling but not to the extreme it was.
Getting ready to leave this Saturday or Sunday. Glad to be leaving, hate to be leaving. I always get so nervous. This time should be easier since I'll be less than 150 miles away until the end of May, and I might be able to get home for a week or two now and then over the summer.

I think your hubby is right too.
I hope you can get home for a week or two, pleased it's not so far away.

Ouch, Sunshine, that looks painful. I did the same thing when I went to the funeral home to pre-plan my folks' funeral, hurried out to my car to get cell phone and didn't see where the sidewalk jutted up and was in flip-flops and there was no stopping. I felt so embarrassed and there was a nice man looking out the window and ran out to help me. Had to have X-rays later in the week because it was really hurting but nothing broken. I did end up getting cellulitis pretty bad in the calf area so be sure and keep it elevated and look for any redness.
Wendy, that little boy has probably benefited a lot from having you around. He sounds pretty smart and was taking it all in but wasn't ready to verbalize yet, esp telling is that he knew the 9 on the deck of cards. Good luck with your season and be careful.
