I've decided to pass on the sale.  I checked out the promo video and it looks like the game has people possessed by demons or maybe they are demon spirits.  Not really my thing.  I remember demoing Curse of Blackwater.  It had tentacles, if I'm thinking of the right game, and I had had enough tentacles in the two Haunted Halls games I played.

I still have over 30 unplayed HOPAs, so I can make it to the next sale.
 

Yes, Black Water has the Kraken tentacles.   I'm so-so on the Curse of the Ancients series.  I don't think they need to be played in order, I think they're just different stories about ancient curses.
Someone gave me a PCC and I got the Square Puzzle game.  I saw Lily answered a question in the forum, which helped me but I'm still confused.  It says to start out with the quest.  Is the quest where the letter Q is?  Do I just keep doing whatever puzzles are in Q?  Or one puzzle from each different area, like the paintings?  I have no idea if I'm supposed to be doing something specific, if there's an order in what I should play?
 

Since I last posted I've finished Ancient Secrets: Mystery of the Vanishing Bride, Alexandra Fortune: Mystery of the Lunar Archipelago, Mystery Seekers: The Secret of the Haunted Mansion and The Tarot’s Misfortune.

I enjoyed the first 2, Mystery Seekers was strange and The Tarot was OK but short. I would have been disappointed if I'd had to buy it.

Today I finished Natalie Brooks: The Treasures of the Lost Kingdom and Natalie Brooks: Mystery at Hillcrest High. I had started the Lost Kingdom one yesterday. really enjoyed them. I tried the first of that series but it got to the same point on 2 profiles I created and crashed both times and when you went back in there was no way to carry on. Look at the BFG forum for the game and it seems many people had that problem. Shame as it was good too.
