Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finished Margrave: The Blacksmith's Daughter.  I  this game.  It was so peaceful and pleasant to play.  It had much imagination like the automata crossing over the bridge or your helpful companion cyclop seer Rudo.  I had the SE and I was still able to find the strawberries.  I found 57 out of 60.   I wish I had the CE though just for the wallpaper alone.

I started on Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse and even though I played this before I don't remember much about it.

I am playing The Others and it is a great game imo.  I'm really enjoying it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Since I last posted I've finished Sacred Almanac: Traces of Greed, Whispered Legends: Tales of Middleport and Black Rainbow. All 3 were jolly good games. Two of them were pure adventure which I like and the middle one almost was.

I looked up The Others on GH, Oscar, and they do have it but I couldn't get it to play, it said offline. I had that happen in another game and the next day it worked fine! While looking for that I found a couple more with the word other in the title so I started The Other Side: Tower of Souls. Not got far as it was getting late but it's going to be great fun.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I used my PCC Monday and got Fantasy Mosaics 14: Fourth Color.  Finished it two days ago.  It will probably be the only game I finish this month because I'll be playing the special events in the free-to-play games.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I thought I had the CE of Blacksmith's Daughter but I only have the SE from BFG.  GH has the CE.  I thought I had wallpaper from this game, a scene with a creek in the foreground with a footbridge and a cottage on the other side.   I remembered I really liked the game and when it started... I had forgotten about that song.  I always, always, always let the song play at least once before I started the game, I love that song.  I want to start replaying it now but I will save it until I'm on the road and I can play the song over and over without bugging hubby.  Maybe I'll replay Dying For Daylight while I'm at it.
I finished the M3 I was playing, Secrets of Magic The Book of Spells.   Did almost all in the limited moves mode, I only bought extra moves or switched over to relaxed for a couple boards (you could even switch in the middle of a board), there were a few with some pretty big obstacles.  It's a 'move the spell ingredient off the bottom' type game, plus other goals.  Maybe breaking all the crates or all the rocks or clearing all the spiderwebs or multiplying blocks.  Maybe also match so many of these types.  You really had to take a good look at what your goals were, it was easy to get sidetracked.  The powerups are very slow charging, if you use them pretty quickly they'll recharge by the end of the moves so you'll get another use, if you wait a bit for a strategic moment, you only get one use.  The later levels had 3 spiders throwing webs down on the board, I could burn one right away and another towards the end, but there was always a guy there throwing webs; grr.  It had a quick, easy reset, though, so if the board wasn't going somewhere promising pretty quickly, I'd just reset it.   A nice feature was that moving the bonus's you got for matching 4 or 5 didn't count as a move, and neither did using your powerups, so if you were running out of moves you could just use your whole arsonal and hope you got a good cascade. There were 100 levels but you had enough money for all the powerups before level 50, so no compelling reason to go on, but I was liking the game.  I'd rate it 4 stars, it should have included a timed mode in addition to the limited moves mode (how hard could that be to code?),  it should have taken longer to get all the powerups (It felt a little 'game over' when I got the last powerup so early in the game.),  and there was some other minor gripe I had that I can't remember anymore.  (I remember now, you received 1, 2, or 3 stars but I had no idea whatsoever how they were awarded so I don't know what to strive for if I replay.)  I really liked the game,  I'll consider getting it for my free game, but it irritates me a little that it so easily could have been a 5 star game.  I mean really, it can't take much work to allow for relaxed, timed, or limited moves.  A couple of lines of code.   Every single game of this type should have those options.  I enjoyed the story, too, the characters were very likeable and one of them was Aunt Wendy... a good witch of course.  But now that I've written this long review of it, I'm going to raise my rating to ... almost 5 stars, lol.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I have finished:
Fantasy Mosaics 14.  It was fun with the  fourth color!
Cold Case Summer - A Carol Reed Mystery.  Cool! I like the Carol Reed Mysteries, but I always get lost in her allotment  or in a house and have trouble getting out . This one isn´t available at BFG, I bought it from the dev (who BTW is Swedish), I actually forgotten that I´ve bought it and found it "by  mistake", and started downloading and playing right away.
Final Cut: True Escapade CE. Very good.  I liked the Puzzles! This was much better than Fade to Black.

I´m playing Rainbow Mosaics- Treasure Trip and Mosaics Galore 2, both are very fun, but I need to play a HOPA soon...

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I finished The Others Friday and thought it was very good.   I skipped the one puzzle with the frogs, changing them all to gold.  It just wasn't coming together for me pattern wise.  So if anyone needs any hints while it's still fresh in my mind fire away.
