Great, Wendy, hope it doesn't crash again on either computer! Yep, dex Shadow Lake, wish I had now!
In the last 3 days I've played Dark Arcana: The Carnival PE, Queen’s Quest: Tower of Darkness and Women’s Murder Club: Little Black Lies. Enjoyed all of them. I'd not played any Women's Murder Club before and liked it. Downloaded the others ready for another day.

I started Haunted Hotel Phoenix last night. I'm a little disappointed my detective friend is not in it. Now I'm worried that I've played them out of order and he's died. I think it is a new dev but I could be wrong. shrug
I just finished Haunted Hotel: Death Sentence Collector's Edition. James doesn't appear in the bonus chapter, the character you play makes some sort of remark about him needing to rest after his ordeal. However, after you finish the bonus chapter, you can view an alternate ending to the main game, and in that James dies in the fire. I wish the bonus chapter would have clarified things and explained whether James was guilty of the crime he was accused of.
I wonder if Elephant Games dropped James because looked too much like Dupin and ERS complained? Pity he seems to be gone from the series because Brad Ziffer has a very nice voice.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the game. Much of the storyline has been 'borrowed' from Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. I prefer the bad guys in detective games to be ordinary people rather than ghosts or goblins or spirits that have been accidentally released from their graves.

I agree about detective stories not having any supernatural villains.

I have finished Lost Island- Eternal Storm. It was very good and loong
Nice graphics and music. Mainly a HO but with some puzzles .
It was designed as a FTP, but they changed their mind, and I called it finished because there are no more quests.
I have been playing a lot of Sir Match-a-Lot and finished the first world (with 339 levels).
I´m currently playing Nonograms-Wolf's Stories, Gardens Inc 4 PE and Cadenza-Kiss of Death CE.

Bonus Punch Monday. I have a CE coupon to use, that will get me to 5 punches, towards the end of the month I'll rejoin and use a PCC to finish a card. I want Royal Trouble 2 as my SE, if anyone hasn't played the first one yet I highly recommend it.

I finished Origins: Elders of Time PE this morning. Really, really enjoyed it and it was pretty long.
Thanks for mentioning Lost Island: Eternal Storm, Anki. I've started it and love it. Nice to have a F2P style game and not have to wait for energy or whatever. I might get it with my credit as there's a lot of mileage in it.

I've finished 345 of the 545 levels/boards/puzzles/whatever in Clutter V: Welcome to Clutterville and I've decided to call the game done.
That leaves Mystery Mosaics as the only 'challenge' game I haven't completed, and I only have 4 more levels to go. The nonogram part of the game wasn't that difficult, but the puzzles that are a cross between nonograms and minesweep are very hard when you get to the last 30 or so. I thought this game was tougher than the first one (Mystery Riddles).
I'm going to play European Mystery: Flowers of Death Collector's Edition next.

I have 349/545 done in CLUTTER V. I've got one slider and 2 or 3 other pictures that I'd like to get done.

That's funny you two are so close together in Clutter. I tried it a little while ago, don't really know if I like it or not. Not something I could play for a long period. It's surprisingly hard.
I got a Mad Head Game Advent Beyond Light, something like that. I finally had to break down and play a level untimed in Imperial Island. I spent hours yesterday and after an hour tonight I said the heck with it, and even then it has multiplying octupi so you can still lose the level, but I finally managed to do it.

For me CLUTTER is a "play one or two puzzles" at a time game.
