Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I have finished Maze:Subject 360 CE. It was rather good, not fantastic. It was annoying to not have a SG.
As Wendy predicted I got a CE coupon instead of help. And a little reminder about trying the game before buying   It was  after the update the SG disappeared!!!

We are having loads of snow now, about 3dm! it took me 15 minutes to dig the car out

Anki -- Even when you get a "real person" in CS the first email from them may be more or less "cut and paste" answers.  On the bright side you played the game and now you can buy another CE!

Is 3dm 30 cms? That IS a lot of snow!  We had a paralyzing storm here a few weeks ago.  We got 55 cms in less than 12 hours.  At times it was snowing at the rate of 8 cms an hour.  Fortunately I could (and did) stay home.

Since I last posted I played Demon Hunter 1 and 2 Pretty enjoyable.

Also played 50 levels of Imperial Island 3, enjoying it. Where did yours crash, Wendy?

I had to laugh playing Last Dream.  Futsing around with that sign puzzle do di do.  Finally see the signs for what they were and then laughed out loud remembering all of you talking and realizing this was the puzzle.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

I just finished Fantasy Mosaics 13: Unexpected Visitor.  That was the 400th game I finished since I started tracking them on Jan 1, 2012.

Next I'm going to play Haunted Hotel: Ancient Bane Collector's Edition.

I've been playing Magic Haven all afternoon, after having to drag myself away from it last night to go to bed.  I LOVE it!  It's definitely DIFFERENT with different things you have to do.  I love the graphics but the boards end up very big with tiny little squares and icons.  They may start with just a few squares but, as you open the locks, they blow out into large boards.  And sometimes the boards are filled with bright candy pink and reds and you need your sunglasses so that you can see the boards!

Some levels are quite easy and only take maybe 5 mins to complete.  Others have so many things you have to do - like open locks, match feathers within 2 squares of the cloud-covered squares that have lightening to clear the storms, match keys to get rid of the monsters (2 different types so far), matching buckets of water so that their water falls down and puts out one fire each in the column below (my fav levels as it takes forever to get the buckets where you want them to put the fires out), etc. etc. etc. - that they take forever!

Wow stusue, Magic Haven sounds amazing. Thank you for the detailed description, you really sold me on it! Looks like it's only available through GH now? I'm thinking of trying a Funpass soon(ish), and I'll definitely try that one early on.

Wow 400 games, that's impressive!

I more or less finished Clutter II: He Said, She Said (though I might go back and play some more of the mini games). There's something so amateurish about the production values of the Clutter games I've played, but I like them anyway because the gameplay is such a different take on the HO genre. I really admire a game that can bring something new.

I checked out the first game years ago and was really disappointed that unsolicited hints couldn't be turned off, so I never bought it. Really glad the later games don't have them.

I know some people here have been playing the new one. I'll probably keep going in order and play Clutter IV at some point, but will definitely try Clutter V eventually.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2016

Magic Haven is on my maybe buy with a credit list at GH.  I have 2 credits expiring this month (they're still giving me double credits) but I also had an expiring  reward coupon for filling a card, which can be used  for anything, so I found a "My Kingdom for the Princess" bundle pack with 4 games that I used it on, and I will use 2 credits for Garden Inc. 4 CE.  I have all the other Garden Inc. games, with the CEs from GH, but I've never even played one!  Isn't that crazy? They get glowing reviews, though, so I'm sure I will like them.
I don't know where I crashed on Imperial Island, it doesn't say the level, I'm going into a scene where I have to search.  I remember I was stuck on level 31 for quite awhile so it's after that, and I had a triple hammer, I think.  I was liking the game so much that I used a PCC for it at BFG but it still used my GH saved data, started me at the same spot and crashed again, on my laptop and desktop, but the desktop had a different error.  I restarted the BFG version on both machines with a new profile, I figure if it crashes with BFG I'll get a CE coupon out of it, lol.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.
