Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

AWESOME was so right!  I could barely breath, I was scared, I was watching it sitting on the edge of the couch...a few times I would be able sit back and relax.   What a episode.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

I know!  I had to rewind and watch that opening scene with the motorcycle gang, it was stellar!  It just was such a wild ride.  I think Glen is down to about 5 lives now. I mean yea how did he avoid a bullet but hey it's tv and we don't want anything to happen to the Atlanta 5!  OMG on Carl.  And you just knew Sam was a goner from the first moment he appeared on scene.  The effects and walker make up were just phenomenal.  And the play out of stories. I just can't say enough about this.

Plus I have got to say the ads for FTWD look pretty darn good.  Even the mini on the airplane is getting ack!!

Did anyone watch Survivor yesterday?

Ooo and Vikings is starting tonight.  There's a series for you to dl Wendy.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

I know!  Just 6 minutes in the episode my jaw just dropped. I was so shocked,  I didn't see that coming.  I really didn't.  Yeah, I knew Sam was going to be a problem at the end of season 6 A.  When they were in that chain and he kept saying mom over and over again.  Jessie should have followed her instinct about Sam and made him go with Gabriel .  Ron, was just bidding his time.  Carl thought he was winning him over, but I didn't think so.  When Carl turned around and said dad my heart was literally in my throat. I made some weird gasping noise when I saw. Oh No! Not Carl!  Of course I say that about all the original Atlanta 5.   Glenn, I was just thinking that he just got caught back up with Maggie and now he is going to a goner.

You watch the Talking Dead?  They had Carrie Underwood on.  There was a question where she was asked if she would survived the zombie apocalypse  this far or something.  First the audience gave her low numbers saying no she wouldn't make it and then Carrie got to plead her case saying that she most identified with Maggie saying that she grew up as a farm girl too and her numbers kept getting  higher and higher.   The wolf also was on and had a heavy Australian accent.  I wouldn't have guessed it with the way he spoke on the show.  I think the wolf had a infatuation with the lady doctor.  His behavior was inconsistent.

Oops, forgot to add that we will be taping the Vikings too.   I like Ragnar, but  I find that Floki a fascinating character to watch.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

oscar -- I watched SURVIVOR.  They're recapping 3 teams -- brains, brawn and beauty.  Al new players.  The ads prior to the 1st episode make me think there will be a lot of people dropping out due to medical.  Last night's was bad enough!

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

Lily - I know to the ear worm.  And boy the woman who thinks she is a mental giant tried to write with the cap on the pen lol.  Really don't get the elimination process last night.  Shaking my head.

Sun Yes I love TD and Chris.  Benedict Samuel, the Wolf struck me as a bit odd.  First I'll say he didn't sound Australian at all to me and second They all looked uncomfortable together on the couch.  Greg is usually so relaxed.  You could tell Carrie is a fan.

Ya Sam mom mom.  I said to my niece even Judith knows better!  And I think Ron had snapped.  Speaking of snapped....

I think Floki has totally lost it.  He is bizarrely intriguing and one of my favourites.  Did you know that the actor is a Skarsgard brother? I think most of them are slightly mad, absolutely delicious characters and I'm very proud that it is a Canadian production. The main two ladies up until Siggy's demise are both Canadians. I love Laegertha and hope that guy doesn't get the best of her.  The king is great too.  That whole thing is going to catch up with him if Ragnar gets well.  I thought he was toast.  I just finished season 3 a few weeks ago and those Paris attacks were some tense moments.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

I remember watching those Paris attacks...very intense.  Regarding Laegertha it seems strange to see her with other men.  I still picture her as Ragnar's wife.  I looked up to see the rest of the Skarsgard brothers.  I have watched Bill Skarsgard before in Hemlock Grove.

Forgot to mention earlier...we fast forward through the ads while watching TWD.  So, I didn't see the new ads for  FTWD.  Is it coming out soon?

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

Yes, in April, probably right after TWD insert tears finishes.  The ads show them out on that ship.  And a raft full of people.  Someone was speculating that maybe the plane goes down there.  If you don't watch the commercials you can go on AMC and see all the little chapters to the airplane sequence.  They're only a couple of minutes long.

And yes I think of her as Ragnars wife as well.  I can't wait to see what Rollo gets up to.  He has such a love/hate relationship with Ragnar.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

Thanks Oscar,  I will check out AMC to watch the trailers for FTWD.  Not quite pumped about the show yet, but willing to give it a chance.  I think it might help if I finally learn their names.

Re: Whatcha watching on TV?

So many series, just like so many games.  I just got Netflix a little after my son moved in and have not watched much.  We did catch up on Scandal and started watching Breaking Bad but didn't keep up with it.  I never watched Grey's Anatomy faithfully so that is one I would like to start from the beginning.  TWD probably will not be for me since I don't care for vampires, zombies, etc but my youngest son and my hairdresser both love it.  I restarted Downtown Abbey (Amazon Prime) as I didn't get far the first time I tried to watch it.  All these series will be good to watch while I x-stitch away.
