So I was just a few minutes away from finishing Mystery Heritage-Sign of the Spirit CE and my computer decided it wanted to die & the whole game shut down and when I reopened it, all my data was corrupted and I had to start over so I quit! UGH talk about annoying!
Up next is Haunted Legends-The Dark Wishes CE. I usually like this series even though the extras are always lacking in ERS games IMO. Way back when, I did like the queen of hearts but I think it would bug me a lot now to have so many hidden objects scenes and no map. That's the problem with the new games. Everything is so shiny and new and some of the ones I still need to play are older and I saved them because I wanted to really enjoy them but now I find them hard to play. Sigh.

Hi everyone, it's been a real long time since I've posted here, and I haven't been playing games much at all. Just recently I have started having a little more time for games, and I remembered this forum and wondered how everyone was doing and what you all are playing. I skimmed through this whole 2016 thread and noted a bunch of recommendations!
There are only 3(!) games I've finished since early last year (although there are others I started and didn't finish):
Clutter III: Who Is the Void - I liked this a lot. These games have such a different feel from most other games, and I love that. I'm glad to see there's a new Clutter game out and people seem to be enjoying it. I'll definitely be checking it out eventually but first I'm going back to Clutter II, which I started sometime last year but never finished.
Hello Venice 2: New York Adventure
Heroes From the Past: Joan of Arc
One of the reasons I like to play M3s and other games that don't have a lot of reading and heavy puzzles is that I can play them kind of mindlessly while doing other things like listening to podcasts or half watching something. That's how I played both of these fairly generic M3 games. They were both fun but nothing special.
The other reason I sped through to finish both Hello Venice and Joan of Arc is that I decided to let my yearly Shockwave Unlimited membership expire. They've never had an awesome selection, but they are cheaper than other all-you-can-play subscriptions and I've been a member off-and-on for several years. Lately though, it seems like they don't have more and more of the games I check for.
I may resubscribe someday or I may check out Gamehouse Funpass at some point. But for now I'm going to try to get through some of the many games I've bought from BFG and other places and try out all the many many trials I've got in my downloads folder.
It's nice to have a little more time to play some games and to check in here!

welcome back jen! I too had been gone quite awhile and hadn't been playing many games either but recently have been trying to get through some! My computer needs the room too!
As stated, I tried to play Haunted Legends- The Dark Wishes CE and I hated it! Not only did it run slow but the plot was weird and it was about the philosopher's stone and I am sooo sick of that thing. It seems every developer tries to make a game out of it sometime or another. The hidden object scenes were only interactive in the first part for example you had to find objects to put into the section where the items are listed to open up more items to find. I had to do this hidden object twice and found it totally lazy that the same objects opened the list again!
However the puzzles weren't bad since there was a casual & hard option. The hard option wasn't as hard as I would have liked but at least it wasn't like some of the one move and done like in other games. I usually like this series so I am a bit disappointed. ERS games are not my favorite but from time to time do entertain me.
I am currently waiting for my oven to finish self cleaning. Had I known this would be such a stinky affair, I would have done it during the day and gone out. I don't think anyone has ever used this feature before because I have never smelled anything so nasty. Its the first time we have used it since moving in last march. Usually I just hand clean it but I wanted to be thorough. Definitely warned for next time around. YUCK!

Hi Jen It's nice to see you again. Glad you got more time for game playing now. Do check back in.
Meg...Have fun on your trip. Sounds like fun and a nice way to celebrate a birthday and make some memories. The stove cleaning must be over by now so I hope the air smells clean again for you both.
I am playing the second Haunted Legends...The Bronze Horseman. It is just like the first one The Queen of Spades with no hint button except in the HO scenes and there are plenty of HO scenes. It was slow going at first, but this morning I woke up at 5AM and starting playing and the next thing I knew it was 6:30am.
Meg...Eventually I will make it up to Haunted Legends: Dark Wishes #6 on the list. Just trying to play them in order. Like you I saved some games to savor them in the future and now that the future is here, I am finding these games from 2011 to be much different than the newer ones out.

Hi all. Yesterday and This morning I played True Fear: Forsaken Souls PE. I can't say as I liked it even though it has great reviews. My achievements didn't work properly. Said I'd done them all but most weren't done at all even though they should have registered.
After that I started House of a 1,000 Doors: Family Secrets and I'm LOVING it.
Meg, the trip sounds great.
Nice to meet you, Jen

and welcome back jen! I love CLUTTER too. Especially since you can play (most of) it untimed. I'm playing CLUTTER V, which has 545 separate puzzles. There's a new game -- Sliders & Jigsaws -- that will come to BFG after Joe has it on his site for a while. And there will be a CLUTTER VI.
meg -- Enjoy your birthday trip! I love CODE BLACK too. I checked a thread on another site that gives ratings for shows and tells which have been renewed. The only CBS show that had been renewed (as of Feb 9) was THE BIG BANG THEORY. The ratings for CODE BLACK weren't great, but there might still be a renewal. I hope so!

Hi, Jen. I'm not real keen on Clutter, I've played a little with Funpass. I do like those slider pictures, though.
Fudge, sorry you didn't like True Fear, I loved it. I bought the SE from BFG but I'm going to replay the PE now it's at GH.
I just finished The Mystery of a Lost Planet. It was alright, I had to skip the last puzzle, it was one of those that you have to figure out which elements to combine to make the icon (volcano, tornado, etc.) but you couldn't tell which element was which or even what they were, and you could only figure out a few of the icons you had to create.

Where did this month go? I just let a PCC expire yesterday, I wrote to CS, hopefully they'll give me another one. I don't even care that much if they don't, I have so many games I have a hard time choosing any to buy. GH is still giving me double credits, I usually get TMs or M3s with them. They just released a Thanksgiving mosaic game, I'll probably get that because I don't have anything for Halloween except for a Fishdom game, and I only have Patchworks for a mosaic game. They make me laugh, no way in hell I'll ever get the star for quickness, I always take at least twice as long as the time they give and sometimes my finger slips so I lose the star for not making mistakes, too. I like to go slow and enjoy the picture. Are there any St. Patrick Day games? I have The Fool for April 1st, I like that game alright.

First Hi Jen, nice to see you.
I just finished Lost Lands the Golden Curse CE. I loved this game and it is certainly a lot of bang for your buck. I probably got a good 7 hours of play out of it and one of the bonuses was a game with 24 boards of that connect the colours. They added bridges and tunnels and it was a lot of fun. I like these anyways. It had some interesting little games in it. varying from easy to medium. Tons to do, morphs to collect along with items for the Druid. Good story as well. lol I was always taken aback when the characters would say Susan! do so and so. I'd be thinking my mother was here or something. To those who haven't played this Enjoy!

I loved that game too, Oscar Only played the SE so I must remember to see if GH has it so I can play the CE.
I finished both House of 1,000 Door games and really loved both.
Now I've started Kronville: Stolen Dreams. It has mixed reviews but I'm really, really LOVING it. Alawar are my new favourite Devs!
ETA: Yes, GH does have that Lost Lands one. Yippee! Downloading it now ready for another day
