Re: The Chat Lounge

I can semi-relate to all the partially finished projects.  I have a sweater that is probably 2/3 done.  I really like it and it would go with some skirts and slacks that I have.  It's been years since I started it.  It's a 3 needle sweater.  I think that's why I do a couple of rows and it gets put away for (literally) years.

WOW! What talent! I couldn't do anything like that. You must finish that window!

Thanks Fudgechi...After taking it out and looking at it, I felt more determination to finish it.  So hopefully sometime this year the next time I post it, it will be the completed project.

Re: The Chat Lounge

Cross stitch makes my eyes cross, lol.  I'm not a mistress of the womanly arts, I'm afraid.
Hubby worked Sat. night.  He's only had 3 or 4 days since Xmas but they told him they start going pretty much full time in March, starting next Wednesday.  Thank God cause we're getting pretty short tempered with him being around all the time.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: The Chat Lounge

Sorry, another roommate mini-rant, actually more of an eye roll.  She drove us all crazy because she wants her son in daycare but she has to have a job to qualify for the free daycare.  She had just started a job at a convenience store when I got here, and after being late and not showing up for a shift they finally fired her for stealing a Gatorade at work.  Then she had a Dec. job for Xmas season.  Missed a few shifts there, as well, but it was only the one month so it probably wasn't worth the effort to fire her, she just got less hours as it got closer to Xmas.   Last week she started a 9-1 job at the daycare as a kitchen aide.  You can imagine my glee, since it involves her doing dishes, lol.  Anyway, she filled out the final paperwork last Monday and started last Tuesday.    One week ago.  She was 1/2 hr. late one day and today she stayed home from work.   It's a shame because work seems to be good for her, she's come home and done dishes twice and even cooked once, she suffers from depression and I think the getting out and working is giving her some energy and motivation.  I sure hope she doesn't mess this job up, too.

I hope she doesn't mess this job up too, Wendy. It could be the turn-around she needs. Does she take anything for her depression? I hope so.

Yes, of course, I'll show you.  Going to take awhile though.     One thing about cross stitch is that it is time consuming.

Sorry, it took so long to get back to you.  I have been sick, sick, sick.     I am feeling better now though.  It must be all this changeable weather we have been having.   One day it was warm enough to open the windows and the next day is bone chilly.

Re: The Chat Lounge

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick but pleased you feel better now.

I don't know where you are but here in the UK the weather is the same as you. You don't know where you are from one day to the next.
