Wendy, my Grandaughter was 1 yesterday. Her Mum is really lax and I have to bite my tongue SO hard not to say anything. It's hard.
teeitup, take it easy...easier said then done I know! Hope you make a full recovery.

Hi Tee! Damn I wish I'd known you needed a floor stand I would have mailed you one. I just broke one down to get rid of. I have two that my dad made, hand tole painted by my mom.
Glad to hear you're coming along from the surgery. I've gone thru all my stitch kits and I'm going to try selling a bunch of them that I haven't opened. I have more than I can ever finish.

Thanks, guys. Guess I was feeling better than I thought I would and just started acting like I normally do but am going to take it easier and not reach so much.
oscar, that's good that your dad made them for you and your mom personalized them. I did a lot of research and checking You Tube videos and decided to get a Lowery stand which is made in the UK. It was cheaper to order it over there and pay more for shipping than it was to get in the US. I ordered it on a Sunday night and had it by that Friday and am happy with it. It's a side model so doesn't interfere with tv watching.
That's what I did this morning was go through all my stash to see how much stuff I had and some of it I've had since 2000 plus stuff my mom had. I'm set for life with WIP's, threads and new stuff. I'm a member of a group on FB called Stash Unload and that's what people do ~ post stuff they want to get rid of. I've seen old issues of X-stitch magazines, leaflets, kits, threads, etc. I may start posting some of my old magazines that go back to the late 80's cause I'll never look through them all again. I came across an heirloom Xmas stocking pattern that I want to do for my GD that I had already pulled and a couple of other patterns I liked and they're all kitted and ready to start. I would offer to buy some of your stuff but I think I'm pretty well set.

teeitup...Glad you are feeling better after your surgery.
Cross stitch supplies and patterns sure do accumulate over the years. I am doing a Christmas stocking right now. Not cross stitch and not a heirloom pattern. It is going to be made out of plastic canvas. I'll show a pic of my progress soon. I just started it after Christmas so not much progress as of yet and I was held up waiting for dark red yarn.

Oscar...I don't know if you can get London's Best Rock where you live, but when the wind is blowing just right it comes in beautifully here. I love so many Canadian artist now and the US won't play their music. Also, they play so many songs that the radio station here doesn't. I am finding so many songs that are just blowing me away. I came across this old song that I just heard recently on their station. It is quickly becoming my favorite song. I have been playing it over & over. The video is a typical 90's MTV video. The song itself and the words are like I said blowing me away.

Sun - it doesn't come in where I live but it is the station I tune in to as I get closer to my parents place which is East of London. I look forward to seeing your project. I have so many partial done things I should pick up and finish. lol a friend of mine keeps asking about the baby blanket I started for her child. hanging my head in shame, she is 16 now. It has been 1/10th away from finished for many many years. Just some outline to do! Not sure what my problem was there.
I think I will have to join that stash unload on FB Tee and see what people might be interested in. Is it a public group or invite only?

oscar, it's a closed group but you just click that you want to join and I think they have an admin that approves. I think it was only a few hours before I was approved so no problems there.
oscar, I can relate on the partial projects. I started a beautiful wedding sampler for my youngest son and it's only 1/4 done and they will have been married 19 yrs. in Aug. Thought I would try to finish it and give it to them on their 25th anniversary. Also have a birth sampler almost finished for my GS and he just turned 13. I also found a darling Xmas tree skirt that's 3/4 done and a carousel which is done in linen and beautiful. I was going to do it for one of my HS BFF's that loves carousel horses but after working on it for a while decided after we had a bit of a spat, I was gonna keep it. Everything's good and has been for years but she never knew I was working on it. That's why I decided to start up again because I have a "Friendship" sampler that I was working on for another friend and she has had some health issues (COPD and macular degeneration) and I wanted to be able to give it to her for her birthday in Aug. I love my hobbies and there's just not enough time to do them all justice but so glad I'm retired now because it's just a matter of scheduling everything in on a daily basis. May try to find some pics of some of my completed projects and post them.

Here is a picture of the Christmas stocking I am doing. My progress and what the finished product looks like.

I think with cross stitch is that you get bored doing it and put it away for awhile and don't bring it back out because something new came along. I have been working on this piece for years. I was going to put it in my kitchen when done. So close and yet so far. Just need to finish the window, put a phrase in the frame and just do the outlining and then I can be done.

WOW! What talent! I couldn't do anything like that. You must finish that window!
