I'm finding myself so tired at night that I can barely keep my eyes open and I'm not getting anything played! I had to get up at 6 the other day and it has thrown me off. I don't sleep well some nights and hate using an alarm clock, but I had an appt aargh and I have to get up at 6 Monday and Tuesday too , blah. Eddie is going in for his snip snip Tuesday morning and then I'm off to visit my parents for a few hours. Probably for less time than it will take me to drive there and back! But I want to get another visit in before the snow flies.

All my MCFs are SEs. They never seemed to have much bonus content, except maybe 13 Skulls.
I remember being proud of myself for being able to find my way around in Final Cut, lol. I was enjoying the game so much that I didn't mind all the walking.
My sleep schedule is always random. I might be up until 3am one night, zonked out at 9pm on another, I just never know.
I started the "Bridge to another World" game. I think it was Lily who liked it so much. It's so-so for me so far but I'm still towards the beginning. The inventory use is a bit hard, they don't tell you much in the black bar tips so you really have to look at the zoom zone to figure out what you need. You have to collect painting pieces and then put them together, so far everyone has been put together in a different way and they're getting tougher every time. I skipped one cause I knew it would take me forever and a day.

I have 2 CE coupons I need to use by end of year. Does anyone have any suggestions on what games would be best to use them on? I'm holding onto one for True Fear 2 if it comes out before end of year. I just got the SE of Nevertales Legends, I'm considering upgrading that one if nothing better comes out. There's always Christmas Stories. What CEs had the most bang for their buck?

Wendy, I just played Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life CE by ERS. And wow, did I love it!
The main game for me was 5 hours and the bonus game 3 hours! It only took gobaba 3 hours for the MG and 1 for the BG but I don't know how. Although I didn't use the SG (except a few times to check if there was a morphing object in a scene if I'd been looking for a while as they aren't in all of them - which I think is great as it ups the difficulty), never used the jump map, didn't use the hint once (even to move around), didn't skip a single puzzle and played them all on Hard (and some of them were head scratchers!), and I don't rush. But still...
These are the Extras:
Bonus chapter
Replay minigames
Replay HOPs (you can find any cats you missed, which you need for a M2 game)
Play a bonus HOP
Play an endless HOS (with over 100 objects that keep moving - they're floating)
Recipes (1 for each cake you eat - they're all real cake recipes and are shown in pictograms)
Art - wallpapers, concept art (you can save them), photos
Movies
Facts (random facts from the Haunted Legends games)
Music
Bonus Puzzle (an endless bubble popper game like Luxor that you play in the game)
Test (questions from past Haunted Legends games)
Match-Cat (an M2 game if you collect all the cat points in the game - cats in the HOPs)
Screen Saver
Collectibles -
Cats (in HOPs - some very hard to spot! - sometimes need to interact several times)
Morphing Objects (not in all scenes - witchcraft symbols - some very, very hard to spot!)
Cakes (you have to eat all 7 cakes you come across to get all 7 cake recipes)
Symbols (ones in MG also in SE as used in the game - also in BG but you can't see them after)
Achievements (24 - some you have to do extra stuff to get, which I didn't always do, like tell the truth)
Choices - you have some moral choices in the game that are supposed to change the outcome of the game. I didn't notice that but you do miss out on achievements. Other choices may mean that that person doesn't give you something, but you'll pick it up somewhere else later. Also, if you don't use things in one scene you get to use them somewhere else later on. You can also pick up 2 extra keys in the hotel that aren't yours but you can't use them there - if you do pick them up (but you don't have to) you get to use them near the end of the game. The choices are listed at the back of the SG with their consequences. However, I'm not sure what the last choice means if you choose the one that I didn't choose right at the end of the bonus game.
Credits - for the first time ever I noticed that BFG and the BFG workers aren't listed separately (whether at the beginning or end) and are just lumped in with all the ERS people under the ERS credits. I thought that was odd. BFG is just mentioned right at the end with their logo and copyright stuff.
Achievements - I missed out on 5 achievements (although I earned one that I didn't get). One was for telling the truth (I lied to a father about his daughter so as not to cause him any distress), one was for smothering 5 magic fires (you only need to smother 1 in the game so you have to go out of your way to smother the others - somewhere...), one was for finding every hidden cat in the HOPs (I missed one but got it and the achievement in the replayable HOPs in the Extras), and one for watering the dead flowers (which I think were right at the beginning but I'm not sure how I could have watered them as I only had one glass of water and used that in the game - maybe you have to water them before you use the water elsewhere - although that's one of the choices consequences - if you don't use the water early then you get to use it somewhere else)
LOL moments - there are a couple of LOL moments when you come across a diary and it talks to you, the player, referring to you as "Dearest player". I won't spoil it for you by telling you what it says.
Difficulty - I actually found this challenging, bucking the current trend of making all the games SO easy! The puzzles were actually thinking ones, and some of them took a lot of thought, especially in the bonus game, and especially if you played the Hard version of them, which I did. You also have the choice of turning off the BBTs to make it even harder (I kept them turned on).
Map - the first part of the map was given to you, gratis. From then on, whenever you went into a new section you came across pieces of the map and you played a little jigsaw puzzle to put them back together, having to turn the pieces. And, surprisingly, they weren't easy peasy!
Morphing Objects - not in every scene and some of those were really hard to spot as they're things you'd never expect to morph and sometimes the morph is really subtle and maybe in the distance! They all have something to do with witchcraft and you're given info about each one (and can see them and re-read the info about them in the MO scene you create with the objects you find). None of the following examples are actual morphs in the game but just examples as I don't want to spoil any of them for you - some are objects (eg. a pumpkin), some are animals (eg. a giraffe), some are graffiti (eg. a pentagram), some are a parts of a building (eg. a door), some are parts of the landscape (eg. a lake), some are man-built objects (eg. an airport), some are plants (eg. roses). They're added to a scene with a little wooden house on bird legs (LOL) and you can hover your cursor over them to get info on them.
Bonus - To me, at 3 hours, it almost felt like a complete game in and of itself! It was the same quality as the main game, but I felt a bit more challenging, and you go into new areas. It was definitely NOT just an added few scenes to sell it as a CE. As a series prequel, it also leads into the very first Haunted Legends game, The Queen of Spades, and I had an ah ha moment. However, if you choose the alternative choice right at the end I'm not sure how your game would end. The SE ends conclusively but I think you'd miss out on an awful lot (both gameplay and info) if you don't get the CE. I think ERS put a lot of effort into this CE and it shows. They've upped their challenge and certainly upped their bonus content!
Recommendation - definitely the CE! But you'll get a satisfactory ending if you want to get the SE.

Wendy, I also demoed Lost Lands 3: The Golden Curse CE yesterday - loved it! - and I'll be getting it with a CS coupon I have if there's a BPM. I can't tell you anything about the game or bonus as I don't have the game yet, but I can tell you the bonus content:
Bonus Chapter
Wallpapers (you an choose to save all at once! I've never seen that before!)
Concept Art (once again, you can choose to save them all at once!)
Videos
Music (once again, you can save them all at once)
Replay minigames (25)
7 puzzles (if you get all the collectibles ????)
Collectibles:
22 of something (I couldn't tell from the little picture what they were)
14 things that fell out of your bag and down a cliff at the beginning (original!)
20 manuscript pages with lots of info
35 morphs
22 disks (I think ?)
? ? (you're not told what they are or how many there are !!!!)
24 figurines (you play a bonus game if you get them all - may be part of gameplay instead)
Achievements (some same, some different)
Bonus game (if you collect all 24 figurines)
Quiz
I thought the graphics and animation were amazing and I loved the gameplay (of the little I played), especially dropping your purse down a cliff right at the beginning and having to find everything throughout the game as one lot of 7 groups of collectibles. And, with all those collectibles???? It's a certain CE purchase for me.
I haven't yet played the second game in the series but the first one is in my top 3 games. It's also a one-touch game!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!

Thank you, Stusue. I went and looked at the reviews of the new Lost Lands and it sounds really good, with lots of CE extras, so I will probably use a coupon for it. I have the other two, I think I played the first one and liked it. I'm not that big on the "Haunted" series, but good to have as a back up if nothing better comes out.
I've been using my laptop since we don't have cable internet turned on yet, and I've kinda forgotten about my desktop. I need to set it up and then I think I can run a wire and get internet from my phone. I have a lot of extra data because the new phone plan comes with 10 free gigs that expire at the end of the year so I downloaded all the games I just bought in the BOGO and spaced out about the desktop so they're on my laptop. Would have preferred the desktop with the 24" screen. Once I get it going I can get to my old Midnight Castle game again, too.

stusue...Were you bothered with wide black bars in Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life? I d/l and played the demo and thought it was really good and want to get it, if I can get used to the smaller game picture.
Today for BPM I used a gift certificate which is nice that they give you 2 punches for using them today and got Off the Record: The Final Interview. I couldn't resist the game description of it. It sounded like a episode from the tv show Murder, She Wrote, that I just had to get it.
When a renowned English horse breeder is stricken with a sudden and life-threatening heart attack, all fingers are pointed at you as the attempted murderer, You were the last to speak to him before he fell ill, and his death could be a huge boost for your journalism career. The trouble is...you can't remember meeting the man or even coming to that town - a car accident has wiped part of your memory!
I also got with 2 pcc's Whispered Secrets: Golden Silence & Dark Realm: Princess of Ice

I picked up Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life CE for $5.72. It does grab you from the onset so I look forward to playing it. Sun, I barely noticed the bars on my screen.
I noticed you can't get any info on the affiliate site for upcoming sales anymore without registering for it.

Sun, I didn't have any black bars. The game filled my screen.
I have Windows 10 and a GTX850M NVIDIA graphics card.

Oscar, I know! Isn't that just the most annoying thing? They certainly don't look after us little people!
Okay, okay, so I'm not an affiliate, but what's that got to do with the price of fish????
I liked knowing what the upcoming sales were so that I could plan things!
Now we're all back to being in the dark like we were before.
I tried everything but to no avail. I even tried registering but, given that I couldn't tell them how I'd be selling their games, I gave up and admitted defeat.
I'll just have to go back to relying on places like Groupons, who sometimes get promotion codes early.
