Thank goodness it's 50% off retail, I won't be so tempted now!
Ok, what does everyone have lined up to play for Halloween month? I'm definitely break out Spooky Bonus and Gizmos Halloween game. I'm almost finished Universe again. I wonder if there is a new one in the works, it'd be a nice Xmas prezzie. I think I may follow Wendy's lead and play the Campfire games. I keep forgetting I have them in my GH folder.
I'm going to play Midnight Calling: Anabel Collector's Edition and Phantasmat: The Dread of Oakville Collector's Edition.

Oscar, the game is Elly Cooper and the City of Antiquity PE. It's by Sobai Games and is their first ever game. And, for a first attempt, it's really good. Very different to the CEs of late - it's actually challenging with really challenging puzzles! As I said, I had to ask the developers if I'd missed a final clue for one of the puzzles but no, even though I'd tried several different solutions and none of them had worked, I just hadn't tried the correct one! Very, very challenging.
It's also really long! There are achievements for 5 different categories - game play time, collectibles, HOSs without using hints, not skipping puzzles, and Yacht (Yahtzee in Australia) score - and there are 4 trophies for each one - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. I got the highest score in Yacht (but you can keep playing in the extras to get the platinum trophy), the ones for the HOSs and puzzles, missed out on the platinum trophy for the collectibles as I missed one lousy one on the ship as I was whisked away on a hot air balloon before I knew it and before I could go and find the last one (there are 55 to collect - which means 55 scenes - which means a very long game! - and when was the last time you saw a game with 55 scenes????), and missed out on ALL the trophies for game play time as the bronze trophy is for playing the game in 7 hours - and I went WAY over that! The HOSs are straight list but some of the items are VERY well hidden and some are MINUSCULE so they take forever. The puzzles are also, as I've said, CHALLENGING!, so they take ages as well. I was stuck on the last one for ages, trying as many combinations as I could (one where you have to use a ball to push 4 tiles over the 4 lights but boy was it hard!) until it finally clicked and I realised a move I hadn't even seen, then finished it in a few moves. Oops.
I'll give a proper review later but I'm not sure when BFG will get it. Every other gaming site seems to have already released it, GameHouse the latest, but it's a CE and there's no SG, only a walkthrough that's of no use whatsoever as it gives no solutions to the HOSs and MGs, and, as the extras don't work I'm not sure what extras there actually are, apart from the achievements, collectibles and replaying Yacht. I'm not even sure if there's a bonus chapter! I"m waiting on the developers getting back to me about that as Micah told me that there were some goodies in the extras that would be available once I'd finished the game. And he said that you could play the game in extras and be scored for each chapter, so I'm not sure what's going on. There's also a poster that I think could be a bonus chapter, and 3 pedestals that have something placed on them as you progress through the game, and they could be replayable HOSs and MGs but I'm not sure. I sure hope so as they were CHALLENGING!
It's also the only game I've wanted to replay straight away to pay more attention to the story as, with such challenging gameplay, HOSs and MGs, I kind of lost track of the story and had to re-read the journal a few times to remind myself of what was going on. I also want to find that pesky missing coin as they were HARD to find! Some were almost impossible to find as they were either TINY, or VERY WELL HIDDEN, or simply blended into the background. I love truly hard-to-find collectibles!
The few reviews I've seen weren't very complimentary as people said that it was too hard and they didn't know where they were supposed to be going or what they were supposed to be doing, and a few got stuck in Chapter 3 (maybe the same puzzle I got stuck on?). But one gave it 5/5 and said it was great because it was hard!

I think there's a BOGOF next Monday. I think it's only for 5 October and not the whole weekend as it asks that the affiliates don't promote before the 5th, whereas if it were for the entire weekend it would be do not promote before the 3rd.
LIMITED TIME OFFER – Buy 1 game, get the 2nd one for FREE! Coupon code Standard Versions: STANDARD – Coupon code Collector’s Editions: COLLECTOR. Offer expires 10/05/2014.
Please do not promote before October 5, 2015.
.
But how weird to just have a BOGOF on a Monday and not the entire weekend...
Maybe it's a typo but it's the same for both the German and French sites.
I just hope there's a BPM on Monday if there is a BOGOF but especially as I have a PCC that expires next week and I'd really like to get a punch for it.

I finished Bridge to Another World. The Others last night. It was a decent length and a pretty good game overall but had a lag time between scenes that was annoying. And a few puzzles when you got to them I think there was some sort of glitch because as soon as you clicked on it the puzzle was done!
Stusue that sounds like fun. And I am in need of something different.
Tirama I have those two games unplayed, I'm not sure if I have even picked up the Annabel one. So maybe I'll join you and play those as well.

Oscra - let me know if you have the Anabel game. I have some mop up work to do on the last Dance Macabre, need to finish replaying a couple of hidden object scenes for the achievement. I was planning to start Anabel tomorrow.
I realized that I also need to play two of the Dark Tales Edgar Allan Poe games, so maybe theu will also go on the hope to finish in October list.

I have finished Rite of Passage: The Lost Tides CE. It was OK, nothing special...
I realized that I have missed to play the third one Hide & Seek I hope that it's better.
I have finally finished Subliminal Realms: The Masterpiece CE.It was very loong and weird...
The Bonus game was more fun than the main game. The Extras was the usual, but you couldn't save the music! There was also replaying the puzzles. The collectibles were slides to form pictures that you should paint. I missed two, and there was no way of going back and get them, you had to replay the whole game...
I dexed Elly Cooper and the City of Antiquity PE. There were to many small objects and vague instructions, but the graphics were lovely. I`m not as smart as Stuesue I gave up in chapter three...
I have also finished Witches' Legacy: The Dark Throne CE. Very good as usual, I always like Elefun's games!
Lovely graphics and music. It's always fun to pick up the morphs and puzzlepieces. A very long Bonus game.CE worthy for me.
BTW Oscar, I really love the Zoo in Township

Tirama - I don't have it so I'll have to take a look at this week/ends sales and see about picking it up.
Anki - I love the Zoo too! I have the Bears, Flamingos and Zebras so far. I also have gotten out my Halloween decorations. I do wish they had come up with some more buildings for the town but for now I should just enjoy the fact that they have added such a great new element in the zoo!

I can wait. I'm still trying to get caught up with my free-to-play games. Getting ART ready for a restart took more time than I thought it would.
