Tirama -- You got me curious so I looked up my purchases for August.  I bought 26 games!  But they only cost me $13.60 (not counting the cost of GCCs).  And there were a number of CEs in there too.

Well, that explains why I could find 10 games to buy and there's nothing more that you want.

These are the CE's I bought:
Hidden Expedition: Dawn of Prosperity
Dead Reckoning: The Crescent Case
Phantasmat: The Dread of Oakville
Danse Macabre: Thin Ice
Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher
Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Mystery of Marie Roget
Dark Parables: Ballad of Rapunzel
Dark Parables: The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide
Dark Parables: Queen of Sands
Mystery Trackers: Winterpoint Tragedy

The last time I bought 10 games in 1 month was May 2014.

I finished teh final chapter of Danse Macabre: The Last Adagio Collector's Edition.  Hope to work on teh bonus chapter and other extras tonight.

Keeping an eye on tropical storm Erika.  And Tiffany isn't feeling well, so I don't know how much gaming will get done today.

That'll teach me to look up stuff/reply when I should be in bed.  The 26 games was for 2015, not just August.  I'll try and go back and see how many were CEs.  It won't happen today though, or maybe not even tomorrow.  Real Life got real busy again.

So sorry Tiffany isn't feeling well.  Stay safe.  I hope Erika misses you.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Fingers crossed for you T and I hope Tiffany is feeling better,

I wish I had only picked up 26!  I think it is more like 77.  And finished around 73.  I'm going to try to hold off until Christmas except for coupons and credits.  I'm not really sure what the sale is that is on right now.  Everytime I click on show me more it just takes me to todays game but show no details.   I think Stusue's post showed a BOGO coming up so I think I will get the new HE, I've got two credits.

Tirama, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for you and I certainly hope Tiffany is feeling better!

Oscar,  the current sale is - buy the new HE at full price and get as many CEs as you want for $4.99.  But, if you're only going to get 2 games, it's better to wait for next weekend's BOGOF.

And you don't want to know how games I've got this year!

But the worst thing is that I think I've only played maybe 5, if I'm lucky.  But at least half were freebies, so it's not that bad... is it?

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I definitely think I will wait.

I'm playing Rite of Passage "something" Tides.  It is imo painfully dull.  There isn't much of a challenge, you find things and they automatically fill in when you find where they are needed.  ie 6 pieces of mirror for a mosaic, auto fills when you get to it.  I am in the last chapter and I've been playing for less than two hours.  I was very surprised.  I was turning in for the night and looked in the SG to see what chapter I was on.  Colour me surprised that the game is almost over. On a postive there were a couple of fun puzzles.  I generally expect something with a little more oomph from Mad Head.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I have finished Dracula's Legacy. It was OK. No map and a lot of running back and forth. I pressed Hint a lot to know where to go this time. The ending seems like there's going to be a sequel.

I dexed Riddles of Egypt. No map there either, but it was a Strategy Guide. Sometimes when you looked in it, you didn´t understand what they meant.

I also dexed Detective Ross -Episode One- A PI in Paris. I looked at the ending on Youtube and found it ending with a cliffhanger. How disappointing!

Today I reloaded the very first Fairway, this is a fun one

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I played Whispers: Revelation.  It played like a adventure game, but had a lot of HO scenes in it.  It wasn't very intuitive on where you had to go next, so I wasn't afraid of using the hint button alot.  It had annoying sound effects like a creepy guys voice saying a few phrases over and over again at a frequently high rate.  If you turned it down you were also turning down the Voice Overs and those were really good.  You had to follow the story, because the story was the best part of the game.

I started on Awakening: The Redleaf Forest. It's not bad, I am enjoying it more than the last Awakening game I played.  For some reason I got the CE on this one.  You collect lilies and in the extras they have something called Garden.  I don't know what that's about yet.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

We received very little rain from Erika.  Tiffany is feeling much better.  She had stress induced colitus.  She's just too smart for her own good.  She's afraid of thunder, but has figured out that thunder is preceded by lightning, and when it rains there can be thinder and lightning, so she starts getting anxious whenever she sees or hears any one of the three elements.

Today is a bonus punch day.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I finished Danse Macabre: The Last Adagio Collector's Edition.  I didn't think it was that difficult, but I did skip some of the puzzles (there was an achievement for skipping).  No matter how much I try, I just can't get those puzzles where you turn one thing on, and some other go off, etc.  And I wasn't in the mood to do the old Tower of Hanoi puzzle, even though it was integrated perfectly into the game.

I liked how the achievements were displayed as trickets in a jewelry box.  The collectibles in each scene were yellow roses and they were displayed in the extras as a big bouquet. If your bouquet was missing any flowers, you could go back to that scene to find it.

As always, the credits were whacky.  This time they included photos of some of the emplyees wearing leotards, tights, and tutus.  And the making of film showed some of them dancing in their costumes.

I finished 6 games this month, plus replayed one.  Going to play Danse Macabre: Crimson Cabaret Collector's Edition next.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I've been playing Gunspell but it's, imo, a not very good copy of Puzzle Quest.  I'm to a stage where my storyline enemies are much too hard for me so I will have to scrounge around until my next level up and see if I can beat them then.  I finished Unfinished Tales Illicit Love main game and started the bonus.  I like the story in the bonus better than the main game.  Didn't care for the game much and won't ever replay it.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.
