Regarding online poker:

According to an article I found on wikipedia, on August 21, 2012, a federal judge in New York ruled that poker is not gambling under federal law because it is primarily a game of skill, not chance.

complete article can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_poker

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I have friends who gamble online and win "money" but it's in bitcoins.  I think they can exchange them for Amazon gift cards among other things.   BFG says they accept bitcoins.  They do mostly poker but they also gamble on dice rolls and other things that aren't skill based.
From what I read, the allure of BFG casino seems to be the social aspect for a lot of people.  I'm not much of a gambler but if I was, I'd play on the sites where I could at least win bitcoins/gift cards.
Playing Northern Tale 2.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

I love the Northern Tale games.

I finally finished a game!  VACATION ADVENTURES: CRUISE DIRECTOR 2.  I didn't particulary like the 1st one -- it was just too messy and off-putting.  I love the ones in the parks.  I wasn't going to get CD 2 but someone else said that that it gets better when you visit the ports.  I didn't think so.  Hugely jumbled HOGs (I was looking for a straight HOG) and improbably characters.  I really hope there will be more set in the parks.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Hi all

I´m back! My nearly new (only just over a year) laptop crashed in May. There where some problems with the insurance (the warranty was just over!) and we only got a small amount repayed.
Luckily I still had my old computer, but it was sloow. I t took over 5 minutes to get it started!
My saviour was Township on the Ipad...

Now I got a new laptop with Windows 10 and this time we got a 2 years warranty...

I have finished:
I Know a Tale. Surprisingly good. I liked the live acting!
Ashley Clark - The Secret of the Ancient Temple. Abrupt ending! Just OK. Skipped a lot of the puzzles.
The first one was much better.
Sacred Almanac- Traces of Greed. OK, but one very annoying thing: the inventory bar kept disappearing and when you was to pick up something you went back to the last scene. I have to sneak with the mouse and suddenly pick up the item to succeed... The graphics were good.

Hi Anki!  Good to see you and glad to hear that your computer woes are behind you.  I was debating on getting I Know a Tale and in the end decided to get it.  Good to hear that it was a good one.

Doctor Who fans I just want to mention that at Walmart I recently got a 5 pack pc game for $10.00.  It includes...City of Orlehs...Blood of the Cybermen...TARDIS...Shadows of the Uashta Nerror...The Gunpowder Plot.

Right now I am playing Maze: Subject 360 CE.  I got this game and Beyond: Light Adventure in the CE BOGO sale.  I had high hopes that I would find Maze: Subject 360 a enjoyable game and I haven't been disappointed.

For the Awakening group play we just finished Sunhook Spire.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I decided I'd join in and got I Know a Tale as well with a coupon.  The 2for1 still works today and it is BPM.
I had three credits so I picked up the CEs of the new Mystery Trackers as well as the new Dead Reckoning. No money laid out today and got a PCC as well as finished out a card for another PCC.  I think that will be it for this month.  I don't have any more PCCs expiring until September.

I used 2 PCCs and 2 Customer coupons to fill a card with SEs.  I got
Subliminal Realms
Gunspell
Phantasmat
Invasion Lost in Time

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I updated Vast in the Developer's List of Games.  Page 3 post #22.

Looking over the list I see Forgotten Kingdoms...Dream of Ruin and The Ruby Ring.  Has anyone played these games yet?  Were they good, bad or average?

I finished the main game on Maze: Subject 360.  It took me 4 1/2 hours.  If you go with the SE I don't think you would be disappointed with the ending.  The main game has a complete ending.  I started the bonus and it looks to be a prequel with a couple of the townspeople you met in the main game.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

sun, I remember being incredibly disappointed with Dream of Ruin.

I started Mayan Prophecies Blood Moon last night and I'm really enjoying it.  It's not difficult, nice to look at and of course all those birds and artifacts.  I read some of the reviews and someone commented that he was insulted by the story. I'm not sure why though.  It seems to be the norm, perhaps that is what they found insultin! Lol. I like the cats in it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Thanks oscar...If they were really good I would get them both as it is I think I'll pass.  I have so many medium games that I am looking for the Wow nowadays.
