hey Ali or Alien.....you said you would answer to anything except candle ends or toasted cheese? LOL
that reminds me of what my DH used to say...."you can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner!!"  He also liked to make up words all the time and when I said that there is no such word in the dictionary, he would say it is a Johnism !!  (his name was John)

Lol, yes that's a classic!
too funny about made up words: thats really fun!

Re: Finish your games challenge

To fill my punch card I bought Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire. I actually got two Beta-tests of it! I was also thinking of the TGT Ashley Clark: Secret of the Ruby and Calavera:Day of the Dead SE, but they could wait as punch cards fillers another time. In Ashley Clark I ended up skipping all the puzzles, so I felt totally braindead.
I can never make up my mind about Calavera , any opinions are welcome

Just finished Dark Fall; the Journal, ...it was AWESOME   Hard , but not crazy , and although a bit spooky, it was like a terrific ghost story in the old sense...RECOMMENDED. (Of course, am now waiting for the Last Crown to be released....(Hallowe'een , it is said!)

Re: Finish your games challenge

I bought  Twilight Phenomena  at the ERS sale.  It's fun,  if you suspend your disbelief and hang it firmly at the door.  This is the one with the controversial raccoon. It's actually fun to give him outfits;  he loves them--gets excited and does a little dance.  There's no comparison to dressing up real animals.  I love re-playing  Setlement Colossus.  But I am a little tired of constantly collecting firewood,  when the carpenter always has plenty of wood.  I seem to have finished  Inspector Parker,  which amazed me;  it got really hard by the end.  You had to get,  not only murderer,  weapon,  and room,  but
victim, clue left,  motive,  and method of body disposal.  Sadly,  there was no fireworks or congratulatory message,  just a darkening of the
"continue"  button.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Hey,  Allie!  I occasionally make up words,  when there's no ready-made one that fits.  I figure,  someone made them all up.  Where do you suppose the dictionary got them?

Re: Finish your games challenge

Barre--sorry,  just realized the comment about made-up words was yours.  I'm getting toward the end of  Path of Hercules,  (third journey)
and think that will be enough.  Finally quit playing  Trade Mania 2;  pretty  much exhausted the possibilities.  Still on  Bird's Town,  but will quit when I get the city built.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Whoever mentionned Nearwood, thank you.  This has to be one of the most visually beautiful games I have seen.  i sat and watched the whole opening sequence until it started over again.  Really lovely graphics. And so far a lot of fun to play. two thumbs up.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Hi, fellow Sue! I finished the bonus chapter of Nearwood yesterday. I used to watch the entire opening scene every time I opened the game. Luckily I found all 111 Snoop Sees so that I got to read their entire story at the end. You find out why they're there. But remember that there are between 1 and 4 per scene and some of them are very well hidden. But some of them are also very cute when they're playing dressups. Definitely in my top 5, if not my top 3, games. And the amazing artwork is just as good in every single scene. I so want to live there! There are also some unique puzzles. I loved it. I hope you have as much fun as I did.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Anki, I'm thinking about Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire but I did get Ashley Clark: Secret of the Ruby and will be playing that one next. It may not be a great game but I love the challenge of playing it on the hardest level, with no black bar tips, no instructions for the puzzles unless you ask for them, no sparklies on anything (even HOS), and the cursor doesn't even change when you move it over a hotspot, so no magnifying glass, no hand, no gears, no nothing. And there are collectibles for hints!
