If anyone's wondering about today's soft release - Claws & Feathers 2 - it was released by Gamehouse a couple of weeks ago. I demoed it, using the profile I always use when I try a game, Trial, and, 88 levels later, I'm still using the profile Trial as I didn't want to stop and start again with my usual game profile, it's that good. Even though I was playing it with my FunPass, at about level 66 I bought it as it's a game I want to keep as I know I'll be playing it again.
I highly recommend Claws and Feathers 2 for anyone who likes this sort of M3, where you move a piece along available squares to make matches. It's so cute, with the cats (claws) versus the birds (feathers). And I love the graphics. It even has a storyline!
If I remember correctly, I didn't like the first one when I tried it, but I love this one. I normally don't like this sort of M3 all that much, but this one is charming and each level's goals are different with several different types of gameplay. The hardest ones are those you have to complete in only a certain number of moves, as there's only one way to do it, and I'm stuck on one of those levels atm as I can't find a bird that's free to move that will actually accomplish anything. If you take more moves than the goal states it's no problem, you can continue playing, you just get a silver star rather than a gold one. I don't think there are any timed levels, the only problem is finishing the level before the board fills with cats and birds as each time you move a bird without making a match new eggs hatch.
I only get to play it at night when we're all watching TV as it's a game I can pick up and put down as soon as Mum needs something, and I can't wait to get back to it!
I definitely recommend that you try it and see if you like it, 'cause I love it!

Stusue, is Claws and Feathers like Hidden Wonders where there's a path and you have to clear it? I"m still obsessed with Queen's Garden, like level 350, lol.
I finished Mystery Tales the Lost Hope PE from GH. It was alright, I even finished the bonus chapter because it was so short. You found coins to decorate your hint and inventory bars, I actually kind of like that feature, and you found stone animals and crystals to transform them to life. It had nothing at all to do with the game. I also finished Dreamscapes Nightmare's Heir, it was a sequel to DS:Sandman. Didn't like it as well as the first one, I started the bonus but probably won't finish it. Missed a lot of SnoopSees, some of them were really well hidden. I'm just not enjoying any of the features of CEs lately. I have one CE coupon and I will probably use that on True Fear 2 when it comes out. I forgot to cancel so I'm a member until mid August. Maybe it will come out by then.

You know how I love Queen's Garden 2? Well I just started the first one with FunPass. It's hard!!!! I had to replay the first few levels several times. You have different goals for each board. Some of the explanations are lacking. One told me I had to make matches over the green tiles but the matches had to be leaves. But there were no green tiles and no leaf tokens???? So I broke the gold tiles by matching spades over them. Then the next board had 2 different tiles that had to be broken by matching 2 different things. And the timer is extremely fast. Don't know if I'll play it more or give it a pass.
I think I'll start Psycho Train with FP tonight. I've also started Knight Solitaire 2, I don't care for Nordic Storm Solitaire.

Wendy, no, Claws & Feathers 2 is where you have a board that's filled with birds and cats and barrels and all manner of things that get in your way and you have to move the birds to make matches with at least 3 of the same colour birds but they can only move along a clear path (it's a grid). You also have to remove all manner of pirate cats by surrounding them with 2, 3 or 4 birds and you'll get bombs, or keys to open treasure chests, or paint tins, or fireworks, all of which you'll need to complete both goals. However, if you move a bird but fail to make a match, all the little eggs that were on the board (showing what birds would be added if you didn't make a match) hatch, filling your board up really quickly. So you not only have to worry about achieving your goals, but also watching how your board is filling up so that there are enough pathways to still move.
You always have 2 goals, your main one and a secondary one. If you fail to complete the secondary one (eg. clear 85% of the board, not letting more than 21 yellow birds fly away, free all the chained birds, etc) before you achieve the main goal, the level will end and you'll get a silver star instead of a gold star.
Each board is different with different challenges. Eg. directional arrows between separate sections, blocked gangways to get you onto the pirate ship, etc. Some are really, really tricky but all are so much fun!
As I said in my previous post, there aren't any timed levels but every 5 or 10 or whatever levels there's a limited-move one, and they're really tricky. Level 51 took hours and hours and what seemed like decades, just staring at the board, trying to work out where the heck I was supposed to start! There's normally only one move to start and that can be really tricky working out as normally most of the birds are chained or blocked. In Level 51 I finally remembered that those pesky crows could be moved, which opened up a pathway for one of the birds.
Here's a review at BFG, as it might give you a bit more of an idea as this game is really, really hard to describe as each level is so different.

I couldn't agree more with Biscuitmama, I too have been eagerly awaiting for another Claws & Feathers game to be released....oh happy day! When the first C&F was released, I purchased the game after 5 minutes of playing because this game is just like one of my all time favorites, DaVinci's Secret (only with balls not birds) I never grow tired of playing this game, you have to give it a try, it's totally worth it.
The basic goal of this game is to match at least three of the same colored birds to remove them from the board. Sounds easy, and it is, but of course this gets more difficult as you progress. Those cats are devious, and they must be removed from the board by making matches of at least two of the same colored birds (depending on the size and type of cat) next to the cat. The cats are thieves, and they often are hiding color coded keys to the treasure chests you must open, or they hide bombs and fireworks from you to try to deter you from using it against them!
Some levels have directional arrows that will only allow you to drag the birds in one direction, and the mischievous cats often kidnap birds and chain them up which requires you to make the first match to unchain the bird and the second time frees him. If this game still sounds easy, then maybe I forgot to tell you that every time you move a bird but aren't able to make a match, several new birds will hatch from the eggs that are also on the board! Sometimes the eggs are beneficial when you run out of the color of bird you need that are still blocking the keys, chests and artifacts on the board. You can place a bird of any color on top of an egg to get rid of it as well.
You need to read each level's goals because you might find all the keys and open all the chests, but still lose because the goal might be to unchain all chained birds, clear out 85% of the board or free less than 6 blue birds, as well as open all the chests or assemble the artifacts. You can replay the level as often as you want until you meet all of the goals. This game is addictive, so pull up a comfy computer chair, you're going to be playing for a while, enjoy!

Wendy, Queen's Garden 1 is harder than Queen's Garden 2?
I played the first one as soon as it came out and loved it but haven't started the second one yet (even though I bought it straight away). I don't know if I'm happy that it's not so hard or disappointed.

Wendy, I've just finished Claws & Feathers 2.
I didn't think I'd ever finish as the last level took me forever!
I had all 6 pieces of the amulet in the centre, with the last piece waiting right next to its spot as I had to achieve the second goal before I could put it together. However, 87% board clearance took forever!!!! Every time I got close to 80% I ran out of moves and suddenly all the eggs hatched and I was back down to around 70%, one time back down to 61%. But I persevered and kept trying to get all the little birdies to fly away. And then, after playing this level for what seemed like hours (but was definitely over an hour), I got another electrical zapper powerup, chose blue, it zapped all the little blue birdies (sorry, guys), and I was suddenly 87%! I wasn't expecting it but boy, was I happy when that little goal bar slowly slid to the left and just left a tiny little bit jutting out with a gold star on it. Then I just had to move the last piece of the amulet one square over to complete the level.
Then realised that it wast the last one!
So I checked my achievements - yes, it has them - and found out that I got gold for all bar one, the one where you get gold on each level. So now I just have to go back to get gold on the 8 limited-move levels that I only got silver for as I did one move too many each time but didn't know where I'd done that stupid single superfluous step (do you like the alliteration?) and so didn't replay.
Then I'll check out Claws & Feathers 1 and maybe play that one...

I shoud be playing the last Awakening, but I started Fantasy Mosaics 8: New Adventure instead. I needed a change of pace. Over halfway done. So far there was once puzzle where I needed to quess the last two colored in squares.

The two games are totally different. The second one doesn't have any power-ups off to the side, you can only create them on the board. If you match 4 by moving an icon horizontally, then a row is cleared when you match the bonus, if you match 4 by moving vertically then a column will be cleared. If you match a straight row 5 you get a bomb and if you match 6... a horizontal a vertical match, then you get a hummingbird that will clear every type of the icon you switch it with. The board setups include some things in disconnected parts of the board so you have to get the right type of match and then maneuver the bonus to the right spot. And the garden building is totally different, too. They're both hard on timed but in totally different ways. I've kept going with the first one and it's gotten easier to remember what I have to do, if the tiles are blue you always need to match blue gloves over them, if they're red they need the red carnations, etc. The timers are on the short side, I've had to replay a lot of boards a lot of times, lol. Of course I hate to use the powerups on the side for some reason, it always feels like cheating and I'm not quite sure how to refill them after they're used so I've been playing using just the stuff on the board, which only makes explosions and I'm not quite sure how they work, either.

Danse Macabre Deadly Deception was an incredibly short game. It took me 2hr and 13 mins to complete. NO skips and reading all the file material. I have no idea what the CE would bring to the table for the main game.

Just finished Rhianna Ford & The Da Vinci Letter and for an old game, I really enjoyed it. There was a good story with cut scenes and lots of locations. Lots of hidden object scenes but they were realistic and tied into game really well. Puzzles were nice, not too hard or too easy. At the end, you can play in Find All Mode and I checked it but will keep it on the computer if I ever want to go back and play the HOS.
Since June, after my reunion, I have been playing lots and finishing one about every 4 or 5 days, which is pretty good for me. I'm gonna list/make a short comment on each.
Pahelika: Secret Legends (6/14) Different kind of game w/thinking challenges (reminds me of Azada)
Empress of the Deep: The Darkest Secret (6/22) Ok, oversized graphics, good puzzles, so so HOS.
Penny Dreadfuls Sweeney Todd (6/27) Loved it, junky but good HOS, (same dev-Sleepy Hollow which I loved).
Tiger Eye - Part 1: Curse of the Riddle Box (7/02) Ok, lots of good puzzles. Did not get all items to unlock extras.
Deadtime Stories (7/06) Loved everything about it, esp the graphics (Tim Burton-ish)
Secret Mission: The Forgotten Island (7/09) Easy game even on hard, good puzzles, follow trail thru jungle to unlock lovers of 300 years.
Island: The Lost Medallion (7/12) Enjoyed it, FROG/HOG HOS, End indicated sequel, never happened.
Love and Death: Bitten (7/15) Not into vampire stuff but game ok, Victoria by day, Damon by night.
Haunted Manor - Lord of Mirrors (7/20) Liked it, lots of HOS, finds shards of mirror throughout game, revisit all rooms to find zodiac signs. TBC.
Really need to play some current stuff but seem to be into knocking out my old ones for now.
