Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I've been playing Puppetshow: The Price of Immortality.  I've liked the more recent ERS games.  This one is alright.  There's a transport map, if you use the hint it gives you directional if it's close by, if you have to go far it transports you.  I tend to use the map too much, though.  I like the story to this one so far.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Done with Puppetshow.  Kind of an abrupt ending, saved our friend, the end.   The story was a bit sad, town suffering from a disease, doctor saves them by making them puppets but now they have no emotions.  I like this type storyline... person messes up while trying to do good... better than the evil entity harvesting life forces.
I"m playing Nordic Storm Solitaire with Funpass.  I don't really like it that much.  The things you buy aren't permanent, so you just mainly buy wildcards.   You can't buy anything to help with the icy cards and I loathe them.  You have to play it twice just to unfreeze it and then a third time to get rid of it and your deck advances a card every time so you can't even use a combo on the board to help you.  And when you replay a level a lot of the same cards are in the same places, don't know if it's exactly the same deal or not.  What I do like is the objectives.  You have to score so many stars in so many hands to move on.  Where I'm at now I have to score 10 stars of a possible 12 stars in  4 hands.  So if I get 3 3-star hands I only need 1 star on the other hand.  You can't go on to the next group until you get enough stars.  You get to keep the money you earn replaying, so you can eventually buy enough wild cards to get through a tough hand.  But the ice card really, really annoys me and there are quite a few hands that have them.
I have no idea what to think of the new Egyptian Settlement game from reading the reviews.  Sounds like people who stuck it out the whole hour eventually figured out what was going on and really liked the game, others wanted to like it but couldn't figure out how to play.    I'm still on my 'anything but a HOPA' kick, even though I"ve been playing them a little.

Puppetshow: The Price of Immortality...I enjoyed playing this one too.  Thought it had a good story with it and the game play was fun.

Wendy...With your Gamehouse funpass why not try Hypnosis.  It is different and not exactly a HOPA like Puppetshow.  It is a unique game.  I played it before and really thought a lot about it and thinking of replaying it again soon.  You play a psychiatrist and have 5 patients.  You get inside their subconscious to  help them battle their fears.  You do this by a mini game battle that I just loved to do.   Battles started off easy and got harder as you went.

I think I bought Hypnosis, Sun, so it's on the back burner.  It sounds pretty good.  I play my BFG games when I can't get internet to activate the FunPass games.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Just like last year, we got a 3 day BOGO sale.  Game club credits can be used.  I'd like to get some games, but I'm going to wait and see if the codes work on Monday and if Monday is a bonus punch day.  If so, I'll get 4 games.  If not, I'll wait.  I still have lots of games to play.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I'm doing the same, Tirama.  I have the 2 codes I got from my friend.  I wonder if they count as a PCC or if they're a Customer Service coupon which would get 2 punches if it's a BPM.   I'd like to use one GCC on a BPM and get 4 punches and then use the other coupons to fill the card.  That would be 4 SEs plus a free one.  Plenty for me since nothing has really appealed to me lately.  I will probably get Surface and maybe that Settlement strategy game.  I'm going to lolligag around Monday so I will have plenty of time to decide.  Been playing Viking Saga, I think it is.  I get lots of 2 stars, I won't move on with 1 star.  Sometimes I replay my 2 star levels, sometimes I just move on.  I will go back at the end and try to 3 star them all.  There's 45 levels, I think I'm in the low 30s.  Now I'm off to log in on MC and then play Nordie Storm Sollitaire for a few min;utes.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

It's Bonus punches so I used 1 GCC on the new Surface and NY Mysteries SEs for 4 punches and used a CS coupon on Egyptian Settlement and got 2 more punches for a full card.  Somehow I seem to have a stray PCC, now I have 2 so I could use another GCC to fill another card but I don't really want 4more games, didn't really want the ones I got.  It was hard going, I barely have internet here, just 1x most of the time and it keeps fading in and out.  It will be worse when more people get here.  We were supposed to be in a small city, but last minute they changed it to a rinky dink fair in the middle of nowhere. The city has my bank, the last time I get to go until late August and now I can't go.  Luckily it looks like I should have $125 left in there by late August, the minimum is $100 or you get charged $12, so I should just barely be able to avoid the fee.  My other money transactions I use Green Dot and Bluebird, I can put money on them at Walmart when I jump next Sunday.  It's hard doing money on the road.
I'll finish my first Northern Tale game today, but then I will go back and replay for at least 2 stars, a lot of them towards the end I just barely finished with 1 star so I'll have to try to figure out the strategy..

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Like wendy, I got New York Mysteries: High Voltage & Surface: Alone in the Mist using 1 credit.  I got mine on sunday because I wasn't sure that they would have the bonus punch today or on Tuesday.

I had chinese food at a local chinese food restaurant friday night.  I got kung pao chicken which I thought tasted a little funny and I opened up a piece and saw that the chicken was partially cooked. Yuck!  Good thing I didn't have that much, but I have been sick to stomach ever since.  I don't ever want to have chinese food never, ever, ever, never again...well, at least at that particular restaurant.

I did go and see Jurassic World at the theater with my Husband.  It was really good and we both thought it had alot in common with the first Jurassic Park movie.  Out of the 2 I think that the original is the better movie, but I did get a kick out of the raptors in Jurassic World.

wendy -- I LOVE the NORTHERN TALE games.

sunshinej -- So sorry about the partially cooked chicken!  Hope you feel better soon.  Yeah.  That restaurant would definitely be off my list!  Did you say anything?

Thanks lilyr.  No, I didn't say anything to them since we had company.  I just threw it out.  I was the only one who had kung pao chicken, everyone else had orange chicken which was cooked all the way.
