Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Finished Natural Threat.  The last puzzle was one you had to paint the sections and the same color couldn't touch.  I had it perfect and it wouldn't recognize it.  So I changed a piece to a color that was obviously wrong and then it said I had it.  This was a game I almost bought at BFG a long time ago but I played it with my Funpass.  Glad I saved the money, lol.  It was alright but nothing special, except that it ;had difficult puzzles.

I also started Gummy Drop, BFGs FTP M3...abbreviations, much?  So far you have to break some tiles and achieve a certain score.  I'm not really liking it, the girl keeps saying stupid encouragements.  Great drop!  Let's go gummy!  Weekend!

Do you need the internet to play Gummy Drop? My mom plays Candy Crush and since she doesn't have the internet she can not get any help for the later levels. I told her about Gummy Drop and will put in on her tablet for her via WiFi if she can just play it without the internet.

Candy Crush has those comments too. It's a man's voice (which I prefer more than a girl's one) that says Sweet! Great Job! and other things.

I"m playing the PC version, so far it only seems to need internet to access the store.  I have Treasures of Montezuma for my tablet, I really liked it.  I think it might have been an Amazon App of the Day.  I started playing Jewel Quest, maybe it was, last night on it.

Jewel Quest was the first M3 I ever played.  Don't remember how I got it but remember liking it a lot, till I got to those blasted monkeys.  I think I even bought II and III.  Need to put it on my desktop and start playing it again.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I've almost finished Castle but I've decided to Dex it.  A lot of the puzzles were hard, but the logic was driving me crazy.  We kept stealing stuff from one crimescene and taking it to another crimescene.  And stupid stuff, like wires.  Shouldn't we just stop at the hardware store instead of going three different places and dismantling their stuff for a wire?  And the first place we got a wire had three wires there, don't understand why we only took one and had to go all over town looking for two more pieces?  Once again, glad I didn't pay actual money for the game.  Although the hard puzzles might have been worth it, they were quite complicated and I really wish there would have been a hint button for them.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Thanks wendy.  In that case I'll put Gummy Drop on my mom's tablet.  Anything is better than playing the same level over & over again in Candy Crush.   I am no M3 expert or anything, but I had a stab at it and it was unbelievable hard.  Makes it tough to play when you have no internet, not on facebook and have no facebook friends to give you help.  So that is why I mentioned the Gummy Drop game to her.

I have Treasures of Montezuma on a CD.  It came with 3 other games.  I played it and liked it.  I think it is the only M3 game I have played.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I remember when Castle came up as a DD.  I had a should I or shouldn't I moment  if  I should get it or not.  I thought I didn't, but I just checked my purchase history and guess I did.
I also saw that I have Criminal Minds which I bought as a DD and have not played yet either.  I don't know why I got either one as I don't watch the shows and don't know what they are about.

Now Pysch which I did watch, I didn't get it when it came up a DD.  Go Figure.

sunshinej -- I think it's easier to play games based on TV shows, books, movies, if you haven't seen them or read them.  The disconnects (and there are always a bunch) don't bother me if I'm not familiar with what they are based on.

Well, perhaps, I get what you are saying, of course.  For me though, the games where I was familiar with the character or real person are the ones that got played.

Murder, She Wrote.
Ghost Whisperer
Elvis in Hidden Mysteries: Gates of Graceland
President Kennedy in Lost Secrets: November 1963

Where as Criminal Minds has been sitting in my purchase history unplayed since I got it in 2/20/13 and
Castle  I just got in 5/4/14, but I think if I got Psych I would have played it already.  I do like Shawn & Gus and Shawn's dad Henry.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

sunshinej -- I remeber a lot of complaints about the MURDER SHE WROTE games (esp the 1st) -- the voices weren't right, the characters didn't look right, etc.  I did watch the show and did enjoy the games.  I do have that  Hidden Mysteries Elvis game but haven't played it as yet.  I'll have to take a look at those LOST SECRETS games.  I don't have any of them.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I never watched Castle but agree with Wendy, the game was just so illogical as to where you had to go to find things.   There are much better who done it games out there.

Of the games sunshine listed, I only have the Elvis one, but I enjoyed it very much.
