Re: The Chat Lounge

Wow! sunshinej!  Thanks for the pics!  My SIL had bears on her porch because of the bird feeders.  We've had black bears in some fairly suburban areas near where I live.

Re: The Chat Lounge

Glad you like the pictures lilyr.  How scary for your SiL to find a bear on her porch.  I think I would've move those bird feeders out into the yard ASAP if that  happened to me.

My husband's friend took a video of a black bear he found in the woods when he went camping.  It was pretty neat seeing the bear going about his business when he showed the video to us.  The friend was pretty far away and used the zoom lens to take the video.

It took me 6 tries to get the black bear's picture in the frame just right. I liked how it turned out.   He kept moving around and I'd be missing his snout or his back leg would be cut off.

Re: The Chat Lounge

Hi everyone!

My furbaby, Freya, FINALLY got spayed this week.  In/out in one day.  She slept the rest of that 1st day away and was cranky.  Day 2 was better - way better.  Day 3 - today - she is running all over the house.  She's not licking much so I don't have to keep the cone on 24/7.  Believe me, when she's NOT wearing the cone, I'm watching her like a hawk!  She is doing so well!  I'm really proud of her.  She had 2 days of additional pain meds which were used up last night.  So glad to finally get that over.  Next project ---- grooming.

Re: The Chat Lounge

sunshinej -- My SIL took the bird feeders down.  She moved into that house (waaaay out in the country) in October when the bears were eating everything they could get to get ready for hibernation.  She now has them out in the yard (and brings them in for a while in Autumn & then puts them out in Winter).

freyasmom -- I'm glad Freya did so well with being spayed.  It sounds like you survived pretty well too!

Re: The Chat Lounge

Lilyr...Well that's good.  I bet it was shocker to find bears on one's porch.

Freyasmom...Glad Freyas is feeling much better now.  Also, thanks for the game beta links.

Re: The Chat Lounge

Glad you and Freya are recovering, Susan.
I've been to a ton of zoos in my travels but not really any lately, just Bush Gardens.  I don't think I've been to the Cleveland zoo, always wanted to go because of Jack Hanna.  You got some really good pictures.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Wendy -- I like Jack Hanna too.  If you are ever around a TV on a Saturday he has a series called OUT IN THE WILD.  It's really, really good.

Re: The Chat Lounge

The blue doesn't show up as well in the completed photo, I think my lighting is probably too bright.
