Still plugging along. Last two museum buildings are at levels 1 and 3. Fatima is doing her "What's the next step? This is the next task!" shtick. Fuel stickpile has grown to 274.

I'm still playing until the end of the year. I've never played Thanksgiving or Christmas. After that, I'm moving on. At least we know not to waste our time stockpiling gold for an update that's never coming.

I can understand ending this game, because they've let us acquire an insane amount of gold and it's so easy to make money and you can buy the mac and cheese to increase/fill your energy at will so there's not really any incentive to make purchases, but it seemed like they held the reins a lot tighter on AK, I'm a bit surprised that one is ending. I guess I'm getting my life back.

I wonder if they shot themselves in the foot with the Elixir of Haste. That and the change in food price make it easy to advance at a good ate without spending any money.
I'd love to know just when this decision was made. The quality really wan't there in the last Dana Knightstone game, an dthe last two updates for ART really looked like QA was skipped altogether. Makes me wonder if BZ had the foot halfway out the door as early as a year ago, around the time we heard abot their plans to self-pubish.

I'm debating whether to use my gold to buy the wallpaper so I no longer have to stockpile fuel. For some reason it feels like cheating. On the other hand, if this was a game that I bought, I'd be on the verge of dexing it.

Well, I broke down and bought 120 pieces of wallpaper. That was enough for the six buildings that were waiting for it with 8 pieces left over.
I figured that I never would have spent so much time completing plushy sets if this announcement had preceded the spring event. So the time spent getting gold would have been spent gathering fuel. Silly to waste more time gathering fuel.
I used a bunch of my stockpiled fuel to get screws and nails and yet more paintbrushes for Fatima. If I run out before it's needed for Pirate's Day and/or Halloween, I can either earn some or buy some.

My six buildings have finished upgrading to level 5. Today I started customizing them to pirate. That took a quite out of my wallet so I used a keepsake and played the mini games inside the museum office (the blueprints). For some reason, I don't want my coins to fall below 10,000,000.
Tomorrow I'll spend 30 minutes working on the last two buildings and getting Fatima the last 4 paintbrushes needed to repair the sword in the Knights of the Round Table building.

Now that some time has past, I think I'm relieved that this game is ending. I don't think I could face another update involving flying allover teh world to build yet another community, even if the quests didn't come from Fatima.
Now I can quit playing at the end of the year, but not feel like I'm bailing out.
