Wendy....Good luck & best wishes on your upcoming season. Make mucho dinero!
Oscar...How adorable. What a little sweetie.
Freyasmom... Earth day facts were interesting. I didn't do anything for Earth Day. It was much too cold and we had a brutal wind. We even saw a trace of flurries in the late afternoon.

The puppy is sooooooooooooooo adorable! I'm sure you're anxious and excited to finally bring him home.
sunshinej: Glad you liked the Earth Day facts.. I try to post daily on my Forum (wacky holidays, thought of the day, word of the day, etc.) but we've been updating the site and that's been taking up all my time. But, it really looks good! Hopefully, I'll start posting .....all day ..... again soon.
Also, I have a list of beta links to post here and on my site. Where do all the hours in a day go????

I planted flowers - clematis- in my back yard, enough from me for your earth day.

Sunshine, I don't understand this
After taking out all the holiday theme games, since my sister & niece are J.W. there is still quite a lot left.
I looked up Jehovah's Witnesses and they believe in Christ so why can't they do holiday theme games? What special restrictions does that religion have? Just interested.

Hi wendy...I'll try to answer you. I know somewhat about the J.W. from what I picked up.
They don't celebrate Mother's, Father's or Grandparent's Day because those should be everyday and not a special day once a year.
They don't celebrate 4th of July because they must stay politically neutral.
No birthdays because Jesus himself said not to celebrate his birth, but his death. They do give and receive gifts any time of year though for no other reason than just because.
No Christmas because see above and they don't believe he was born on 12/25.
No Halloween or valentines or any other holiday with its roots in paganism.
They do celebrate Easter cause that is when Jesus died but it's different. No Easter bunny or eggs or anything like that.
They do celebrate personal achievements like marriage anniversaries and graduations from school.
They don't believe in luck.

Thanks, Sunshine, that's interesting. I actually believe pretty much the same. Actually practicing it is a different matter, lol.
The 8 foot of snow they got up north caved in the roof of my van, at the back of it. I filed a claim with the insurance company, hope I don't have any trouble with it. I have a tarp over the worst part, there was a bunch of water inside but most of the stuffed animals seem ok, where it leaked I have mostly junk/stuff and some basketballs and bounce balls, only seems like a couple boxed got it bad. Don't know if I can get reimbursed for them or not. They might say it's a total loss because the van is a 93.
It's so frigging cold up here. When I got to the airport in Florida at 4am it was in the low 70s. When I got here it started snowing!!! The grounds a little too warm for it to stick, but at it's worst it started to, but it melted quickly. It was in the 20s last night, it said high of 47 today but it's almost 3 and only 36 with a 'feel like' temp of 26, so I don't think it's gonna happen. In the 20s again tonight, thought I had a space heater but it was a borrowed one so i don't have it anymore. I do have an electric blanket, I've just stayed in bed today snuggled up under it, but my back is starting to hurt, guess I should get up for awhile, maybe find somebody driving to Walmart so I can buy a heater. So anyway, life is sucking.

Just think:
everyone needs to believe in something or someone - even in miracles - it happens.
what kind of man you are if you have no faith?
As for the celebration - every day should be celebrated. Every day should be greeted as the day when will happen something nice.
I buried my best friends (they died from heroin) they died young.
For them life is over, like they never lived. they can not do anything more, can not change or may wish anything...
That is the moment when I decide to wake up with smile everymorning, and celebrate every day and most important I become grateful and without sarcasm, I try to share love and positive energy- thats everybody need.

You're right, Mila, I do try to be happy, may as well be happy as sad, they're both just a state of mind, right?
Last night was the first day of actual work. Someone else came and put up another basketball game, so my basketball was down, but my balloons were up so I did about the same overall. Today is only supposed to be in the high 50s, maybe a little rain, but the rest of the week in the 60s, so that's decent eno;;ugh. I spent a half hour yesterday trying to get my power on, took apart all my electrical connections, checked all the wires, checked everything in the fuse box (I know more about electricity than a woman should), couldn't find anything wrong and then I finally realized I hadn't turned the light switch on. A real idiot moment. But at least it was easily fixed, lol. The insurance guy came and looked at my van yesterday, so I can start getting it fixed next week. Don't know how much money I'll get for it, but one of the guys here says he can jerry-rig it pretty cheaply, I just have to make sure to prop 2x4s under each rib that goes across the roof when I park it so the snow can't cave it in again.
