Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Yeah, and I can cook in my toaster oven, but that fact is of no use if the thing I need to cook is a 25 pound turkey.

I don't know why they changed it that you have to be online to cash in your collections, it wasn't that way before this last update from hell.  My only goal for the spring event is to get 1 of each special collection to make Odin happy and then this piece of trash can just sit there.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had to be online all last summer to trade in collections, I think it's totally stupid.  Even the daily checkin, why should you have to be online for that?  Surely it can just be programmed in.  Maybe it's because of the cloud thing, maybe if you're not registered to the cloud you don't need to be online.
I don't have Odin yet, does he have to do with the storage building?  I still don't have a building built yet, can't get enough pipes or screws or nails or drills.  Well, I have enough drills for one building.  I think I could do Time Machine again but I think I'm going to save tht for last.  What are the games that are in the buildings?

If you had to be online last summer to redeem collections, then that illustrates that once upon a time people didn't have the server issue.  I never had problems turning in collections so never realized that I needed to be online.

You have to be online for the daily bonus so that your system clock can be compared to the time ther server has saved for when your new day begins.  Otherwise som people would cheat and advance their clock to get their rewards early and then set the clock back to get more time to do daily and timed quests.

All that registering to the cloud does is allow you to access your game on BF's server from any computer.  With MC, if your computer dies, you have to contact BF to have your old game data transferred from the old social code to a new one you receive when downloading the game onto the new machine.  PITA.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I just finished buying everthing available for inside the antique store.    Any money I earn during the Spring event I'll use to start buying more of the tacky town decorations.

I spend the entire day clicking on butterflies in MC, so naturally my dq is in the butterfly house.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I completed all 4 collections so Odin is off my back.  I have a total of 6,000 gold bars, which is probably more than enough.  And I still have some achievements to finish that will give me more gold.  So I doubt I'll spend much time assembling turtles this year.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

This Spring special event isn't very exciting if you've already played it last year.  Half the quests I haven't had to do, they show up already checked.

The July 4th event should really be a snoozer.  It wasn't much the first time.  We might not have t do anything, just collect the rewards.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I should be making thousands of gold but I just can't stand it.  I think whatever gold I do get will go towards screws, drills, nails, etc.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The Spring event has disappeared from my game.  No quest arrived.  No spring countdown clock on the bottom of my screen.  If it's not back in time for me to do the April 17th quest, that's it for me.  I will dump this game.
