Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Yeah, I started out being a bit sympathetic but then I read

I told them that if they can credit my account with 200 gold bars, then they can credit it with 700,000 gold bars as well. That way I can instantly upgrade and unlock everything that I lost. I don't mind playing the quests over again, but I want my new profile to be where my old profile was in respects to game progress, and the only way to do that is if I get all of my gold back. I appreciate all of you who offered advice to me, but if they don't come through on this I'm out. Am I the only one who thinks that it's far to easy to erase a profile and everything that goes with it. I did register it to the cloud, but that was gone, too. To anyone out there that this has happened to, I truly sympathize. To anyone out there who will have this happen some day, I hope you have better luck than I did. And finally to Big Fish Games, give me my 700,000 gold bars back because it's the right thing to do.

Giving this person 700,000 gold bars because the kid started a new game is the right thing to do.... boy, this person has quite the attitude.  Especially when we all know those gold bars weren't earned.  And he kept saying you were attacking his child.  Nothing you said was in any way, shape, or form an attack on his child, he just didn't have any other comeback.  I think BFG was generous, too. 200 gold is quite a lot, especially when it's not their fault.

Well, I got fin-slapped for "calling him out" and saying that he/his child was at fault.

The 200 gold bars AND 50,000 coins he received would have cost $25.  That's probably the most that can be handed out as a show of good will.

700,000 gold bars cost $56,000.  I can imagine how a company could get away with a journal entry for that amount of money for good will.   And, for all I know, they may have had to issue him a 1099 for those goods (since he was claiming he had been smart to take advantage of the glitch and had earned them fairt and square)  and he would have owed income tax on that $56,000.

Then he continued to bait me (those posts were removed) probably hoping I'd lose it so he could go crying to the mods.  What a loser.  Pity his wife.  He's just a big bully boy.

I'm sorry you got caught up in this Tirama.  I read the post and thought "Hey, monitor yoiur kid, password protect your computer, suck it up" and then I stopped reading.  I'd LOVE it if they gave him the 700,000 gold AND a 1099!!

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Thanks, guys.  The baiting didn't bother me all that much.  I figured it said more about him than it did about me.

I figure he mentioned the kid in his first post to play the sympathy card.  Kind of silly.  Most regulars on BF are of the grandparent generation or older.  Our parents wouldn't let us touch the TV (if we had one), or the stereo equipment.  Parents nowaday are buying their toddlers smart phones.

Fatima Issa is the most obnoxious character BoomZap has ever produced.  I really don't need her to tell what a compass is or to tell me that GPs wasn't around during the Age of Exploration.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm trying to get one stinking building built, just to see what's in it, but now I need drills and screws and nails and it takes me forever to get enough extra fuel to fly to those 2 or 3 fuel countries, and they're all on beginner so I usually don't even get anything from them yet.  I've been trying to keep my collections at 5, I only have the first three countries so that's 15 fuel in reserve.  Do I want to do the storage building or the one in the top left corner first?  I still need one more blueprint from the envelope place for my next building.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You want to get the warehouse built so you get the quests to move the special collectibles into it.  If you want to see just how obnoxious Fatima is, the building to do is one in the center - Age of exploration.  Once the buildings are level 3 you can go in and tigger quests to find the exhibits.

Charlemagne Chees is another good one.  The chess pieces are found in all the countries that open up for free and you're going there anyway.  There's stuff in each mode, so when you get those quests, pay attention and keep track of which modes you've played.  Things dropped very easy for me.  Only had to play one mode in Egypt (I think) twice.

Those are the only three buildings I have at level 3.  The rest are at level 1.

Tirama -- I agree about Fatima!

Wendy -- Tirama, as always, has good advice!
