Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

wendy...Blackmoor is a terrible game to start playing your first ND game.    I found that one confusing with the columns and the alchemy.  I did like calling to order Nancy's dinner though.  I take a plate of Bangers & Mash please.  Better ones out there to start with.

I love playing both Syberias.  I was lucky that I did the group plays on them back in BFG's heyday.  The first Syberia was my first group play and it was awesome.  I have been hearing that Syberia 3 is coming out this year.  I have seen some pictures of the game and hope it is true.

Have you finished Black Mirror yet?  I did the first one, but would like to play it again since it has been awhile and then I want to go on to 2 & 3.

Oscar...Which Nancy Drew game do you have?
Regarding Botanica  I know Sam was so annoying.  His voice was terrible.  Like a adult faking a kid's voice.  I'll let you know if it is similar to Earthbound.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

This was posted on BF's Facebook page:Hey everyone! We all know you love getting news about our upcoming games, and we wanted to give an update our plans. Right now we're in transition with our preview content. Don't worry though, we still intend to bring you news on upcoming games in new and exciting ways. This might include sneak peek videos, developer artwork, behind the scenes videos, interviews and more. Thanks for your patience while we figure everything out. Please stay tuned!Oh, and if you miss Jessica, ...you can still visit her over on the
Gummy Drop! Facebook page, and look for her in monthly episodes of The Pond!

I do wish they would find a place to just give us a text list of what's being released.  Just the game titles would be enough.  Or has BF decided that their average customer can't read and needs videos and photos to understand what's going on?

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I remember liking Botanica.  I stalled out on Black Mirror and it's on my laptop which there's really no room to use in this little RV.
I don't know why they thought they had to go all video on the previews, it annoys me, I'd rather just read about it like we did in the old days when there was Mudrock and a forum to post in.
I downloaded Riddles of the Past and The Big Secret of a Small Town from GH, Riddles is the circle type game and I'm liking it the little bit I played of it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I prefer a written list over a video anyday.  Any internet article that I click into that comes with a video, the very first thing I do is pause the video so it doesn't interfere with my reading.

The trouble with BFG is that they don't have any place to make announcements at their website.  Not everyone likes to go to facebook.  Actually I am sick of hearing about facebook for anything and everything.  You hear commericials that go like us on facebook.    No!  That's something I won't ever do!

Wendy...I started Black Mirror last night and I thought if you were still playing we could have joined forces. That is why I was asking.   I understand though that you are in tight quarters and have no room for your laptop..

Oscar...Actually I am liking Botanica: Earthbound better than Into the Unknown.  You play as Ellie than as Ian, than back to Ellie.  Haven't seen Sam in it at all.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Good to know Sun, I may demo it then.

Wendy, no little dinette table in the RV? It's too bad it's so small but on the plus side you won't accumulate anything you don't really need!  That's one positive to downsizing.

Winston and I went to the vet again today for a follow up X-ray, his lungs look a little better.  He does have a little cough occasionally.  The bloodwork, well his platelets were 4, even lower despite all the medications.  His tests came back negative for the two things they were looking at.  So it would appear it is an autoimmune thing, with no apparent cause.  She has added another medication and a vitamin as he is getting anemic.  Hopefully it will turn things around.  Basically at this point that's all that we can do, turn it around so he starts building his platelets back up otherwise the prognosis is not good. Poor guy is having to pee a lot because of the prednisone.  He gets me up at least three times a night, so needless to say I'm exhausted, lol he sleeps all day. She doesntthink he is in any pain although he is a little sensitive, for example when I had to lift him into the car, trust me not an easy feat he is 103lbs, but he does little yips. She says often these meds can make sore joints.  So back to pick up this other medicine tomorrow, they had to order it in and start him on it. then I think it will be a weekly follow up.

oscar...Sorry to hear that Winston didn't get a diagnosis to his problem.  I looked up to see what platelets do in the body.  If you have too few - you have a hard time stopping the bleeding if you get cut.  If you have too many, you are at risk of getting a blood clot.  I guess the vet tested his kidney function and the test came back okay.  It is too bad that his medicine is causing him side effects.  I hope he feels better soon.  We know what he means to you.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

(((Oscar and Winston))

With hubby gone I can put the laptop on the table if I feel like it, but it also involves moving the mouse, so that kinda sucks.  The cheap mice were $15, I thought they would be less than 10, so I don't really want to pay for 2 of them, but might have to.
Played a bit more of Riddles of the Past.  I don't remember a thing about the story, not a thing, but I really like the gameplay.  It has the pop-up circles which I really like.  These circles feel good, they're so smooth.  As you put the item in it, that item disappears, kinda snaps closed, instead of sitting there greyed out or in color like most other games of this type.  And the circles are logical, like the items you would need to complete a task, maybe a hammer, nails, and two hinges and then that fixes a door for you.  I'm really loving how it's done.  Now I just have to remember why I'm doing what I"m doing
ETA:  I went back in and looked at the map and that jogged my memory.   I have amnesia (in the game, in the game) and I pieced together a torn up photo hidden in an album and saw a picture of me as a cheerleader at Riverside High so I'm in town to investigate.

What's the full title of that game Wendy?  I was looking for it to see what you were playing.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Riddles of the past, it was under new games at GH.  I've been ODing on FTPs, it's so nice to play a regular game again.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Are there any % off codes for GH?  I'd get Dark Mysteries the Soul Keeper from the discount games, wish it was the PE version.
