Thanks Mila and Wendy. Hmmmm..... 85 gold to unlock Romania and then I can play it to get the owls and get gold so I can buy the resources. That sounds like a plan!
Wendy -- I hear you about the F2P games right about now. There's a lot to be said for regular games! I think I have 3 Valentine's quests that I'll have to do tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I haven't skipped/missed any.

lily - how many stars do you have? You can win gold in the arcade. Last time I looked I had over 600 stars. After the v-day quests are finished, I'm going to spend some of those stars playing the slot machine.
I've only had to buy 1 unit of fuel, at the very beginning when I was following the quest line rather than playing Italy over and over again. Haven't really worked on the buildings other than the warehouse during the v-day quests. Once they're over, I'll do a little each day. No point in hurrying, this could be the only update we get all year.
I finished up MInnesota yesterday and worked on Odin's quests. I'm stuck at the scenery photos while I dither about whether to spend gold bars or coins to get London Bridge.
Tomorrow I have to do the yacht 40 times and Maine 8 times.

I guess I forgot to do the mnini in WendyDarling yesterday but that's the one that doesn't have the white glove to do Margaret's house and one of the items is in there so I wouldn't have been able to do them all anyway. I do have other quests in that game so maybe hopefully the white glove quest will show up, but I doubt it. I think I lost it sometime when my games morph together. I basically just go in there to give keys, and also I start the VD tasks in there so I know what's coming for my other games.

I'm just waiting for the Letter in a Bottle. I am beyond sick of playing the first 3 countries a gazillion times each to get resources to build the stuff on the museum island. And turning the collections in for fuel is sooo tedious.
You can just hit the "Skip" button and it puts them together for you, doesn't cost you anything

I broke down and used gold to get the London Bridge, Blue & White Plate, and the Korean Medal. Wasn't willing to pay 200,000 - 250,000 a piece for them. Still need to get the last 3 platinum collections for Odin.

Finished all my valentine collections. Now I can put this game on the back burner and just pop in once a day to visit each country 4 times (once in each mode) and see if I can make progress on the museum buildings.

Back when the auction dq's began and we thought we'd only have 120 of them, I had decided to save my stars and then use all 120 at once in the arcade. Today I finally did just that. I played the arcade until I had 120 less stars than when I began, meaning I also used the stars I acquired while playing today.
Here's what I won:
91 gold bars (that works out to 3 bars for every 4 dq's. not bad)
15 bundles (6 barrows of construction materials, 6 briefcases of mini game resources, 3 pouches of keepsakes)
10 food items (1 chocolate, 2 pizzas, 7 lasagnas)
19 keepsakes (8 quilts, 9 scepters, 2 hummingbird jewelry boxes)

Australia has checked in on the BF forums. Countdown to Spring Event has started. 43 days to get ready.

Seems like a pretty good haul, Tirama.
I'm already annoyed with the Spring countdown banner.

Teodi's is finally done customizing. And I've managed to get enough resources to upgrade another building of the museum to level two. I need so much stuff from Canada and New Zealand and it eats up so much fuel. And that means playing the 1 fuel countries over and over again. It irks me every time I have to play a country in fast shopper mode. As far as I can see, once the foundations are built, we don't need any of the building supplies fast shopper mode gives us.
Why can't Jillian ever show up and ask for the extra thousands of bricks and logs and paint I have instead of wanting hammers, glue and thread?
