Well more snow swept in thru the night, not too bad though.temp is about -11C today, so big difference. I shovelled and the driveway is like a sheet of ice under the snow.

Thanks so much everyone for all your well wishes, and especially for all the hugs and prayers.
I'm running on fumes at the moment as I've been run off my feet since Tuesday, all when I'm as sick as a dog, and I'm being picked up at 8:50 am tomorrow morning to go to the airport for the first of my 3 flights. So I'm off to bed, hopefully to get a good night's sleep so I'll be okay during the trip.
Take care everyone, and have fun with all the games you're playing! I'll let you know when I get to Sydney, which won't be until Tuesday!

Hi, all you wonderful, supportive people!
I've now been sitting in the lounge in Hong Kong airport for 10.5 hours. Only 4.5 to go. I'll go downstairs in about 2 hours to shower and change clothes ready for the homeward leg. I've now been awake without even a minute's sleep for 28 hours and I doubt I'll be sleeping at all on the next flight, then a whole day awake in Sydney before I can finally sleep.
The flight over China was so turbulent that even the flight attendants had to sit down and belt up, just as they were getting our breakfast ready, so our tray was taken what seemed like only seconds after we'd gotten it. I've never seen flight attendants move so quickly and we were never offered seconds of anything ... no second bread roll or pastry, no second cup of coffee. The winds were so bad that we couldn't fly over the turbulence, nor could we go around it it was so widespread. I can't remember the last time I've experienced such turbulence as nowadays, with specialised radar, planes can normally go around.
I hope my mum's home now. My sister was at her place, waiting for everything to arrive so that they could organise an ambulance to get my mum home ... wheelchair, commode, shower stool, oxygen. I haven't heard back from my sister so I'm not sure if Mum's been settled in at home yet.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Hope you are holding up ok, stusue. That's a long time to have to wait, stay awake, not to mention the toll on your body. Prayers continuing for your mom, you and your family. Hope you can get a little shut-eye on the last leg, just so you aren't completely drained when you reach your mom's house. God Bless.

stusue...What a long wait you had in Hong Kong. It must be nearly over by now or maybe you already boarded the plane for your last leg of your journey. I hope it is a lot smoother ride for you with not much turbulence and some more food for you.
Hopefully you can snooze a little bit on the plane even if it is just a 20 minute nap.

stusue I am SOOO sorry you've had such a bad time so far. Yikes! That flight over China sounded horrible! I'm continuing to pray for you and your family. Hope you can get some sleep -- even if just a bit of a nap on the next flight.

Hi guys!
Well, I'm here, Mum's doing ok, considering, and I've now had a whopping 2 hours sleep in over 53 hours!
I'm so tired that I'm not up to chatting so more tomorrow.
