Hi, everybody. I've been having internet problems. I can't access the forum using my ISP. Right now I'm posting by using my father-in-law's internet service. He lives directly around teh corner from us and I'm just able to pick up his wifi signal.
I can access the rest of the internet just fine. It's only Boardhost's forums that I can't access. When I try, I get teh message page not found. DH and I did some trouble shooting of our own, trying various browsers, laptops, and tablets, and narrowed the problem down to either Boardhost or Comcast blocking access.
I e-mailed Bardhost and they basically blew me off, claiming they don't block people. The online chat with comcast was equally useless. DH called comcast and we did as they suggeste, reset modum, then they reset modum from their end. The tech we got could access the forum, so we were elevated to a tier 2 techie.
The tier 2 techie called us today, he is located in Jacksonville (North Florida) and he couldn't access the forum either. So it's not a nationwide Comcast thing, could just be Florida, could include other states. The problem is now being elevated to a tier 3 techie who will be contacting Boardhost's high level technie to find out why so many comcast customers are being denied service.
We told Comcast that Boardhost has had a number of DDoS recently, and the techie thinks that Boardhost did shut something down (port? portal?).
Needless to say, this problem has been a big time suck.

I've got Brighthouse, I've only been shut out when everyone else has,and this is the only site I've had trouble with.

Tirama...I hope comcast figures out the problem for you.
I finished Shiver: Moonlight Grove. I agree with stusue that this one is pretty good. It had more interaction in a game that I have ever seen. You just didn't click on a handle and it cranked itself - you had to do the cranking or for stirring a pot - you had to do the stirring. I thought it was a nice change and fun to do.
Next up is Shiver: Lily's Requiem for me.

Just a reminder. It's the last Monday in February. So make sure you use those expiring pcc's.

I hope so too. I don't like either of the alternatives if they don't: change ISP's or move the forum.

Tirama -- Thanks for the reminder about expiring PCCs. My next is April. Yikes! I woul;dn't like either of those options either (especially moving the forum).

I didn't have anything expiring but filled up my card and got The Emptiness and Regency Solitaire. Thx for the reminder Tirama I almost forgot. I hope you get your internet sorted out, sounds strange and like Boardhost is the issue.
I started playing Tales of Terror, House on the Hill CE last night. So far it has been quite fun.

I needed 3 punches to fill up my card, so I got
Mystery Tales: The Twilight World
Midnight Mysteries: Ghostwriting
Love Chronicles: A Winter's Spell
I have been playing Shiver: Lily's Requiem. It is so colorful it doesn't seem like a Shiver game at all, which are known for their somber colors. Still it is pretty fun. I have been playing countless games of Battleship with the local mechanic. I hope I can win a game finally so he'll help me get the car fixed up. (This is part of the Shiver game and not RL in case you were wondering.)

Lol, and here I thought your mechanic was a friendly guy!

I'm going to have to replay the Shiver and Nightfall games.
I have to look at the list of the Mystery Trackers to find out the 3rd one and out it on the list as well.
