ooo I see that there is a 2 for 1 sale and I have 8 game club credits and then that will give me pccs and you don't need to be a member to use them right? because after i buy the games I am cancelling my membership. I haven't bought games in ages but I know which ones I want and Im going to get them sight unseen lol I may regret that later...
Anyways I just finished Dark Angels um I think thats the name about a chick who finds out she's part of an order. Its by alawar. I loved it at first and then as time went on it got boring. I rated it 3 stars. I always get bored with order games except for league of the light...love that series. I finished Dark Lands-Lost Lord CE (oops its lost lands, dark lord LOL)...think that is the name lol and I loved it. I overlooked it but it was what I consider a 5 ster game. Any CE I actually want to play the bonus for is 5 stars. Usually Im so bored and over it, I just dump them.
I am playing Delicious Emilys New Beginning PE and I have to say I am a little disappointed. Now that I have played every single one in the series, I realize they are all tweaked a bit especially from true love on, I loved the wedding one as I loved the mini games that were invitations but the honeymoon one wasn't all that fun and this one with the baby is kind of annoying. I hate how you have to tend to the baby and also I find it extremely hard now that I have to choose a menu because I have come to realize there are only a few ways to get expert and that has to do with tips. IF you have 70% of elderly people come in, they give the lowest tips so you can't have things that are just in their favor but have to adjust it to the people who come in less frequently during the day. I like strategy games like this but since this series has never been like this, well I don't like the change. Too much thought in what was a relaxing but against the clock kind of game. It was mindless which I love sometimes but this isn't and well I don't like it as much for whatever reason. I feel the same about the new Gardens Inc. Its way harder for some reason and I can never finish things on time but I do love that series so I am going to beat it no matter what lol
Now onto real life. James and I found an apartment. We have already paid for it and are slowly moving our things in. We have a moving day of march 28th but we have the keys now. I am amazed at how inexpensive it is to live up here compared to where I was living before. Our apartment is a 2bdr, 1 bath huge 1920s-30s type building with tons of built ins and character (my fav) and it includes a washer/dryer which is usually unheard of. I think in san francisco or the bay area in general this apartment could go for $4000+ as studios are $1500 right now. However our apartment is $999/mo and for this area its bout $100-200 over what people usually pay but for a washer/dryer inside the unit, hardwood floors, the cuteness of the apartment itself and the area, I think its a steal. And even though the landlord didn't want pets, he said he'd let us get a kitten ;)
And the best part is...its an area that gets high speed internet!!! So i can finally get out of this slow internet area. I think most people here don't mind it but coming from the bay area where its dominated by silicon valley and the birth of high speed everything, it was quite a shock and even though I have adjusted, it annoys me to wait over an hour or more for a 1gb game to download. It took 10 minutes in the bay area lol
anyways hope everyone is great and I will check in more once we move. Own place, home all day and have a ridiculous number of games to get through.
oh right now I am playing the awakening series. I was halfway thru sunhook spire when it decided to die so I am playing that again. Funny thing is, I played it so long ago that I don't even remember the parts I am replaying.
now back to my boxes..ughhhh
xx

Meg is this the apartment you had told us about before? Regardless, congrats to you and James on your new home! It is an exciting time for you both.
I may have to use ABE again to pick up a couple more games. decisions decisions. And who knows, there may not be as many sales with the new ownership. Although let's face it, why shouldn't there be. The product they are selling is programming, it's there for the dl. Half is better than zero!

I need to chose 2 CE's. I've already picked out the two games to use my pcc's on: Mosaic: Game of Gods and Regency Solitaire. Unless something I want more gets released on Monday.

Just now finished Mushroom Age, finally, and for me, it was a very strange game. Wonder if they dreamed about talking mushrooms in their sleep. I enjoyed a lot of the puzzles, esp the ones with the bouncing ball that you had to use to clear out others in random patterns and the laser beams that had to be aligned to light all the balls. Both took a while but eventually got them all.
Also finished Hidden in Time: Mirror Mirror which was fun; HOS scenes were interesting and finding glass shards in hidden boxes was a unique touch. Loved doing the puzzles where you had to direct the light beams into the mirror for the clue. Finished Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases and enjoyed it more than the first one.
Need to get back to Mystery Trackers: Raincliff ~ it's definitely harder than the first one and find myself going all over the place trying to figure out where they want me to go and what to do. Also started my next oldie, Dream Chronicles: The Chosen Child. I've played the first two but it's been a long time and forgotten how pretty they were but trying to get the pattern correct in the Nexus to open up more doors is eating my lunch. Don't like to skip so just keep trying to get it.

meg -- Congrawts on the apt! It sounds really nice.
Tirama -- I want REGENCY SOLITAITRE too. Grey Alien Games asked if we could buy from them. I looked at the site but it would be $9.99 and you have to set up yet another account. I was hoping it was something like happens with Boomzap -- you click buy on the site and it loops you back to BFG. I think I have 2 more CEs I want. One for sure.
tee -- Everyone kept telling me what a great game MUSHROOM AGE was. I thought it was okay. Maybe it was great when it was released and I just played it too many years afterwards. I started MYSTERY TRACKERS: RAINCLIFF once and didn't get very far into it and gave up.. Maybe I should just skip that one and try the next.

Tee, I'll be starting Raincliff after I finished this Haunted Hotel. Which I must say I have a great wallpaper from that has a tree house. A little spooky, looks great. I figured the cats from A Christmas Carol could go away for now.
I took a look at Regency Soliatire and I'm going to be a copy cat and get it as well. It looks beautiful. But sorry Grey Alien its a pcc for me. Perhaps if it was half that price I would purchase from them to support him as I do like his some of his past games. I can't tell you how many times I have completed Fairway. And Spooky Bonus (didnt like the Xmas one though it wasn't special like Spooky).
I'm definitely going ot get Dangerous Illusions, I really liked the first one and I think Haunted Hotel Ancient Bane. I'm really enjoying Hauned Hotel Eclipse.
I may just play games all weekend. I have some work to do as I have to lay another employee off temporarily, construction seems to have shut down for the month. And it is tax season coming up, I need to prep for that. Plus I have a miniseries I want to watch Book of Negroes. Did it play on American TV? It aired on a Canadian channel, I beleive a Canadian production and was written by a local man. If you haven't read this book, put it on your list it was very very good. I hope the miniseries is.

What's it like to play a regular game? It's been so long I've forgotten. My Gamehouse funpass is just sitting there unused along with all the BFG games I've boughten ??? guess the word is bought, but that's so funny I'm leaving it in. These darn FTPs.

.
This is a great game! It's old, old-fashioned, with straight-list HOSs (no interaction) and HOSs where you trigger something in a scene and a ring erupts from it with those items you have to find in the scene, neither of which are all that easy. But it's heaps of fun and has heaps of easy but fun minigames. It also plays really quickly as there isn't much back and forth at all - you just go from HOS to fun minigame to HOS to fun minigame
I recommend this game ... I played it ages ago but just tried it again, obstensibly for just a few mins to check it worked, but just kept on playing and playing! ... and it's FREE !

Oscar, I played Regency Solitaire 2 or 3 weeks ago with my FunPass. I really liked it but the story definitely outshines the gameplay. It starts really slowly and is really easy but becomes more and more fun as the game progresses. If you like novels like Pride and Prejudice, and golf solitaire games, then you should love this one. I also got an email from the developers with a link to a site where you can play dress ups with Bella (the main character in the game), just like I used to do with cardboard dolls - and it's offered free! It's really simple but it was fun to do once. I thought that was very nice of them.
As for Dangerous Illusions, I definitely won't be getting it as a CE. The game didn't rock my boat at all but I liked the puzzles and HOPs so I'll be getting the SE just for those. As for the CE, apart from the usual extras (wallpapers, etc.), the only other extras are replayable MGs (not HOPs) and 20 collectible, morphing cards. However, the cards only ** give you a very simple explanation of how some magic tricks work (and I already knew them all) ** and that's it. They're also really easy to spot and, as there was one per scene, I imagine there are only 20 scenes and thus it may be a very short game. There aren't many achievements, either (although I liked the way they were displayed), and they're all the usual ones. So no CE for me.

Well boo to that! Sounds like a pcc game instead. The Taken Souls game at GH, what are the Extras in the PE?
I am playing Raincliff and I'm just at the stage where th first fella has been dragged in to the sewer and I need those gloves!
