About the codes -- Someone on another board said she used them and they worked! I haven't tried them. Yesterday BFG had a CE code for $8.99 games.
There's been some chat about THE EMPTINESS too. That's it's a very creepy/scary game. One person warned not to look at te picturtes (on te wall?) too closely. She said she got a major fright.

Finally, finished Lost in the City. For me, that was one of the strangest games I've ever played. It was a mix of a KGB type mind game, Sci Fi bleakness. Some of the game play was ok and I liked some of the sphere puzzles. You definitely got your money's worth and after reading some of the reviews on the BFG forum, there was a lot of love/hate it reactions. If I had demo'd it, probably would not have bought it but glad it's done and marked as "finished". Also have the sequel so if it's similar, may trash it.

Tee, I've played both Losts. Gameplay is fairly similar, the story is about getting out of the city/finding other people, and I"m thinking maybe an explanation about what happened. Same bleakish atmosphere. Don't know whether to advise playing the sequel or not, it's that kinda game.
I've never played an "off the record".
Don't know if I want to rejoin for the sale or not. I only have 3 GCCs. I have a bunch of PCCs, I'll have to check if they expire in Feb. or March. Have to see if there's enough games that I want. I also need to get ahold of Gamehouse again, they sent me 2 coupons, that would cover Oct/Nov and Nov/Dec. They owe me the Dec/Jan one and soon the Jan/Feb one. It's very annoying.

I finished Mountain Trap Manor of Memories. It was a pretty good game, lots of wandering around and it would be good to draw yourself a map with what tasks are where. I did have to use the hint a lot just to confirm there was nothing to do in the room. There were a couple of things that I didn't even see, plus a few things that the hint told you to do that I had already tried unsuccessfully, that's always annoying. It does say it is to be continued but it came out 2 years ago so I don't see any sequel and its the only game I see associated with Colour Brush Studios. A good solid 4+ hrs of play. A nice journal as well, but a hand drawn map is defo a plus if you are going to play.

I just used up my 2 credits on Shiver: Lily's Requiem CE & Lost Lands: The Four Horseman CE. Used the ABE code for CE's and it worked. Think I might also get The Emptiness with a pcc today.

Totally blown my budget for the month, I picked up(with ABE and a PCC):
Myths of the World Black Rose CE
Shrouded Tales the Spellbound Land CE
Dark Realm Queen of Flames CE
Mystery Tales The Twilight World CE
Love Chronicles A Winter's Spell CE
Living Legends Wrath of the Beast CE
Mystery of the Ancients Deadly Cold CE
Off the Record Art of Deceptio CE
Graven The Purple Moon Prophcy
I'm currently playing Amaranthine Voyage The Shadow of Torment CE. Didn't someone else play this recently? I'm really enjoying it.

I'm waiting to see what CE's will be released this week before I decide whether to get any more CE's this month, and if so, when.
I know I want to get Mosaic: Game of Gods, a Patchworkz type game, but I'll have to wait to see what else I'm getting to figure out how to fill the punch cards.

Tirama...Since you mentioned Mosaic: Game of Gods was like Patchworkz I did a quick demo of it. I though that It is almost as good as Patchworkz except that it has like MarkAllen said in the reviews New Age music with singing. Not my style and I don't think I could take it for the whole game. You can turn down the music, but I think for myself I will pass on this one.
I have been playing some of The Emptiness. A few startling moments and a jump in the chair. I am on the third word right now. It is like escape the room type of games, which I don't usually buy except that this one was so different and that it has been quite challenging so far
Well I did buy Lost in the City, but that was a DD and I was deceived on all the good reviews for it. I agree with Teeitup and thought it was a strange game and definitely a love it or hate it game. I am glad I didn't get Lost in the City: Post Scriptum even though I was thinking about it at one time.

Apart from briefly going grocery shopping, I've been playing a new CE at GameHouse, Taken Souls - Blood Ritual Platinum Edition, all day - so far 5h 45m - and it's driving me crazy!
If you want a game that's nothing like the current trend of super easy puzzles that you complete in 3 clicks without even having to use the little old grey cells, then this is your game. I've already had to skip 2 puzzles - which I NEVER do and HATE to do - as, the first one I just kept on moving the planets around and around the sun without ever getting them anywhere near to lining up and gave up after an hour, and the 2nd one, I didn't understand the instructions, tried every combination I could think of that could possibly fit the instructions, nothing worked, so I gave up - and, as the SG doesn't open, there's no way to check what you're actually supposed to do.
The HOSs are straight lists, however, you have 4 items that are morphing objects ... but there are 12 objects in the HOS that continuously morph, all at different times! So it's like the entire HOS is constantly changing, making it very distracting just trying to find the 8 normal items, let alone the 4 that morph!
You also have to check EVERYWHERE for inventory and evidence items, and the BBTs don't really tell you much when you click on something!
I don't want to use the hint (especially as I don't know if there's an achievement for using no hints, as you don't know what the achievements are until you get them), I just use the map which tells you where you still need to do something, although you don't always know what that is. You just have to check every corner of the scene, or, if you have an active area but have no idea what to do, try all your inventory items.
There's also an evidence board, which gets added to as you add things - and you have to decide where everything goes! And you have to take photos in each scene, and, if you don't, then those things won't get added to your diary/evidence board. You also use a UV light to find footprints and handprints in each scene in order to upgrade your equipment to speed up the Skip, or make it easier to find the prints or take photos, etc. It takes a while getting used to the gameplay and mechanics of the game but once you do, wow. It starts out as an ordinary murder mystery but then changes totally - but I won't spoil the surprise.
In other words, very interesting story, great graphics, super hard puzzles, multitudinous morphing HOSs, fascinating gameplay with so many things to do (camera, UV light, evidence board, laboratory machine, conspiracy ... oops, said too much) ...
In other words, it's BRILLIANT!
Made by the developers of Apothecarium, one of my all-time fav games!
Unless you want it, there is absolutely NO handholding in this game!
GameHouse has the premiere rights for a month, so BFG should get it in 3 weeks or so. And I definitely recommend you at least demo it.
And, what's even better, I wrote to CS, asking about the non-existant SG (there's a tab for it with "Guide" written very faintly) and, after a couple of very weird emails, I'm getting 2 replacement coupons! And all I did was ask if it was a glitch and if it was going to be fixed as I'd bought the game. Woo Hoo!

Stuesue, you talk abut weird emails. I got tons of them from GH, amd now they have closed my account that was valid until April 11th!!!
It all started with that I, by mistake, clicked on the buttton for monthly payments in the email about it because I thought it was only information regarding it. When I recieved the confirmation email it all started. This was in December!
I tried to cancel the monthly payment, and in the beginning the first mails didn´t even answer the question. Somewhere in all this they discovered that I had dual accounts on my email address, I then asked them to cancel the dual account and only have the annual Fun Pass remaining. Now they have canceled both my accounts!!!
Today I recieved another nonsense email and this time I wasn´t as polite as usual
I wait for the response this time and see what the answer is now...
I guess I have to start a new subscription...
Before they cancelled I had time to finish Mystery Castle: The Mirrors Secret. It was fun but very hard to recognize where to put things.I really liked the graphics! I noticed that I got Achievements but I couldn´t find them anywhere.
I also finished Regency Solitaire. I loved it! I played it in two sittings, and it was very long
