Tirama you're right about it being easier to do the HOS without the minis open but I get sick and tired of trying to get resources to build the museum buildings so I have opened some of them.  I can't imagine getting these buildings to level 5 either.  They are SO resource intensive (even at level 1).

I've got a system going so I don't get bored or frustrated.  I play the first country Italy 4 times (once in each mode), then Egypt 4 times, then Indonesia 4 times, then Antartica 4 times.  I've recently added Argentina to the circuit but I dodn't have all 4 modes opened yet, so I play either 3 or 4 times.  I have each country at the point where the mode I play is faster shopper, so when I get back to that mode again, I know I've played 4 times.  Of course, I keep an eye on my fuel supply while doing this.

After I make the rounds, I see what collectibles can be assembled.  Only then do I check to see if any building can be upgraded.  If so, good.  If not, maybe next time.  Next I send keys and then if I feel like it, do another circut or if I need a break, go play something else.

I'll get done when I get done.  For all I know, this update might be all we get the entire year.

I just managed to scrape together some more thread and got 2 more blueprint pieces from Teodi.  Still need 3 more: the one in the 14 thread game, and the 2 in the 18 thread game.

I wonder why Teodi's is such a bear?  I went in with over 450 and had to buy/turn in collections to get another 100.  I've read in the Forums that some people have used over 1000 before getting all the pieces.  The others seem to drop in a straight forward manner.

I have no idea.  Reminds my when we were first going for moon fountain tea mix in AK and the drop rate was something like play 10-15 times to get 1 tea and we needed 12 of them.

I don't know how many threads I've used and I don't want to know.  Tomorrow I'll scrape together some more and try again.

Just got enough stuff to get another foundation done, so I've got  building number 6 getting framed.   By the time the game asks me for glass or roof tiles, I should already have what I need.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You guys are way ahead of me, I don't have any idea what all the blueprint stuff is.  I'm not playing much, obviously.  I think I stalled on a quest for map pieces after I got the car photos.  So it sounds like I need to collect lots of stuff for the thread collections, eh?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I worked on the map pieces today but the last one I needed was in the Toy Shop which is still being done in pirate.  It should finish 2 hours after Valentine's starts.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Ugh!  I can see I'm not going to get into the Valentine spirit, doing all those quests again.  I've got 100 gold collections in reserve so I don't really need any more.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I investigated my situation some more.
WendyDarling who is stuck because I don't have the gloves to get into Margarets house, has Easter collectables and Christmas collectables but no Valentine's ones.  I'm just going to ignore her.
Travolta's seems to have all the collectables so I will play that one just enough to even up collections, as there were several that I only got one of and closed the quest.
Shagcat has only been around since I got my laptop over the summer so he doesn't have any collectables and needs the gold so I will concentrate on that game.  That ought to keep my blood pressure lower

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got 20 of today's quest in Shagcat and went over to Travoltas.  He had the most of today's flowers so I've been working on the AES sign cause my pirate theme is complete.  I got to the part where we have to fly.  I can't quite keep enough fuel in stock.  I've been doing the 1 fuel places, I can maybe get up to 3 fuel in reserve but the quest wants me to go to a 3 fuel place and I want more than 3 fuels cause I probably won't get any the first few times I play a place.  Egypt is so pretty but I can't tell the difference between items very well and the oriental place is just such a junkpile I hate it.  I seem to do the best for fuel in Italy, it gives me 2 every now and then.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm going to spend whatever time I have to play this game playing the toy store to get the gerbera. The flower collection is the one I'll concentrate on to get a lot of gold.  Just have to play toy stoe, the yacht, and remember not to close the quest when the violets finally appear in Christmas Alley
