sunshine, I played Drawn in Aug.12 and in a notebook I use to make notes on games, I wrote "strange story, beautiful graphics, used WT often, not sure what was expected, most puzzles doable but some hard and had to skip." Whenever I decide to play that series, most likely will replay from the start.
.
Yes, It is a strange story and one that keeps me on my toes. I'm never sure where next it is going to take me. The puzzles have been real thinkers, so far. I going to tackle the 3 stone circle one tonight.
Speaking of strange stories - I abandoned Lost in the City awhile back. Just took a look today to see what chapter I was on. Chapter 28. I think you mentioned 40 chapters. I might just have to fit this in sometime to complete it.
stusue...Man, that's cold. I hope you don't run out of heating oil before the next delivery. Good thing you have your small heater. I usually keep the house at 68F during the day and 62F at night. This house does not hold the heat in very well. We have been getting snow almost everyday too. I was telling my husband yesterday that this time last month we barely had any snow and now finding it hard to shovel the driveway since the mounds are so high up next to it.

No, I'm not gonna do it, I'm not gonna do it, nope, not me!
Nope, I am NOT gonna check out the SG for the string puzzle, nope.
But after having to resort to paper and pen for the maths puzzle, and having crashed my plane I don't know how many times on the Eiffel Tower, on the clouds, on the mountains, and having to go back to London so many times before I managed to get to India, and having had to get up and leave the computer during at least 3 other puzzles today to clear my head before I tackled them again, can I really hold out with this stupid string puzzle?
Oh boy is Shiver 4: The Lily's Requiem CE great! Hardly any adventure; it's all really long, challenging HOPs (some very original) and some super challenging (ie. super frustrating but what a feeling when you FINALLY get them out!) puzzles. I even like doing up my room for when I've finished my adventure and settled down to restarting my medical practice, as it gives me a break from all those HOPs and puzzles. And Marmaduke even amuses me when I feed him and check out all the new decorations I've found for his fishtank, as it also gives me a bit of a break. And I think I just got the medal for finding 100 black pearls!
So far I'm so glad I got the CE so I get my room to go to for a bit of a break, as well as collecting all the collectibles (black pearls which aren't as easy to find as one thinks, and decorations for my fish tank, which I normally only find by clicking on absolutely everything in every scene as they're really well hidden), and you can also replay all the HOPs (and possibly the puzzles?) and also play Battleship and a pinball machine. It'll all depend on the bonus chapter but at the moment I don't want this game to finish so I'm really looking to the bonus chapter, even though I haven't yet burnt all the lilies to defeat the siren. But before I can do that I have to work out this stupid string puzzle!
And I am NOT gonna check out the SG, nope!

I just went straight back to the game, back to that stupid string puzzle, and it suddenly all looked so clear to me that I just moved a few strings et voilà, it was done!
Gees I'm good!
And so modest!

Isn't that weird. If I find I'm going in circles I do that too. Stop and regroup. Another thing that works for me sometimes, an odd thing, works when I can't find an item in an HO scene too. I turn my head and look at it peripherally. sometimes just that different perspective helps. I know I know.
As for 40F.! Brrr. I keep my house temp set the same as Sun does for day and night. That Aussie blood must retain the sunshine!
I started playing Mountain Trap Manor of Memories. So far it's quite interesting. A rather chilly atmosphere. Very desolate in and an empty ski resort.

I have to laugh, a few months ago I was trying to remember a game I had played, I gave a brief synopsis and couldn't remember it, no one else could pinpoint it either. Well I just watched the video for the new Mystery of the Ancients and tada it was this game and the beta I did, except I think I may have stirred my storyline a bit. But it was definitely this game.

50F? and now 40 because your heating oil is low? Yikes! And I thought I kept my heat down with it at 63F during the day and 56F when I go to bed!

Hi all!
I´m finally back again
On January the 10th we had a terrible storm and even thunder (in January!!!!) and we lost our telephone and Internet. We didn´t get it back until yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine 27 days without Internet
Luckily I had a bunch of games downloaded, so I have been very productive...
Yesterday my computer nearly burned (hehe), after work I was downloading demos constantly.
A much belated Thanks for your birthday wishes!
These are the games I finished:
Gizmos- Riddle of the Universe. I really like this serie!
Christmas Stories 3 : Hans Christian Andersen´s Tin Soldier CE. Very good!
Weird Park:The Final Show. Didn´t like it at all, boring. Played just to finish it.
Magic Cards Solitaire. Just OK.
Paranormal Pursuit: The Gifted One CE. Loved the graphics. Good.
Mayan Prophecies 3: Blood Moon CE. Rather fun.Liked the graphics and the puzzles, but the other ones were better.
Gizmos: Spririt Of The Christmas. Always fun, but I found this one harder to get gold on, sometimes I had to replay more than once
Whispered Secrets 3-Into the Wind. Disappointed as I loved the other ones.
Amaranthine Voyage 3: The Shadow of Torment.Loved it!!!
Danse Macabre 2 : Moulin Rouge. Good, but the first one was better.
I told you I was productive
I guess I have a lot of reading back to do, but I hope I haven´t missed anything important.
Oscar, I even finally was able to get Township working

Hello Anki It is nice to see you back. 27 days without the internet, Yikes! You sure did put your time to good use though.
oscar...Well at least now you know what game you were thinking about. Funny how sometimes you just come across the answer.
I finished Lost Legends: The Weeping Woman. What a great game and I much enjoyed it. I got the SE and the ending was complete, so no cliffhangers but I think I would have liked the CE on this one. First off it was so pretty that I bet the wallpapers were really good and the CE had morphing flowers and collectible skulls and from what I read in the reviews the bonus was a completely different lost legend.
For Drawn: The Painted Tower I found a helpful post from cesse47 that tells me how to do the puzzle and I now know the principle of it, doing it correctly is another matter. I spent 30 minutes tinkering with it and almost had it. Tonight I am going back in to tackle it again. At this point I am not going to throw in the towel. I can get this.
