Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

My laptop has win 8.1 and I can see it.  It's not a touch screen, though.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I can see it, I think the laptop is win7.  I don't like it, though.  I started playing Paranormal State Poison Springs PE but haven't gotten very far yet.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I am undecided about it.  I don't really like change all that much and with that grayed out teeny tiny Get Game Tips button, they are really minimizing their own game forums and I don't like the direction that is headed.

Oscar...How you enjoying The Void?  For a older game I thought it was really well done and a lot of fun.

stusue...Someone who has win8.1 mentioned that they changed the screen resolution to 1680x1050 and that worked for them.

I was intrigued by the warning on The Emptiness game and I didn't have time to do demo so found a walkthrough on youtube about game and watch some of that.  It looks like you go around the house to open up doors.  I'll have to watch the forum to see what others have to say about it.

I don't think the new layout is to minimize the use of the foums.  The link is up there on the same line as the Facebook, Google+, and Tweet links, not to mention the gift this game link.

I have my screen resolution at 1920  x 1080.  Under control panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display I have it set for medium (125%) and the box is checked for 'Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays.'

Yikes!  I finally saw what you all are talking about!  I had to search for the  {get game tips" button.  It does show on my screen, but it IS teeny tiny!  I always used to go to the Forums to check reviews anyway.  And the new format will take a bit of getting used to.

You are probably right.  It sure got people posting about it today.  I do wish that they would switch it with the gift this game link though.  Twice now I hit the gifting link instead of the game tips link.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Sunshine - I am loving playing The Void.  It is such a clean looking game and it has been a lot of fun.  I'm in the subway right now.  And yup, the journal is helpful and well done.  I do like when they use it for clues or in MCF little puzzles.  I do like how The Void has you do puzzles to unlock HO scenes.  I have found the objects quite cleverly hidden and I find myself inspecting the whole scene to find that one last item.  I noticed in one scene a wrench that the business end was actually a hand.  It is really well done.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I'm enjoying Paranormal state Poison springs.  That makes me really happy because I haven't been getting into the regular HO games lately.  Maybe it's because I'm moved and don't have to stress anymore or maybe it's the game.  It has a eerie atmosphere with creaks and scary, tense music and sometimes stuff jumps.  And there's people in it, too.  I'm part of a team and I actually interact with them, although it seems like I'm having to do most of the work...  I'm on my laptop, the one I bought cause it had a 17 inch screen instead of 15 in.  But after getting used to 24 in monitor the screen seems really small.  I'm kinda reclining and making it a chest top instead of a laptop, lol.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I finished The Void and I'm glad I replayed it.  It was so enjoyable.  And I did get about 5 hours of play out of it.  I will dl Raincliff to have in the dock.

I have three puzzles left in Gizmo Universe.  I wanted to finish it tonight but I'm just too tired, I kept making the same (I think) mistake.

Oscar...Did that troll startle you the second time played like it did for me.  I looked down a upstairs hallway and saw it and said "What the heck is that!"
