I get that every time I see a post directed to Sue, I think I don't remember that...I'm a Sue too.
Oh hello to you, Sue!

Yes that's one of my boys. Always remembered in my forum name and I love that pic of him, he looks so happy.

I'm exhausted. I treked all the way up Sunhook Spire this morning, and this evening, I walked all over Apothecarium! What a day! LOL
I really enjoyed Sunhook Spire. Beautiful art, fun puzzles, and a nice variety of HOS. It took me about 6.5 hours total, and 1.5 hours of that was the bonus game, and it never got boring, so that's a plus.
Apothecarium was just so-so for me. Again, lovely art, but most games have lovely art these days. I am always in awe of the artists who draw these games. I loved most of the puzzles, and the morphing items in the HOS was a cool idea, but kind of glitchy, at least in my game. Sometimes the morphing item would stay blinking on my screen even after I clicked it. And one of my biggest pet peeves in games is when you have to find "book", and there's 3 books in the scene, and it would only accept one (which in this case looked more like a deck of cards). And this happened several times, like with "bottle" or "sword". The biggest negative for me, though, is that the game crashed right at the end, so I'm not sure that I finished it. The game says I did, but I'm not sure. Still, I enjoyed it for the most part, as it had some very creative ideas.

I finished Apothecarium: The Renaissance of Evil. I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the beautiful, crisp and clear graphics especially in the HOS. I loved that it had lots of locations to explore. I had no problems with the HOS. I loved all the puzzles, there were puzzles in the main game as well as special chests that you find with puzzles in them...solving those gives you a surprise box to open. I like that there are collectibles and achievements even tough it is a SE. In every scene there are coins to collect. At the end of the game, there is the bonus section where you can replay the puzzles, HOS and chests, if you so choose.
I am sorry that Noelle and oscar did not really care for the game. I thought it was great.....to each his own. I managed to get all the achievements except for one.....it must be the one where no hints are used and I admit I used it sometimes just to find out where to go next when I'm stuck.
Next game I will play is Reveries: Sisterly Love CE.

hey Ali or Alien.....you said you would answer to anything except candle ends or toasted cheese? LOL
that reminds me of what my DH used to say...."you can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner!!" He also liked to make up words all the time and when I said that there is no such word in the dictionary, he would say it is a Johnism !! (his name was John)

Wow! You were really fast with APOTHECARIUM! I finally finished HIDDEN MYSTERIES: SALEM SECRETS. It was a semi-interesting game but the colors were so drab (but, I guess, fit the story). I'm starting AWAKENING: THE GOBLIN KINGDOM. I'm looking for a straight HOG to play when i don't have much time or just want a rest from HOPAs.

Woke up to an ERS sale and on Bonus Punch Monday. I bought two games Reveries: Sisterly Love and the Twilight Phenomena: Strange Menagerie. I didn't get my bonus punches.
lilyr...I thought Hidden mysteries: Salem Secrets was the one I just got done playing, but it was Lost Chronicles: Salem that I just finished. You play a young girl trying to free your mother after she was accused of witchcraft. What was funny was when you came across an animal you would bring out a dreamcatcher to scare the animal away. Anyone from that time period saw you doing that you would be accused as a witch in no time.
oscar...I like your solitude in a snowstorm quote. I love taking walks in the snow and how hush everything is.
