I did try Farm Up, (after reading your post) the gameplay is just not for me. I'm just don't want to have to wait for energy I guess nor do quests. I've never played Sims. however I love platform games and I have a PS2, PS3, XBox and Wii. I tend to play games like the Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper and then more active games on XBox like bowling or dance games. On my Wii I only have MCF Margrave Incident and one other, the rest are from the prior system which I can still play. I gave a lot of that stuff away. I will say however, that I play these systems much less than I used to and not much lately as none of my inputs work on this TV, I think something happened when the TV was moved internally, so I need to move all my game systems in to the other room where my other TV sits. I tend to only watch DVDs on it.

Wendy -- I remember you telling us about your garden in the game. It really did sound wonderful.
Tee -- I'm pretty sure BFG has at least one SIMS game. I must have played it from there. I know I didn't buy any in Walmart.

I finished Mystery Trackers: Black Isle. So far I have been enjoying these Mystery Trackers games a lot. This one had a lot of fun puzzles to do and game flow was just right. Not super easy and not super hard. The story wasn't too bad either. Next up is Mystery Trackers: Four Aces.

I finished Lost Souls: Enchanted Paintings CE and enjoyed it a lot. I figured it was fairly easy and short since I started it Wed. and finished yesterday. The graphics were beautiful and I enjoyed each of the different realms reached via the paintings. Only used the SG once and even though the lost little boy wasn't mentioned much during the game, I can see how the SE probably left everyone hanging.
Going to jump back to one of my oldies, Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse. I vaguely remember starting this when I got it in Dec. 09 but apparently was lured by something more enticing. For the time, the graphics were probably pretty good but now they look dated (fuzzy) compared to the game I just played.

Ok I defintiely need to,go back to the Mystery Trackers. The Void was first wasn't it?
Tee I remeber really liking that Pincess Isabella series. And I like the painting aspect of the first Lost Souls. I can't recall whether I've played the second. Once I have played a game I tend to put it out of my head unless it was a corker! Cadenza has still stayed with me as have a couple of other favourites.

I found in my list I trashed Phantasmat Crucible so I defiitely have to demo the new one before I entertain purchasing it. Just because it's Eipix doesn't mean it's better for me. Last night I was a little tired so I decided to just do a sneak peak from BFG and it started the new 1000 doors which I liked very much but couldn't play past about 15 minutes. major glitch in it and hitting the hint just redirected me to things I had done already. Round and round we went. And then stupidly I opened Gizmos. I hit those 30 boards whoa! After my third go at one board I decided bedtime.

I remember when the Void was released, some people were claiming it was a rip off of Ravenhearst because it was set in the same house And the when Raincliff was released, the same people claimed it was a rip off of Dire Grove because it involved rescuing four students.
I thought it was interesting how two different developers took the same jumping off point (huse, four students0 and came up with such different story lines. I really loved the journal in The Void and wish developers would go back to having a journal that contained the clues.
Princess Isabella always struck me as the poor man's version of Awakening, which is odd because Isabella was released first. But I think BoomZap did a better job with their storyine for their princess. I like assmebling the mirror pieces in Isabella, but wanted to throttle that fairy helper every time she would say in an alarmed voice "That can break!" We were supposed to break things, so why all the angst?
I'm still working on Asian Riddles 3. The puzzles in this one are more difficult than in the previous two, IMO. I'm having to search for contraditions to solve rather than the simpler techniques.

Tirama...It never occured to me that Dire Grove & Raincliff were two games that had the same starting point. 4 students missing and also the wintery weather, because they are so completely different games storywise. I also, loved the journal in The Void. It was extremely well done. I enjoyed just perusing it to see what new stuff was written.
Oscar...Yes, The Void is the first one in the series. I think I mentioned before that it is heavy on the HO scenes. Raincliff and Black Isle were not.
teeitup...Princess Isabella was like the 8th game I purchased from Big Fish. I thought it was the coolest game back then where the castle is all dark & dingy and you go around making it all bright & shiny. So for that reason alone the Princess Isabella games are special too me. I do think that the Awakening games have more depth to them
I went over to my mom's this morning to help her on a few games that she was stuck on. One was Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena - which I was able to get her over the stuck part.
MCF: 13th Skull - trying to find cheese to put on the mousetraps in the wine celler. Found 1 and need to find two more.
Twisted Lands: Shadow Town - Got her over the stuck part until we hit the next puzzle where you had to figure out which signs of the zodiac signs were fire, air, earth and water. Nothing in the journal to tell you. I said maybe you could look them up in a dictionary. Which we did and that was useless. For example under Virgo all it said was it was part of the zodiac. Duh! No internet access at my folks house so I said I would check it out at home and get back to her.

Tirama I agree about Asian Riddles 3. They are harder, I think I have two or three more "rooms" to go. Plus I have been playing some of the older Fanatsy Mosaic games and have come across some of those puzzles where there is guesswork when you've been down near the end, no logic to figure out those couple of squares.
Oh Gawd I forgot about that irritating little fairy!

sunshine, the scenes you mentioned in Princess Isabella were what I was thinking about the graphics, to see the change from dusky to bright and shiny probably was amazing for back then. I had to re-DL to my computer and while it was doing that I looked at the forum thread for PI and people really disliked the fairy ~ the voice, the flitting across the screen with sparkles (not good for migrane sufferers) ~ guess she was one of the first "helpers" that people love to hate. I usually go to the threads after I play a game to see what others thought about it so I'm not too swayed or influenced before I play it myself.
oscar, there are just some games that seem to stick with you for a while ~ Cadenza is also one of my favorites, Madame Fate (my first), Nearwood CE (the opening scene I could watch over and over), and of course, City of Fools for its' quirkiness and our group play.
Tirama, I guess the Awakening FTP is actually based on the Awakening series, right? Since I only started the first one ages ago and don't remember it, it will be a new experience. So many series to try out, it's like opening presents every time I start a new one. Plus, my experience level is higher, although I still get stuck when I logically can't figure something out, so I love having more time to really enjoy the games, not just bits here and there.
