Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

lily - Monika answered my post and teh Valentine's Day quests are a repeat of last year's quests.  So we should be able to earn some gold and then we can think about whether we want to hand it over to speed up the museum or continue to wait it out.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Even though TRAIN ROUNDHOUSE doesn't cost too much I don't want to keep wasting coins.  The comb was on my list twice when it was under the sword.

Part (a small part) of my problems with this game are my own fault:  I didn't wait a day or two and read the forums before installing AND I didn't take a look around before starting the museum upgrade.  But I certainly didn't think it would take 100 days.

If the Valentine's quests are the same will those of us who have completed them be able to do them this year?

Thanks for responding about the iPad.  I just said that the iPad is one update behind the PC.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Monika sais it would be a chance for those who completed them last year to earn gold.  So we need to find the list of where each collectible was a figure out the easiest collection to complete and just focus on  that one.  LIke we did with that blasted turtle at Easter.

I just hope that this time I get the quest to find whatevr it was at Captain Mathhew's fishing plac eand take it to the yacht so I can open up the last mini scene there.

Speaking of gold ... I just played the gold slot to get the 2nd airplane part in the Arcade and it only took me 4 or 5 tries.  Maybe they've increased the drop rate.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Two of my games are all screwed up.  I go in collections, it shows I've cashed in the sets for the paintings multiple times and yet I have no paintings in one game and two paintings in another.  I get a DQ for a minigame, it says I have to be conneseur, or pro in a city, I go to the city and I'm a trainee, never played it before.  And in the game that does seem to be working, that I'm doing the door quest on, it wants me to obtain 3 car pictures.  I already have them, I've bought them outright at auction, and I've won them by bidding at auction and I don't get any credit for the quest.  Gonna have to check out the forum for that one.  Oh, I got a wheelbarrow of building supplies!!!  Oh, and I had to play that turtle for a DQ today!!!

ETA:  Just went and looked at the forum, they say to go to the HOs to get the cars.  When I had pressed the 'proceed' button it took me to the auction house

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

While I was over there I read your post, Lily, about not being able to fix the engine.  It was hard to figure out where the plane pieces go.  I feel so bad for you and Tirama, my other two games are whack, but the other  seems to be going well, I have the plane fixed and can fly around to the new places and now I have the AES door quests going.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Thanks for the sympathy Wendy.  I finally got the plane fixed with the help of Oddly.  So far I've been to Ital and Egypt.  I'm trying to win enough fuel so I don't have to buy much.  That doesn't seem to be working too well though.  I started with 7 and am down to 3.  On the bright side by the time the museum is open I should have enough supplies to build the other buildings.

I had read about the car pictures  mis-directing people to the auctions.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got that give me your resources dq last night.  So I really don't understand what the problem is with the dq's.  Monika claims the new ones aren't being triggered and that's why we're getting the old auction dq's. But people have received the resources dq, which is new.

Have to wonder if the Valentine quests will be triggered.

Somebody sent me a pm about the fuel.  Said to keep playing the first two cities over and over until guru is achieved and you'll always have plenty of fuel.

I just don't feel like playing this game.  I'm tired and maybe burnt out.

I got the resources DQ and a few mini-game DQs.  I'm enjoying playing Italy and Egypt.  I'll keep playing those two until I get to where I don't need to buy fuel.

Are you sleeping okay Tirama?  A day or so ago you said yiou were tired and not sleeping.  {{{Tirama}}}

I got 7 hours of sleep last night.  Beats the usual 3-4 I've been averaging.  Tuesday is the day DH usually goes to the doctor.  It felt good not to be on pins and needles waiting to hear the results of the blood test.  He's switched teh day to Thursdays.  I expect next week he'll need a shot, but it will be the first one since Dec 30.

I just don't feel like working around all the bugs in this game.  I need to find the post in the BF forum that had all the Valentine Day's special collectibles and where we found them so I can practice those scene and stock up on ant mini game resources I need.
