Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I use the other pets when I'm doing a DQ that requires you feed more food.  I'm still getting some gold chests, just not as frequently.  The bear brought me a wooden one

The one good thing about the 3 bracelet quests is that if you do complete rounds of HO's you'll build up your coins.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I haven't gotten a DQ that needs pet food yet.  I haven't gotten very far with DQs at all, never finished one completely.  Actually, I think the best I've done is to finish the first part once.  But I started playing during the beta and ended up quitting fairly soon.   I didn't even have DQs when I quit.  And I started playing not long before Christmas, so most of my DQs were from that.  The regular ones are hard.   I need to change my mindset and put the DQ first on my agenda, maybe.  The normal quests will still be there but you only get one chance at each Daily.  I've been giving Xmas cards to anyone who still has them on their list.  My FTP friend Genaveve always has a wand on her list, I think I've used one once, do you ever use them?

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I don't use the wands or crystal balls.  I keep 5 of each for gifts and sell the rest for coins.

There are only 15 different dq series.  The find path doesn't work for a dq, so if you don't have what is needed (like 2 polestars) you either have to forget about it or use diamonds. Since there's an achievement for buying things, this is where I use my diamonds.  I don't use diamonds for regular quests since the game is designed to give you those things.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

My DQ is getting into someplace twice; it takes 2 of one thing and 1 of another.  I have tried all day and neither item will drop.  I don't want to spend that many crystals, though, since I would have to buy 6 items.

Then you'll have to keep trying, put the stuff on your wish list,  or wait until tomorrow for a different DQ.

If you don't care about achievements, you don't need to collect pet medallions or craft all the pets.  But there's nothing else to use the diamonds on, other than paying to enter a tournament, call the airship back early, or open the dice table early.  And none of those things earn you credit toward the market achievement.

Hey, Mila, where are you?  Did you see that there's an update?

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I can not believe that somebody has not only finished the update already, she's finished it and taken notes on all the crafted items, including how many coins AND stamps each one requires.

I am so grateful for this info.  The devs haven't changed the cost to craft the Steam Mechanism AND this update appears to have a quest for that item towards the very beginning, so I'm going to move my primary game forward from level 47 and try to reach the next resting place at level 53/54.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

Well, Mila, I have 40,000 of it.   I got the bow figurine finally yesterday, they must have really dumbed it down.  I was able to concentrate on DQs, used a few diamonds finally.  I don't have many pet medallions so I need to get me some.  I'm working on the last piece of some charm thingee, i think I get to go to the Mystery Chamber next.  I don't think I have the steam mechinism yet, when I get there I need to keep making and selling it to build up some money, right?

You're getting close to Steam Mechanism land.  Once you can craft that, when you get a quest for the Steam Mechanism OR the Tiara of Rapacious Age, you can craft and sell steam Mechanisms until the cows come home (or the devs fix their error)

I'm still crafting SM's in my gifting game while I move my main game forward to the next crafting opportunity.  Then that game crafts and I move the other one forward.
