Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

lily - by fix the museum, I mean fix it so it doesn't take 2400+ hours to customize.  The amount of gold it's asking for instant gratification varies in my game.  Sometimes it's asking for thousands, sometimes for hundreds.  Either way, I'm not paying.

wendy, I got oodles of gold in the golding giving glitch.  We are talking 10 million.  Bought lots of food and keepsakes.  Lost all of it in the gold taking glitch.  Somebody gave me 1000 god bars by buying on of the special items from me.  I've earned a bit more with achievements and playing the star slots, but until I hear that the cover charge for just walking up to a slot machine is for real and not yet another glitch, I don't feel like playing.

I'm really getting fed up.  I'm constantly losing the connection to the server in ART and in AK, especially in the PC game, not so bad with the iPad.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I missed both of the gold glitches because I didn't want to update with limited data.  I also had one of my games all done in the pirate theme but when two of my games warped together I lost the pirate theme and ended up with 2 animal themed games.  Haven't bothered to spend the money to get it back cause I didn't care for it, too brown.  I don't think I have the new quests on two of the games but I haven't been bothered to really check.  I could finally get into the wharf after I took down my koi flags.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm letting the museum customize.  It's down to about 10 days.  There's no way I'd pay gold to finish it fast because that would take about 1/2 of my gold.  Yesterday I was just randomly playing HOS and all of a sudden I got the "fix the airplane" quest.  That was fun until I got the one where you have to go into the Arcade.

Wendy -- I couldn't get into the Wharf until I took my flags down too.

lily - my building is still showing 2300+ hours to finish.   I'm still get auction dq's.  And I don't see the pint of working on the regular quests until they fix the cover charge in the arcade.  Well, until the fix the amount of time to customize the museum, since mine won't be finished until April 19.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I did all that uninstall/hidden file stuff but I'm still not getting the new quests on two of my games. One thing I noticed about those two games is that my pictures are gone off the walls.  Maybe I will have to go find them again and that will trigger it.  I haven't really played those games for any length of time either, just don'e have the energy or ambition.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Who cares if you get the quests?  after two or three you have to go play the slot machines.  But there's a bug and the game charges you to just click on the machine and then charges you again when you spin.  I'm not paying extra gold to work around programming errors.

I paid to skip quests back when we started because bugs weren't fixed promptly, my daily bonus got set back to day 1 because it took almost 6 months to fix that one, I'm fed up.

This update is so full of bugs BF hasn't even updated the game page to let everybody know that there IS an update.  When, or should that be if, the game does get fixed, I doubt I'll get mych pleasure from it.  There's so many spoilers on the forum pages, so not much will be  a surprise, and I'll be struggling to catch up in case those early quests need to be done before me get the timed quests.  And if I run into problems, the answers on teh foums will be so buried under new posts it will take forever to find them.

I really should just bite the bullet and delete this piece of garbage and move on.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Although the two games play the same (AK and ART) it's hard to believe that they're by the same company with all the screw-ups ART has had.  Like the daily check in.  I took computer programming back in the 80s so I know a little about it, they probably couldn't just copy that part of the program from AK but it just doesn't seem like it would have been that hard or taken very long to adapt that bit of programming.  That should have been fixed months ago.  I've always had problems with the paintings, I collect all the pieces but the painting doesn't show where it should so I have to collect all the pieces again.  AK pisses me off, though, when it keeps asking for the same thing over and over and over.  And my latest quest, 30 sage honeys.  30?  Really?  I would much prefer being asked for 10 of each kind.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

BZ didn't want to issue a separate update to fix bugs since they planned on a content update being released 'soon'.  When (if?) all teh pirate crap quests get released, you'll be seing the stuff they had planne for the big one year anniversary.  suppose I should be glad it was delayed, I would have landed in the Skyward Castle dressed as a pirate wench instead of needing to make up a celebration and choosing a medieval theme.  Captain Greg would have been appalled.

I really should just uninstall and get it over with.  I didn't stay in bad relationships hoping things would get better as long as I've hung around waiting for the game to get its act together.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got my plane fixed and off the ground.  I've started with Egypt and I've gotten fuel almost every time.  Egypt is hard.  Somebody in the forum said what I had started to suspect, that you need the paintings completed before you get the plane quests.  So I'll forge ahead with the one game and slowly get my paintings back together in another game.  My newest game just got Pensacola opened not too long ago so I will have to work on that location in that game.  Hubby is planning on doing stuff with the RV tomorrow but he hasn't called the cable company to schedule a service switch yet.  I'm going to drop the cable part of it and just have internet, and use Netflix and/or Hulu instead.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Well... I started to recollect my painting pieces on WendyDarling.  They've all been cashed in before and the paintings collected and hung, with checkmarks from cashing the collections to prove it, but only the first one is still in the museum.  I have bits and pieces leftover so I don't have to do each and every one.  I got the 2nd one, USA map done, found, and hung, then I found the one piece I was missing for the third one, music box, put it together and was told I needed the flowershop at night.  I go to the flowershop and it's reset at trainee.  Silhoutte mode is conneseur.  That's a lonnng way to go.  Especially when I've already done it.  Guess I'm down to just the Shaggy game, I don't have the energy or the will to do all that grind work all over again.
