Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm not impressed.  They've had almost 7 months to get this update ready for prime time.  There's no mention of how many new quests there are so I'm not going to rush to do them.  I'm sure there's not enough to last another 7 months.

I'm glad I don't have to make sure I'm in the game when the big hand is on the 12 to get my daily bonus, but it's going to take me a long time to get back to where I was and start seeing the big bucks.

No Christmas events so I'll have to hope they get their act together in time for a Christmas event next year so I can buy Christmas decorations.

I wonder if the antique's rating issue has been fixed, not that I really care what number other people see under my avatar.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

lily, some people are saying that customizing the museum triggers the quests.  That's probably why I got quests.  Of course, now I'm stuck waiting 100 days for the building to be completed or for an update that fixes the bug to be released.   Apparently just customizing to one of the colors will also trigger teh quests.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've got the new quests in one of my games for sure, but I just haven't been enthusiastic about playing anything this week.  I've started logging in every day, if I can do the DQ, alright, if not, I don't worry about it.  I actually still have some minis locked.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I started customizing the museum several days ago.  Apparently there's a glitch with the timer on the buildings too.  It seems as though it only counts down while you are in the game.  I've seen a couple of comments about this in the forums too.  Next time I'm in the game I think I'll note what the count is and check it when I go back after several hours.  Oh.  And customizing hasn't triggered any quests for me.

I checked my game.  It's counting down een when I'm not playing.  The amount of gold needed to speed things up has been corrected, no longer asking for thousands, but I'm not paying.  At this point, I don't care if I miss teh valentine's event because that building is still chugging along, I AM NOT PAYING GOLD.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Well, I'm down to my last thousand in gold, and I didn't even get to take advantage of the gold glitch.  I haven't started customizing the building, I'm thinking it's a glitch that will get corrected eventually.  I haven't really gotten back into ART yet, and it used to be my favorite.  Well, with my emotional rollercoaster going on I'm not really getting into anything right now.

Tirama -- I've been checking my timer on the museum and it is counting down when I'm not in the game.  It wasn't doing that early on.  I just wish they'd fix the game so I could get the new quests.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Wendy - I understand about not getting into any of the games because you're on an emotional rollercoaster.  I really do.  But you've got the chance to get off that coaster.  Please take it.

I'm really not sure how long I'll continue with this game.  It sounds like it's going to take a lot of gold to play it and unless we get a special event where I can earn oodles of it, I'll be lagging way behind everybody.  And unless they fix that museum, I won't be doing much until April.  I am done paying gold to get around BZ's programming bugs.

Tirama --"fix the museum"?  Obviously I've missed something (again).

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had thought you had a lot of gold saved from Valentines, Tirama.  I have a hundred collections saved in each game, so 1,000 gold for each game.  And now we have Valentine's coming again!  I really only want to be able to win 10 gold each day and not OD on it like last year.  I thought I would throw up from playing those same scenes over and over.
I know I have the plane quests on one game.  I just did the arcade quests, you have to get a 3-match jackpot on the gold and the star machine.  I hit the gold one the very first try, and for the stars I spent a total of 9 stars and I got a pizza, also, so it was delightfully easy for me to get through it.  Wish I could hit like that in Vegas but I seem to  have bad body chemistry with real machines.
