Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I saw that, but the info in the update thread lists a bunch of stuff.  Haven't downloaded it yet.  It also says it contains seasonal events.  I suppose the big increase in exerience is to offset our being able to afford food so easily.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The seasonal events were probably  Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  There's a countdown to Valentine's Day, but no new valentine's achievements.   There's achievements for mowing the lawn (won't be able to do that until spring/summer), raking the leaves (need to wait until fall)  we're going to have to update ALL the buildings to pirate theme BUT somebody said when they went to update the auction house (I think that's the building)  it was going to take 101 DAYS!!!!!

So all we've got right now is snow to look at and yet more auctions quests.  But, what the hell, we've only waited 6 months, what's another 35-36 days?

So not impressed.

Yeah.  My museum is 2429+ hours -- and I started it yesterday.  I could have sworn it was more like 100 days than 11 days to customize though.  A real quest?  Do you know what you did to trigger it?

I just opened the game to hand out keys.  BoomZap/BF were supposedly doing something on their end that hoped would trigger the quests.  Just try your game again.  Open up your friend list or teh auction since you need to be online for those functions and see if a quest comes in.

Tirama -- I did try that.  I got my daily reward and my auction quest <heavy sigh> but no quests.  Boomzap did say they were doing something through the servers that would trigger the quests. I tried and told them it didn't work for me.

I got another mini game DQ..  I only played the first quest that came in.  I need to catch up on writing my diary for DH, and I'm trying to finish Gizmo Christmas game.

It's been so long since Ive played teh hidden object scens, I can't remember where half the stuff is.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm getting really disgusted.  I keep reading the ART forums in BFG and, although there are a lot of people who don't have quests (like me), there are a lot of people who seem to be moving right along. At this rate I'll probably miss the Valentine's quests!   I can't even get on to the Wharf!  I click enter and nothing happens.

And from what I've read you have to play the slots to find the parts to repair the plane and it's taken some people quite a lot of gold and stars and coins to get the plane parts.  I'm not even going near there until I have a quest.

I only did the first quest.  I'm not touching the slots until they clarify the issue of a 'cover charge' for even clicking on a slot machine.

Not happy about needing to use gold bars for regular quests, especially since we don't know whether will get a chnace to earn them back before we finally get to International Pirate's Day, which according to wikipdia is Sept 19.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I was reading the Boomzap forums and Sirit of Auron said to click exactly in the middle of the enter door to get on the Wharf.  I did and got to enter the plane.  I guess that's all the progress I'll make this week!   Is it just me or does this seem to happen EVERY time Boomzap updates?  They say everything is fine, almost everyone has problems, then Boomzap says "oops"  and works on a fix.
