You sound like me, Tirama, don't want to count on a weekend BOGO. Who knows what they'll do with the weekend and then New Year's and the end of the year sale they usually have.
I had tried to use a gift certificate someone sent me 2 years ago and it came back as having been used. I sent an email to Customer Service cause I'm 99.9% sure I never used it, I've been hoarding it. But I suppose people could just punch numbers and letters in randomly and hit upon it. I have quite a few CS coupons I've been sitting on, I should really cash them in. Maybe I'll get lucky again and they'll send me another CE code!

They've been having a lot of half-price sales on Wednesday, most likely to thwart the use of the code on Mondays to get those extra punches. The weekend sales have not been very good, usually sales on the retail price, so probably a smart idea to get the games you really want today.
I'm getting what I want before Jan. 17 because it's insane for me to keep buying games since I have so many now. New Year's Resolution-I quit smoking in '93 on NYD and with all the numerous problems in the games, it should be easier for me to resist all the sales-just read the tech threads and look at my schedule.

Tee, I love that your smoking resolution started on New Year's Day but your game buying resolution doesn't start until the 17th. Does that mean you're cancelling Game Club? There's really no benefit to being a constant member except for the stockpiling of a credit every month. And it's weird, cause it's letting me buy or d/l TGT today if I want, usually I have to wait the extra day when it's a CE but they let me have a SE the same day as everyone else.
I had my 3 games I was going to use my CE coupons picked out but now I have to add the new Hidden Expedition to the possibilities
I wrote to GH again and got 2 coupons from somebody else right away but the coupons are just in his response email and don't have any expiration dates so I don't know how long they're good for. I had a punch card coupon expiring tomorrow so I bought the new Garden Rescue 3 Platinum that just came out. I've been hoping they'd get the Christmas Gizmo nono game, they have the others, but maybe I'll get Halloween instead. I can also get Risk.
I started Tin Soldier but didn't have much chance to play it, all the neighborhood strays were over. I got in on a game of darts and was winning when one of them 'accidentally' hit the wrong button and it ended the game. Told them they just couldn't stand the thought of being beat by a girl....

I just checked and the BOGO codes were still working. I looked at my purchase history and also the begining of this thread. We had a CE BOGO sale on New Year's Day.

Merry Christmas. I heard back from BFG about my gift certificate. They said I had used it, and told me what game. I went and looked in my purchase history, the game was there on that date, but the funny thing is that it was the same date I had gotten the gift certificate. I could have sworn, and would have staked money that I had never used it. I was hoarding it cause it didn't expire. God, I hate getting old. But in the good news category they gave me a coupon anyway. It's just a regular coupon, but still cool. And no expiration date.

Wendy isn't that funny how our minds can fool us like that. We are so sure we did something or didn't do something and here we did the opposite than what we were thinking. Nice that they gave you a coupon though.
In our Game Managers I thought that there was under MY GAMES a listing that said update. I have version 3.3.0.2 (2.8) The reason I ask is in Shiver: Poltergeist I didn't have the updated version and I got stuck where you use the tongs to take the metal out of the fire and I guess that this was fixed in a updated version. So I deleted the game and redownloaded it. I was so sure that our Game Managers told us what games had a update.

Sunshine, I think you have to look under settings or options for the manual update thingee.
I was over halfway through Tin Soldier and it froze on me. When I restarted it, it told me I had corrupted data and started me at the beginning with a new game. Back to Customer Service. It sucks not getting to finish a Christmas game at Christmas. I wasn't liking it as much as the other games, so no way do I want to start over, in fact, even though it's not finished it's going to the bottom of my pile of Christmas games for next year. Hopefully I'll get a CE coupon for a replacement. I've been bugging them a lot lately. It goes like that, though. No problems for months and then a bunch of them all at once.
