I sent an email to Gamehouse the other day because I haven't gotten a monthly free game yet. I'm supposed to get a free game each month, right? Do they send you an email or does it show up in your account? I joined 10/22 and haven't received anything yet. I wrote and told them that and I got a reply today. I think the dude was high or drunk or something because the only thing he wrote me was that my Funpass started on 10/22. I know it started on 10/22, I told you that in the email I wrote you. He also informed me that it ended on 10/9/15, that's a pretty short year where I'm from.

Wendy, you are sent an email each month with your free code, which is the same every month with the month changed. I get mine on or around the 15th of each month, to be used on or before the 15th of the following month. So I'd write to CS again and say that you're owed 2 or 3 codes and that you'd like to start getting the monthly codes.

Over the last few days, when I've desperately needed a rest, I've managed to play a new HOPA over at GameHouse that hasn't as yet been released by BFG.
7 Roses: A Darkness Rises
It's a great HOPA. It's not in the league of the big developers but I really had fun playing it. I even wrote to the developers telling them how much I loved the HOPs and minigames/puzzles.
The HOPs are varied with list, silhouette, FRAGs, etc, in zoom-in scenes or just in the scenes, but you can't tell which objects (or frags) need more done to find them, which I love as it adds another dimension and some challenge.
The minigames/puzzles are either original or with an original slant on some oldies. I loved them and asked the developers if you could replay them without having to replay the entire game. I got an immediate response (unlike a lot of developers who never respond, and which says a lot about them) saying that unfortunately not as it wasn't a CE.
HOWEVER, they also developed Tearstone, which I also loved, and Tearstone 2 will be released by BFG in Q2 in 2015 ... as a CE (they hope)!
Whenever BFG gets 7 Roses: A Darkness Rises, I would definitely recommend you demo it and see if you like it as, even though the adventure part is fairly simple, the HOPs and especially the minigames/puzzles are fun and original.

stusue -- That IS a heck of a sale! It sounds like you might be feeling a bit better. I hope so. When do you go home?
BFG has RUNAWAY GEISHA. I remember a review of it and thought it sounded interesting. Unfortunately it doesn't have a WT. I seem to remember people saying it was a good game but I think it might be too hard for me.

Wendy played Runaway Geisha. I think she said the items were small.
Wendy...When I had a membership to Gamehouse for a few months, I would receive a email with my free game code.
Speaking of Gamehouse codes, here is one for 25% off coupon. DBDJAEDVMHRJ

I received a reply to my reply. I had said that I didn't think he understood my problem and then I described it again. You guys understand that I'm not getting the monthly free game coupon that is advertised as a Funpass perk, right? You understand that, right? I'm explaining it correctly, right?
His reply:
Merlin (GameHouse Support)Dec 19 14:30Hello Matko,Welcome to GameHouse Customer Support.Considering you as a special case, I am willing to offer you a coupon code with which you can get a standard game for free from GameHouse. If you agree to it, reply back to this email. If you have additional questions please contact us.Thank you,Merlin
GameHouse Support
To start with, I'm not Matko.
To end with, you seem totally oblivious to my problem.
Maybe I just got Matko's email by mistake.
I replied again explaining my problem in even more detail and requested that if he didn't understand my problem to please pass the email to someone who did. I really wish we had a "banging head against desk" icon

Hey, Wendy, I got that EXACT same email sent to Matko that you got! The EXACT same email! However, when I replied ... I think also to Merlin ... that I think I got the wrong email I never heard back from him. So I waited until a day that he wasn't working, sent my query again, waited, and finally got a coupon code replacement for one that hadn't worked.
And anyway, since when have you had to write back to them to confirm that you want a coupon code?
I must admit, I've sent some emails where it must have been obvious how angry I was when they haven't understood my particular problem and I've just received a stock email in reply, an email that didn't address my issue at all ! I never hear back when I've sent those.
But I do generally hear back from them straight away with help. But did you get an email just recently with a survey about their CS? You had to pick which things were important to you about a lot of things, one of which is was how accessible CS was ... I said that chatting online and being able to call them (which we had until a year or 2 ago and which was brilliant!) was super important to me. Also working on weekends. I think they must have received a lot of complaints.

No customer service email. I took me probably 20 minutes- half hour to find the email contact page. BFG is slow now, but at least they seem to comprehend the emails they get.
