Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I did a bit of shopping today.  I went to Gamehouse and noticed my punchcard had a red ! next to it and saw I had 4 days left to use it. So I got Black Rainbow at 75% off.  I paid $2.50 for it and then I checked out their discounted games and got Orgins: Elders of Time for 1.99.

At Big Fish  I used the pcc that I won  on Dark Parables: The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide.  I read that the collectibles are in the SE version and some reviewers were saying the CE bonus was very confusing so I am glad I went with the SE. I hope Eipix did a good job on it.    I also had a expiring pcc at the end of the month so I used it today before I forgot.  I got Graven: The Purple Moon Prophecy.   I have two of Orchid Games previous games Royal Trouble & Spirit Walkers: Curse of the Cypress Witch.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Thanks for the info, everybody, I decided to pass on the games.  They will be on sale again, and I probably wouldn't have gotten around to playing them in 2015, so they can wait.
I have to use a PCC, too, may as well use it today cause I want the Dark Parables SE, too.  I have to rejoin before the end of the month but I'm putting it off as long as I can.  I have 2 CE coupons that need to be redeemed by 12/31 so I need to start thinking what I want to get.  I haven't really even paid much attention to BFG lately, do any of the newer games seem really CE worthy?  I still have some older ones in my maybe pile.
I have 2 games I need to use my 100% off coupons for, and I still haven't gotten anything for a free game for being a Funpass member since 10/22.
And Hello, Mia

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've finished all three Christmas Stories and enjoyed them all.  Nutcracker  was a second go.  They really have a lot of charm.  I don't really understand why some people were so upset about the story choice for this year.  Really all three stories are the same theme, a good guy, a bad guy, and lost love reclaimed.   Every Christmas movie revolves around this theme year after year.  I confess to watching lots of them and they are generally a rehash of the same story of redemption for someone.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Ive been playing Gizmos Universe.  Some of these are tricky puzzles mainly because I find the background so intrusive.  I wish it was just blank and one colour.  Other than that they are a nice change to the 8th floor ones which are simpler.  right now I am just on the 20 boards and having to redo  some of them.  that time crunch!  I would like to start another game but the darker stuff just seems so inappropriate at this time of year.  I need something cheerier.

There's an option to shut off the backgrounds and make it plain.

Oscar...Yes, I too like to watch Christmas Movies on TV.  Mostly on the Hallmark Channel.

I updated Elephant Games in the Developers List of Games on page 1.

I don't think I'll be getting anything in today's sale, but I'll take a second look though. See what I am missing in the different series.    I have been on a roll playing Elephant's games.  The last 4 out of 6 I have played been by them.  Well I am still playing Tin Soldier right now.

I was going to get TIN SOLDIER with my CE coupon but maybe I'll take a look at the sale and use it for something else.  Thanks sunshinej.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I picked up Christmas Stories: HCA Tin Soldier CE today and decided to start it since I haven't been playing any Xmas games. Finished a couple of my oldies from the other challenge - Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil (3 hrs-finished in one day, ok game) and Forgotten Riddles - The Mayan Princess (long game with riddles for clues to find objects-ok but glad I finished them both off). Also finished Rite of Passage: The Perfect Show CE which seemed like it took me forever but plan to play the other two after the first of the year.

Still working on Hidden Expedition - Devil's Triangle, something about it just isn't calling me to play it but it will get finished before the end of December, and another one that I started when my DGD was here a week or so ago, Christmas Adventure: Candy Storm which was too hard for her to play.

Want to hear what everyone else is playing or has on tap to play before the end of the year.
