Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Almost done with Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat.  I think what is taking me so long is I keep getting lost.  I don't know how many times I went one way or in 1 room when I should have went the other way or in a different room.  It does have a jump map, but I  haven't used it yet.

Has anyone demo'd the ERS game Midnight's Call?

Okay, I was wondering where have Anki and Meg and MIsscat been?  Anki are you still working lots of hours?  Meg, Is the paperwork all done and how did your husband like a American Thanksgiving?   Misscat, Is the construction work all done and can you finally enjoy be on your new deck?

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've been wondering about them, too.  Hope they're not sick or left us.
I started Funpass on Oct. 22 and I've never gotten a coupon for the free monthly game.  how do they come?  Are they emailed or does it show up in your GH account somehow?  I"m going to have to get ahold of CS pretty soon.
I've only read the reviews of Christmas Eve and they really put me off.  I want a beautiful holiday game like Christmas Tales.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Yeah I'd like to know what happened to them too.  Although Anki does check in from time to time.

I read the reviews of that ERS game and I agree.  NOT a Christmas game!  It might be a good game, but not for me at least not now.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've only looked at the screen shots of the ERS Christmas game and wasn't impressed.  I want bright vibrant colors for Christmas.

I bought the new Elephant Christmas game.  Don't know when I'll get to it, I've been enjoying the Christmas content of Midnight Castle.  Elephant Games sure do know how to do Christmas.

I finished Christmas Griddlers.  It was okay.  Had to shut the music off, it bugged me for some reason.  Couldn't understand why so many of teh layouts had 2013 in them.  Duh!  This game was released last year.

I've played some of The Ultimate Christmas Puzzler.  It has a section of jigsaw puzzles and a section of puzzles where you rotate the boxes.  These sections have 4 different difficulty levels.  The third section of other puzzles consist of Spot the Difference (these are hard!), concentration, trace the wires and open whatever in the correct order, and maybe one other kind.  You can quit in the middle of a puzzle and it saves your progress.  Very colorful and nice Christmas music.

I'm saving the last two Christmas Stories games to play after I finish the Christmas content of MC.  If I don't get to them before Jan 6, I'll save them for the hots days of the summer and have a Christmas in July party.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm the same way, Tirama.  I want to play the Christmas games but I'm obsessed with Midnight Castle right now.  If I play a different game I'm missing cards and candy canes and wreathes and ornaments and santa hats and reindeer eggs and penguin eggs... well, you know what I mean
I am playing another game since I'm only playing MC on the desktop.  My other obsession is Risk.  I might have to get it with a coupon I'm playing it that much.

I was really surprised by your post Wendy.  The little of MC that I played early on there was no way I'd ever think the game would have Christmas stuff!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hi all, thanks for missing me

I have been working like crazy  and this week before Christmas continues the same way. I have today off and then I ´ll be working Sunday- Friday.
One fun thing: we have gotten lovely kittens , two brothers, we call them Teddy and Freddy (after Mickey Mouse´s nephews ), they are 13 weeks old.

I have finished Finders. It was rather fun but you couldn´t do anything in advance, if you got a it as a quest you still have to do it again. But it was worth playing.

I have also finished Fantasy Mosaics 5 and Fill and Cross: Pirates Riddles 2. The first one was fun and the second one: you know 8 Floorish

I bought (with a free CE-coupon) Christmas Stories 3:Hans Christian Andersen´s Tin Soldier and I really love it! I was totally immersed and would have finished it in one sitting but the day after I had to get up at 04.10  and I haven´t had time to finish it yet. There are a lot of interactive things in the scenes and I love the music!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hi anki!   Good to see you here.  Hope work calms down so you can enjoy Christmas.  Kittens are so cute.  Hope you enjoy them.  You have me stumped by saying the game was "8 Floorish".  No clue what that means.

Speaking of among the missing -- has stusue checked in after her surgery?

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

lily - 8 Floors is the developer of many of the griddlers/riddlers nonogram games.  If yo'd played one, yo've plyed them all.  They can't always be solved by logic, sometimes you have to guess or use a hint.  But there's no penalty for using hints, indeed, there's an achievemnt for using so many of them.  I'd never pay $$ for one of the games, but they'll do for when you have a pcc an dnothing else to use it on.

Speaking of nonogram puzzles, today's soft release is a Christmas Gizmos.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hello Anki

It is good to hear from you.  I was wondering if you were still working lots of hours and see that you are.  Like lilyr said I hope it calms down for you next week in time for Christmas.   2 kitties   what fun.  I bet they are very entertaining to watch.

I finshed Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat SE.  I feel like it ended with a cliffhanger.  I wasn't at all satisfied with the ending.  It was a very pretty game and I like how slowly the story began and it really picked up steam at the end and for it to end so abruptly.  I feel disappointed by the ending and read what others had to say in their reviews and no one else mentioned it, so maybe just me.

I started Christmas Stories: HCA's Tin Soldier this afternoon.  Like Anki said there are lots of little interactive bits in the scenes that are fun to discover.
