wendy - it's only Dec 9.  Just keep clicking on the snowflakes and playing the hidden object scenes.  Concentrate on earning the achievement for finding 1,000 Christmas decorations in the HO's and then you'll be surprised when you check your card total.

I've finished quest number 3 for the greedy knight but he still wants more expensive stuff crafted in triplicate.

Thank you for posting, mila, I was getting pretty worried about you.  So by next weekend your course of treatment should be over?  I pray it does its job and cures you. 
Our trailer is supposed to be bug bombed today so I won't be able to play much.

I've only managed to craft one pet, the reindeer.  It's a good pet, though.  Fed it twice so far, at the Christmas tree location, and it brought back a gold chest each time.  And it doesn't eat much, only 4 unique food.

We've only been gathering cards for two days, so I'm not going to panic yet.  I'm not really getting many cards from the sleigh/airship.  I think I've got 2 that way.  Most of mne are from clicking snowflakes or finishing elf quest and opening the chest at the end of the quest.

I don't see why anyone would pay money for this game.  It doesn't seem like it would really help much.  In a game like AK I could see investing some money to increase my energy bar but that's really not needed in this game.  I'm still at a fairly low level, but by the time i'm done doing a round of HOs (and that elf dude is really helpful with that) I've got less than a half hour to wait, and during that time I can craft stuff, look at the strategy guide to get started with my next crafting item, collect flowers, mess with the airship, post a quick one here and Im ready for rounds again.  It's aggravating when everything you need is in the same couple places but you get there eventually.

I think I"m going cross-eyed.  This is pretty much all I've played since Christmas started.  At least my AK energy is getting built up.  I'm still on the content of the original game cause I don't think i'm level 18 quite yet.
