"free"  casino game.  I did try it,  immediately deleted it when I realized
you had to play  on-line,  which I have absolutely not the faintest shred of interest in!  But it keeps coming back,  like a bad dream.  Don't know if it's back on my GM,  but the ads are intrusive.  Still,  it's not enough to drive me away.  I did notice that Paul Thelen,  in his interview or whatever it was,  said that most of BF's  customer base now consists of mobile players.  And,  of course,  they have to   "go with our strength."  Meaning money.

I don't think BFG is going anywhere either.
I just don't care for the recent turn of events, and they have very little I am interested in buying these days. I took a one year sabbatical from BFG but retained my membership, out of a sense of loyality I guess. When I came back a few months ago it was still slim pickins for me, I like LFG, adventure games; I am really burnt out on the others. The exception to the rule is that I will play almost anything in a group play .
@ Miss Cat Lady, how did you get rid of the casino game? I don't have that option.I can only click the "New ways to play" option which only temporarily hides it,

  I get annoyed when they say that most of the customer base consists of mobile players; it is what they would LIKE to think but we all know that it can't be true!
I deleted the casino game from the GM, will see if it came back ; how rude, if so!
Oh yes, it is ALL about the money. 
Funny, as I find fewer and fewer games on BF that interest me, I started back to adventure games(where I started, lol) and have discovered a lot of wonderful indie developers, (like Darkling studios, etc)

I've read the various articles/posts written about this.  I think a while ago either someone told me that a developer was switching to mobile games or I read it some place.  I can't remember which developer it was though.

Since Ireland is part of the EU BFG will have to play by the EU's rules.  That mandates a 30 day  discussion (consultation?) with the employees before they can be terminated.  It would be interesting if Ireland gave BFG any "perks" to get them to locate in Irelandf.

Knock on wood, cross my fingers (which makes it hard to type! ) I haven't gotten BFG Casino installed in my GM.  It seems very cuious that just a few weeks ago BFG was gungh ho to get 13 year olds into the Forums.  Now they have a game that can be easily abused by said young players (buying tons of chips on parent's credit card).  And isn't it illegal to aim gambling at children?
