Lol it's more of my dad thinks he's funny.
Freyasmom - way up there Lily mentionned Fairway not being available. She (unless I'm mistaken) is referring to the original Fairway by Grey Alien which I love and have played over and over and over again under different players as I daren't delete it.
Lily I meant the Sinister City game, but you are right about the Fishdom games. although I confess the new one is so beautiful I may get it to try on my iPad. I've never played any of the Northern Tales thru. Or any builder.

Yikes! I just read the review of SINISTER CITY and feel like I need a nap! Not because of the length of the review but I was exhausted just reading everything you were expected to do in the game -- after trying to figure out what the game wanted! It sounds like the game might have been a good one but .... It's a definite no buy for me. And I won't demo it either. I play games to relax, not to get so frustrated that I'll want to throw my computer out of the window. BTW -- I always have a book with me at the computer so I'll read a page or two while waiting for hint buttons to recharge. If the hint button took that long how long did the skip button take?

wendy! darling! Wow! No pressure there at all! MY review changing your mind???? And you bought a game because of it????? (me fainting) Wow. Like, really, nooooooo pressure at all.
Thanks soooooooooo much for the link! If I have $2.99 at the end of today I'll definitely buy it. Better than a CE price at BFG. You're an angel.

Sounds like a lot of "can't see the forest for the trees"! But I will give it a look.
I have at least 60 demos dl'd to my GM. I look at them and think , too many choices?
mercy buckets for the reviews. (Lol did your husband have that one in his bag of sayings? )
Hmmmm. Mercy buckets????? Nope. Can't say I ever heard THAT one come out of his mouth. What does it even mean???? Having a slow brain day. But, I like how it rolls off the tongue.
No. My fav these days is __ __ __ __ a BEAR! Don't EVEN know where I got that from. Probably the hubby.

Instead of Merci beau coup.
Hmm I'm not sure what the bear one is.

Freyasmom -- I enjoy your reviews. I've never gotten into the FISHDOM games. As oscar said they seem to have too much going on. I'm content with GARDENSCAPES and NORTHERN TALES.
oscar -- I'll bet mercy buckets is an English-speaking Canadian thing.
Hmmm. Northern Tales? Don't think I've tried it but ... obviously.... now I will. I have Island Tribe - a series of 7 games so far. Adelanto 1. A few more I can't remember the names of. On an island, forest, somehwere in the kingdom and you have to build houses and cottages and sawmills and markets. Is it anything like them???

NORTHERN TALES (there are 4) is more like ROYAL ENVOY or MKFTP. Except it has an untimed option! In NORTHERN TALES you're trying to free people, find objects, progress to the next level. You do have to build buildings to produce resources and get rid of ghosts, wolves, etc. They are fairly easy, bright, fun, have Achievements and some humor.

Hidden Object Crosswords
I wanted to like this game. I love doing crossword/word puzzles and I have the first one and totally enjoyed it. So, yeah, wanted to like it a LOT. Thought I did, at the beginning. Then, realized I had no instructions or direction. When I tried to input the missing letters to a word, I kept getting "wrong word" with all my letters in RED. But, when the word was solved .... guess what??? It was the word I had tried to type in! What??? Also, the game froze at the beginning of a match 3 game. I had to CAD out, and go back into the game. Instead of picking up where I left off, I had to restart the entire level. After entering my profile name, I was taken right into the game. No tutorial, no instructions, no help of any kind. And, trust me, you NEED to know what's going on at any given time to be able to play this game well. So, I quit the game, entered a NEW profile and VOILA! Instructions were right there in the crystal ball-like thing in the center. Just keep reading it. There's also a "help" button at the main menu. I didn't click on that but assume it probably is helpful in regards to how to play the game.
The graphics were ok, I guess. I'm having eye issues so really can't comment because I can't really see anything well anyway. Music was turned down.
The various mini games were lots of fun .... I really liked that. But, very slow-moving IMO. When an answer was finally revealed, sometimes the "game" misspelled it. For instance, "perfum" per the game. We would call it "perfume" or "parfum".
I didn't find this so much a crossword puzzle as LOTS of mini games. I guess you can't have a game that's JUST mini games, there has to be a purpose to them, so BAM! Let's call it a crossword. Just didn't work for me.
I guess my review is all over the place. That's sort of how I felt the game was .... everywhere. I REALLY wanted to like it but it's just not going to be a purchase for me. I recommend everyone give it a try .... because MY issues were most likely that .... mine. And, if you find you like it ......
ENJOY!

I have Sinister City. It came on a cd with 2 other games. Ghost Whisperer and Immortal Lovers. I have played Ghost Whisperer, but not the other 2. At least I know what Sinister City is all about now. Thanks for the review freyasmom.
I have the first Hidden Object Crosswords. I just replay that one instead of buying the second one which looks like it needs some fixin.
