Has anyone played Emerald City? It doesn't seem to be available on BFG anymore. It is in my GM so I hope it's playable.

Next games in this challenge to play before end of December:
15. Forgotten Riddles - The Mayan Princess (8/21/09) Finished - 12/15/14
16. Laura Jones & the Gates of Good and Evil (8/28/09) Finished - 12/10/14

Got a few games finished last month, nothing that remarkable and this month may be spotty due to the holidays, but just having more time to play my games will be a treat.

oscar -- I played EMERALD CITY CONFIDENTIAL and quite liked it. It's like those 1940s noir detective movies. I checked and there's a thread about it not being available. That's from October this year. I looked up the stats and it says it'll play on computers up to Microsoft 8. I thought maybe it wasn't for sale any more because it hadn't been updated. I looked in my purchase history and it's listed just like any other game. Games that aren't for sale any more usually have a red square instead of the little picture for the game. This still has the picture. Now I'm really curious!
Tee -- Wow! I've played all 3 of the games you've listed!

I thought I had Emerald City Confidential, but I don't. Upon futher investigation in my game manager it is Millennium Secrets: Emerald Curse. Oops.

I didn't like Emerald City Confidential. IIRC, the entire game all you do is select reaponses. I got quite bored.

I liked it because it was like one of those old noir PI movies. It does have a lot of dialog but, if the story is good, I like that.

I did like those Nick Chase games for the 40s film noire feel, but I reserve the right to trash it if I'm overcome by boredom! Unless it's a good read, then I'll treat it like a book.

I also have Emerald City but it is way down my list of games so will be interested in what you have to say if you make it through and also have a couple of Nick Chase ~ I love the old 40's film noire movies. Anybody see Double Indemnity with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray, pretty good movie.
