I have to think waaay back to remember my first game as a kid but thinking it was probably Candyland. I just found a puzzle game in a drawer in one of my folks' coffee tables when I was cleaning out their house and true to form, they never threw anything away and in this case, I was so glad because it brought back a lot of memories.  It was called "Dr. I.Q." Jump and it was a little plasic white square with 32 red pegs in the shape of a cross with the center hole empty.  The strategy was to get all pegs removed with only one in the center.  We used to play that alot and got really good at it. I recently came across it, either in a game I was playing or online somewhere and sad to say, not able to get only down to one, but did get to two.  It may have been in one of the Azada games that I recently played and I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it.

As an adult, probably Monopoly, as we didn't play a lot of adult board games.  Wendy mentioned Euchre and that is one game I totally don't know how to play.  On Pogo, where I am a member, you can play that, Cribbage, Spades, Pinochle, Canasta, in fact most of the card games.  My mom taught us and the neighborhood kids in the summer how to play Canasta and Shanghai.  She'd get down on the floor and play with us; guess that's why I enjoy playing Canasta against the computer bots.

Glad you posted this question, freyasmom, 'cause it just shows how we have all loved to play games since we were little and it hasn't stopped.  I know I have always been competitive but still maintain that kid deep down in side that loved game playing; another trigger was the Highlights magazine that was always in the doctor's office.  Little did I know back then what happiness that little magazine would inspire down the road.

Sun I have that game you're talking about.  I think it was my grandparents, although mine is called HiQ.  I think the board is actually made of Bakelite.  It is quite nice, but damn I've lost a peg.

Mystery Case Files:    MCF is being released.  As a reward, the official trailer was shown.  Eh, it was ok.  I played the beta so I wasn't really impressed.  But, YOU might be!  You won't have to wait because by the time you read this .... the game will be RELEASED.

But, Carlos says:  MCF is still going to be talked about on the forums as everyone will be playing the game.  If you're in a part of the world where it's cold right now, this is the perfect game because it's cold in the game.  (Carlos only mentioned the Pondfriends forum.)
