WTF!!!! I just got to Gizmotek on one of my games and I've already started the event! I don't know what's in it, but I'm totally not prepared. I don't have hardly any of the resources they need there, like I only have 1 of everything, and I had just started updating all the buildings to level 2 (before being asked) because I figured I didn't have enough resources to play any games so may as well get some building done. Now I"m off to the forums to try to find a thread about it. Of course I have 6 hours until my buildings are ready

None of the threads in the forum have a list of the quests, as far as I can see. The stupid search function only lets me see the first page. Does anyone remember what I'll need? I do have quite a few max fill soups. It's the messed up Shaggy game that's doing it, I keep debating about starting that one over again. If I did I would use my crystals for energy increasing foods instead of Peggy. I can't tell you how lucky you were to get it that one time it was offered, when I went back the next day to get it, it wasn't available anymore. I ended up spending 145 crystals on it. Wish I had a bigger energy bar instead.

You don't have to play any of the Gizmo mini games for the Gizmo quest. At least the half the quests were talk to poeple or go look at something, a couple go play this hidden object scene for the fun of it. I didn't even activate my orb to play the game. Instead I used keepsakes that gave extra experience to help get close to leveling up. And cashed in some sets for experience.
Wendy, check your pm's. I sent you that PCC I owed.

Yes, what Tirama said! Hold off on the minigames. Even though I'm sure you're eager to do the untangle the strings puzzles. And the Gizmotek rewards are really good.

I do want to untangle those strings so badly. I think the first quest is to play a Gizmotek mini game but I had just started the 6 hour level 2 upgrade when I triggered the event so I can't even do anything until late afternoon. I think my energy is about half full, over 300 anyway. I have at least 10 soups and 100 sandwiches. I have a lot of other quests open so whereever Gizmotek sends me it will help me with something else, hopefully. I think I'll use your strategy, Tirama, and use an experience keepsake. I think I just leveled up yesterday, but I imagine I'll get lots of experience from all these "go see"s. Just wish I had a task list so I could figure out the best time to use it. I think I probablay have lots, so who cares, right? It's just killing me that I can't even do anything yet

wendy - none of the quests involve Gizmo mini games. If you have a quest for that, it was triggered from getting a building to level 1. You won't use any gizmo mini game resources in the gizmo quests, so it's safe to play those mini games. 10 soups and 100 sandwiches is more than enough to get you through the quest.
Avoid feeding the dark chest. until Gizmo quests are done.

That was weird, my Gizmotek counter was going but I didn't have any tasks for awhile. Then when my buildings got upgraded it started. I used most of my energy on the first one, FIND 5 golden oak and 10 invention fuel. Then I asked a citizen, found the safety armor, and watched the machine screw up. Now I'm on task 5, and this one's going to take awhile. FIND 5 flowers each in Rosetum, Apricus, and Coral Cove. That's 15 visits even if the miraculously drop every time. Apricus is 65 energy (325), Coral Cove is 80 (400), and Rosetum is 84 (420). That's 1145 energy, I only have 745 when I'm full, and I"m empty now. I have 20 something thousand experience but I need 50 something to level up again, so that's an awfully long way away.

I filled up my energy with food (750ish), then used a keepsake for 20%off so Coral Cove was only 64 to play. I used all my energy and had to refill and use another couple hundred before I got the 5 stupid Whispering Lilies. It took more than a dozen plays. The other flowers usually drop easier. At least I can use the Lilies for one of my other quests, I needed 16 of them. One quest isn't that important but the other needed 5 and it's for the dark chest or the door, so I can get going on that storyline now.

I've been ignoring the dark chest unless I have a lot of what it's asking for, since th echest doesn't give coins or experience. That mermaid is going to have to wait a long time for me to rescue her.

I finished with the flowers, then I had to watch the machine lift off the ground, now I'm on Quest 7, FIND 5 gems each at 3 different locations. I managed to get 3 of them before my keepsake ran out. I used some energy on a few other quests so I could get some new ones and maybe they'd require some of the same HOs. I've got the princesses on their new stakeout and then I went and played the string game. I the string game, it only takes me a few seconds. I wish I could come do yours for you, Lily. I read that advice about the triangles but didn't really understand it, I just stretch mine out as far as I can and then you can usually see the problem areas. They usually put several strings on the opposite side so go ahead and switch around. I don't have enough whatevers to try the other one yet. I don't like the new card game, there's just too many cards out there to look at, too many choices. I haven't got in to the weaving one yet, either.
I got my hair dyed blond over the summer, now I have 2 inches of dark roots so I have an appointment at the salon today. But not the real salon, I'm going to the cosmetolegy school one. It's $40 instead of $80. I had $80 saved up seperately to do my hair, I told hubby he could use it for something he's been wanting and I'd just use a box to color it back natural, but he said he'd rather use it on the blond hair. He's only seen it with the roots showing (I did it in mid June). I figure if I go to the school I can get it done twice. I hate going to the salon almost as much as the dentist. My hair is coarse and it's wavy and has a mind of its own. When I was young I had orangey red hair, now it's just a nondescript dark color with some grey, but if you do anything to it the red comes back out again. My blond is actually kind of Nicole Kidman gold/strawberry blond. I'm leaving in an hour and I'm dreading it, hopefully I'll be all happy when I get done.
