Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hiya Meg.  Been missing you.  I tried Imperial Island M3.  I was going to try the new one but the first one had much better reviews so I did that one instead.  I liked it alright.  I did the demo in untimed mode, I can see where it would be quite challenging with a timer.  You have to get treasure chests and railway cars off the bottom of the board and load them while also clearing the colored tiles.  It gives you powerups for making L and T matches, as well as 4 and 5 in a row.  I'd like to pick it up sometime, maybe with a PCC on Monday.

I started Witches Legacy The Hunters and The Hunted.  So far it's very enjoyable. Good story and creepy Elizabeth is back.

I'm playing Bloody Mary.  I'm not into it at all.  Steady use of the hint button.  No more Grim Tales for me, I just don't care for the series.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm trying to decide on 2 games today to use my PCCs.  I'm looking at the reviews of Queen's Quest, it's SE with CE features.  Several reviews say there are too many HOs, which means I probably wouldn't like it, but other reviews say there are too many puzzles
I just acquired Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire, it's M3.  I have one more PCC to use and that will get me another game.  I think it will be Fright.  I'm debating on whether to use my Dead Reckoning Silver Moon CE coupon this month, if I used the PCC I'm getting and borrowed another one I'd fill another card.
i want to wait until mid-day before filling my card and deciding about using my CE coupon, just so I have a bit later expiration time in case I need it.

It's always nice to hear from you meg.  I'm sorry to hear you & your husband's situation is still the same.  Hopefully those paperpushers will be satisfied soon and your husband will  finally get his work authorization papers all finished.

Regarding games I just been dabbling here and there.  Some of Puppetshow: Return to Joyville, Clutter IV, Awakening Kingdoms and one that lilyr and wendy were talking about earlier, Shadow: Price of our Sins.  I haven't been able to finish anything this month so far.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I filled out one card with Imperial Island and the SE of Fright. Then I cashed in the free game I won of Dead Reckoning CE, used the PCC I just got and borrowed another from Tirama to fill another card.  I got the SE of Ominous Objects and also Mystery Castle Mirror Secrets.  So now I'm all evened out and my membership ends next week.  I'll have to rejoin again in late December because I have a couple CE replacement coupons expiring then and they usually have a BOGO at the end of the year.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hi guys, I haven't got time to read right back but I just quickly wanted to let everyone know that GameHouse has a 50% sitewide sale (no code required) on until 23 October.  I've just used a 25% discount code on top of that to get a few SEs for $2.24.  I still have a few I'm looking at getting but my sister and I are off to the movies so I'll check them out later and let you all know which ones I got.  At least 2 BFG hasn't released yet, eg. a second Gizmos game for Halloween ... Gizmos - Spooky Adventures ... and Legend of Gallant, an M3.

Wendy - I played Imperial Island 1 with my FunPass but didn't feel the need to purchase it.  However, I LOVE the second one as it's much more challenging and I purchased that one straight away.  I had to replay lots of levels lots and lots of times to get 3 gold in Timed Mode - at least 10 times and these levels were all 5-7 minutes long!  You sure get your money's worth with this game.  The reason it didn't get such good reviews at BFG is that there's the extra difficulty of trying to get all 3 stars within the time, although you have to play long enough to get enough points to get that third gold star, which is really, really difficult at times as sometimes you finish the other 2 goals before you get enough points to get the third star.  I loved it!

Wendy - I've posted a full review of Queen's Quest - Tower of Darkness if you want to check that out.  It's review #26 in my review thread.

Meg - great to hear from you but bummer about hubbie's work situation!

Oscar - sorry your job isn't quite working out the way you wanted.

Gotta run, the movies await!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I want Evil Pumpkin and Runaway Geisha but I don't want to spend $10.  It really screwed up our finances, losing our roomate.
